chapter 22: Visiting the sky fall Library
Several minutes after Adriel left, Fan linxu's eyes quivered before slowly opening, immediately an icy wave surged out of her freezing liquid particles within 20 feet from her.
Fan Linxu grinned before retracting are icy aura, she was delighted! , just yesternight she could only spread her icy aura by 17 feet but after receiving Adriels blessing it leaped to twenty feet!!
"At this rate, my physique might physique will rise to mid-tier physique in no time! Uh?" Fan Linxu thought but she suddenly notice that she was alone in the room, she spread her spiritual sense and found that Adriel wasn't even in the house 'where did that dumbo go'
This was strange, Adriel always cultivate and never left to even visit anywhere in the sect, except for the period when he needed to undergo tribulation.
She felt he might have left something for her to know where he was so she began to look around, sure enough, her eyes fell on a note by the bed, she read the content and it brought a smile to her face 'seems that guy won't continue hiding from the world like a weirdo wait '
suddenly she thought of something and she frowned, she remembered her adopted mother is still in trouble and felt the urge to take this chance to go look for her but then she remembered the promise she made to Adriel and rejected that thought, a memory of how sickly he looked the last time he used the MIDAS touch bless on her flashed before her eyes.
She shook her head 'that idiot impatiently left without eating anything....sigh... oh well I'll just prepare a fierce beast meat for him to recover his strength'
Think up to this point she left the room and after confirming the Panda egg was still well she left the house, her mission was to hunt a lot of fierce beasts!.
Too bad for those guys
************
Somewhere else Adriel arrived in front of a five-story pagoda, this building was the sect library.
He was currently dressed in his signature white long robes, and there was a round green token pinned to his chest, few minutes ago he went to the general activity building of the sect to get a new token.
In the sky fall sect, the disciples and elders were divided into menial, outer, inner, and core disciples all identified with yellow, green, gold, and black tokens, these tokens signified sect member's identities and could be used to do virtually do anything in the sect, from storing merit point to taking sect missions.
the black token stood above them all and belong to only the sect master and a few others only, but Adriel didn't dare wear it proudly so he wouldn't attract unwanted attention, he liked being low-key besides there was a hidden enemy gunning for him in the dark he didn't want to give them any reason to attack him.
It didn't matter that Adriel was the child of an elder he had to follow the rules like everyone, he had to start from the bottom, when he was in the foundation establishment he was a menial discible but now that he had broken into the martial core realm he was directly promoted and became an outer sect disciple.
"Here goes nothing" Adriel took a deep breath before going inside.
When he got inside he was astounded by what he saw the entire building was luxuriously decorated, and many disciples were moving around, surfing through different books.
most importantly there were many books here at least ten thousand.
"How do I find thunder-attributed techniques with so many books lying around" Adriel mumbled to himself under his breath.
But to his surprise, someone actually answered him
"It's not difficult, this floor is divided into several sections, Fire manuals are kept in the section where there's a fire image inscribed on top, by your left you will find thunder attributed manuals, of course, the only available skills here are mainly for menial sect disciple, if you want higher manuals go to the stairs over there and it insert your token you will be allowed to go to the next stairs" An aged voice reached Adriels ears and explained everything without stop.
Adriel was taken back that someone heard him but then he thought of our the guy did it:' his spiritual sense must have picked my voice' he then nodded before saying "thank you for the voice to hear"
After that he ignored all the books on this floor and directly went to the staircase, he used his token and the barrier around the stairs disappeared allowing him to pass.
When he arrived on the first floor he encountered another barrier, he could use the black token to pass but he didn't instead he decided to explore the books on this floor after all they were suitable for martial core realm disciples like him.
The room had fewer disciples here, about a few dozen, even the books were noticeably smaller, about a few thousand.
Adriel glanced around and quickly spotted the Lightning section.
With quickened footsteps, he arrived there and one by one he began to scroll through the names of the books.
He didn't notice that when he arrived two people were watching him closely, their eyes showed complex expressions, especially shock.
"Isn't that the Jinx of Skyfall, wait if he's here doesn't that mean...." The older of the pair a brown-haired young man clad in golden robes exclaimed excitedly before words trailed off.
As if confirming his guess the other man in black robes pointed as he shouted "it's him!, that's the jinx of Skyfall, look at his chest, green token! He has become an outer sect disciple that means he broke through!"
The disciples present grew interested in what he was saying, they looked in the direction the black-robed disciple was pointing at and then they saw him.
Many of them had once seen Leinad during one of his tribulations and as cultivators they had better memory so they naturally remembered Leinads face
Soon the originally silent hall was flooded with noise.
"It's really him!" Someone shouted
"He really broke through last time," another person said
"Sniff sniff, it's true what they say, hard work pays " A girl began to shed tears of joy when she saw him.
