Clementine

Clementine was in a pickle, she didn't know what to do because it felt like she was the one that brought these zombies here herself.

She was feeling guilty and there was no way she was about to leave the baby because she didn't know if it was alone or if it was being protected by someone.

But the latter was highly unlikely because they would have found a way to keep the baby quiet.

"Fuck!" Clementine cussed. She checked her gun quickly to see if had any bullets left but she knew it was not nearly enough to kill these many zombies.

She hated the situation she found herself in but she also knew that if she didn't come here then the baby might not stand a chance.

Something told her this child was alone but she didn't rule out the possibility that someone else might be there with it.

She knew how protective people were in this world because everyone was going to do whatever it took to survive.

Clementine had no plans of becoming a casualty but she hoped that this wouldn't require something so drastic.

There was no way she could draw the zombies away because the baby kept crying, the sorrowful voice echoed.

The dogs were growling, they sounded more vicious dead than alive, and eventually one threw themselves through the window.

The glass shattered and that was when Clementine knew that she needed to do something and fast.

Clementine knew she had to put the dogs down otherwise they could prove to be a threat.

She moved to the building, she had to be careful otherwise she would find herself in a situation that even she couldn't escape.

Clementine thought about leaving the baby because there was no guarantee that it wasn't already too late as the other dogs soon followed after the first that had entered.

Clementine was left with the dumber versions but the fact that the baby continued crying meant that they couldn't reach the baby or it would have died already.

Clementine tried to sneak past the other zombies, but they couldn't pass through the windows because they could not jump.

That and they were dumb as fuck so it couldn't be helped but the dogs showed higher signs of intelligence.

Clementine noticed that they were all situated at the front door so she had to find a way to go around, she had to go through the backdoor.

This should be a lot easier because the dogs were no longer present and Clementine noticed that the zombies had a range, they couldn't perceive everything as they had a limited range.

Clementine managed to do just that and luckily, the backdoor was unlocked so she didn't need to break the window to enter but rather, she could enter the building quietly.

Clementine held her gun, pointing it forward as she moved forward, the baby's voice was coming from upstairs and the constant banging on the door helped her confirm her suspicion.

They hadn't gone in but now she had to kill them; Clementine soon felt a hand grab her shoulder and she didn't hesitate to put it whoever or whatever it was that grabbed her found themselves on the floor.

Clementine noticed it was a man, he looked like he was near death, his face was beaten to a pulp and it looked like he just regained consciousness.

He tried to speak but no words could come out of his mouth and this implied he had somehow taken damage to his vocals.

He pointed up the stairs and Clementine knew what he was trying to say, he was referring to the baby but what happened here?

These wounds, there was no doubt that it was inflicted by another person but Clementine had a limited time to react because the dogs had heard this.

She couldn't save him but the man held her by the ankle, Clementine momentarily thought about kicking his face in but the man gave her a key before gesturing for her to leave.

He knew he was about to die and Clementine could only imagine what this key was.

The man tried to crawl away from where Clementine was hidden but he couldn't go far because the dogs found him.

The dogs didn't find him initially because they ran right up the stairs and didn't have the chance to explore other parts of the house.

The dogs ripped into him and he screamed in pain, his voice was loud and Clementine could only imagine what he was going through but she didn't have the time to feel sympathy for him.

She had to save the baby or this would be its fate.

Clementine was positioned away from them, she was positioned behind the dogs' blind spot.

She quickly tiptoed, trying her best to be quiet because she understood that even she might not be able to put down these dogs fast enough.

Clementine knew that she could try and put down the dogs now that they were distracted.

She didn't want to waste her bullets because she didn't know what threat lay ahead and she didn't want to need it and not have it.

Clementine realized why he gave her the key, the door was bolted shut and she understood why the key was given to her, it was to open the door.

But the worst thing that could happen, happened.

There was a creak, the effects of old wood that Clementine had unknowingly stepped on.

Like hounds, the dogs charged towards Clementine but luckily for her, she was closer to the door than the dogs were closer to her.

She ran there but the door wasn't locked, she was able to open it without the key but this got her questioning what the key was for.

Clementine shut the door behind her just in time as the dogs began jamming the door once again.

Clementine heaved a loud sigh of relief as she turned around but what she saw caused her to throw up the moment she entered.

"W-What is this!?"
