Volume 2.48 Headmistress' Pets
Myrene entered the Headmistress' office. And she was right with her guess. There was no one inside. She walked towards the sofa and took a seat there while observing her surroundings. Aside from the crackling sound of the fire in the fireplace and Myrene's breathing, there were no other sounds that could be heard inside the wide room. The smell of old books lingered in the air.
'Did I come abruptly? But this is better this way. I hope it is alright for me to come here.' While deep in her thoughts...
*Thump!*
Myrene shifted her head to the source of the sound that suddenly got her attention. It was on the right bookshelf of the room. From her place, she saw a thick book that fell on the floor. She stood up in order to return it to its proper place. As she picked it up, the book was heavy, and the size was like that of a huge world encyclopedia.
