With each pawn dying, the hurricane of essence got bigger and bigger. The radius engulfed by it kept increasing, like it would devour the whole world.

The surrounding trees were swept into it, and boulders weighing thousands of tons were swept into it before being ground into dust.

Like a black hole, it kept on devouring anything nearby; not even light could escape. If not for its small size, maybe the entire world would disappear into it.

After reaching a certain size, it stopped increasing in size but started getting condensed in a spot; that's when the devouring became the strongest.

The material world was not affected by this primordial devouring; the wrecked surroundings remained the same as before, suggesting that something ethereal was being devoured. It might look like this devouring is not affecting the world now, but in the long run, the damage might be irrevocable.

Gales of wind surged, clearing away the clouds; the rays of the sun got distorted; and even the sun became blurry; only that black vortex hovered in the air, like the singularity that was present before the Big Bang.

Rays of dark purple lightning fell from the vortex, scorching and carving up the earth below. Everything touched by it disappeared without exception.

The dark vortex was slowly becoming transparent, like a mirror, but representing the eternal darkness in it.

The darkness inside got lighter, showing a silhouette inside and dark miasma revolving all around that entity, just like the celestial bodies around the sun.

Slowly, the silhouette got more and more solid, showing the shape of an adult human, but the darkness made it hard to see the figure's features.

"Woosh"

In a flash, the entity lying inside opened its eyes. The dark red eyes seemed to have seen the changes of the eras; seemingly, nothing would shock him. Dark red pupils swirling in a sea of white seemed to be capable of devouring the world.

With this small action, the land below the vortex completely disappeared; an intangible shockwave traveled far and wide, destroying everything in its path.

Slowly, the entity within the cosmic fetus moved, each movement bringing more and more destruction to the surroundings.

"Kaach"

With the sound of glass shattering, the vortex slowly opened, and the entity was now completely visible.

With a tall stature and physique that would shame any man, his brown hair had an otherworldly sheen, and his face seemed to be carved by God himself.

There was an aura of indomitability and indestructibility encompassing him; his face was youthful and seemingly full of vitality, betrayed by an archaic aura permeating him. These two contradictory auras might seem weird on anyone else, but they seemed to suit him, giving him an otherworldly charm.

With a smile on the man's lips, he waved his hand in the air.

"Woosh"

The transparent vortex that seemed like a gate to the underworld slowly disappeared, like it was erased out of existence.

Total stillness permeated the surroundings, representing the cacophony of destruction played here.

The young man smiled, indifferent to the surroundings, and raised his arms to touch his bare body, seemingly confirming that this body was real.

"Woosh"

The essence between heaven and earth answered his call, forming an opaque robe and covering him whole.

Jason raised his head and glanced around, aware of the presence of multiple wolves within several miles.

A bloodthirsty smile formed on his angelic face, the contradiction enhancing his charm even more.

Like a ghost, he disappeared on the spot, his every move seemingly full of grace. The fluidity of his actions made him appear to be floating.

He came to a halt, right in front of the Alpha, who had chewed his head before.

The Alpha's animalistic face showed an emotion that should have been impossible.

Jason, seeing the expression, was amused before rushing straight at the Alpha.
