Chapter 15: everyone thoughts

Nigel P.O.V

While going back to the hotel I was thinking 'I followed little Ace all day long with his new friends I really can't wait to tell this to Anthony and Martha I didn't know he could make friends so easily I always thought that since he didn't have much social interaction before he would be more of a loner but now I'm not as worried I also noticed how he looked at Alicia I think that he must be interested in her, of course, I won't tell this to Anthony because knowing him he will investigate her which will make little Ace angry of that I'm sure so better not tell him about it but Martha sure will love this crispy news also he finally admits that he had chosen New York from the very start well with how obvious he was to push his Uncle and Helena into a relationship since the start of this voyage I bet that by now Anthony must have guessed it too pretty sure Helena knew all along.

After arriving at the hotel I dropped little Ace at the entrance while I took the car to the parking lot before making my way toward the reception I would have gone directly to Anthony's room but not knowing what was going on or if he was alone I prefer making a call before barging in and seeing something I shouldn't, I asked the receptionist to call the room of Anthony before making my way there 

I Knocked on the door and waited 3 seconds I heard his voice 

-Yes come in!

-Mr.Smith how was your day? I asked.

This made him blush, well I'm guessing that not only Ace made great stride in his relationship today I thought giggling to myself

-Cough cough I had a great day thank you what about you? Also, can you call me Anthony Nigel?

-Of course Mr. Smith I called him again which made him cringe to my great pleasure! I also got some crispy news for you about little Ace, Do you want to hear them?

-Oh crispy news you say I'm all ears

So I did I told him about our day and how Ace made some friends I also told him that he had already chosen Columbia University way before this voyage I thought he would react more to this but as I had guessed he already knew it he was most inserted in Ace new friends, o course I told him that if he wanted to know he just had to ask Ace about it with everything I had to report done I took my leave to make a call to my wife, Martha would skin me alive if I wait after our voyage to tell her everything

Helena P.O.V

I waited in my room for Ace to come back I really needed to share my joy with him if he didn't push us with Martha because now that I talked about it to Anthony I discovered that he was also being teased and pushed toward me by her so they must have planned this together humph she will hear about me (of course to thank her) but Anthony doesn't need to know that(giggles)

I didn't have to wait that long before I heard a knock on my door since I had just come out of the shower and I was in my bathrobe i didn't want the personnel of this hotel to see me like this only family as this right i made my way toward the door to look through the peephole noticing that it was Ace I opened the door with a bright wide smile

of course, noticing my face Ace immediately guessed that the day had gone as planned so he smiled back at me and hugged me tightly saying 

-So do you want me to call you Aunty right now or after the wedding?

I knew this was coming but everything was so novel that it still made me blush but it didn't diminish the joy I was feeling I know he was teasing me but I still responded to him seriously

-Wait after the wedding and even after that, between us, I would prefer you stick with what you always called me. Aunty will only make it look like I'm old so just keep this for your Uncle I said with a wink which made him laugh really hard 

-So tell me everything now? he asked

I started talking about how the day went how his Uncle was so nervous about confessing to me that he stumbled every 2 sentences and how he finally succeeded after going on 1 knee to make his proposal he seemed like a new person because all shyness and nervousness was gone I could only see the love and resolve in his eyes. I also showed him my ring after this we made some small talk about his journey which made me overjoyed especially when I heard that he finally got friends after asking him everything I needed to know he took his leave to go tease his Uncle he said (giggles)

Anthony Smith P.O.V

Not even 2 minutes after Nigel's departure I again heard a knock on the door who was it if not my nephew I thought while a sigh escaped my control I knew he would tease me I'm pretty sure he just came back from Helena's room with a resigned mindset I told him to come in just seeing his smirking face I knew I was in for the ride but know I had munitions to fight back now, of course, I would still probably lose but it was worth a try

-So how was your day Uncle anything worth mentioning? asked Ace

-Stop this I know you already know just say what you have to say then go to sleep so we can visit the university tomorrow

-Well about this we won't go visit the school I do not want to spoil myself when I go there in September also yes I had already decided on this school before coming here all this voyage was just for you and Lena to have more time together as you probably had guessed I must say you sure took your time to take the final step you could have waited one more day I wouldn't have lost the bet with Martha well I guess its better that way, and the only thing I have to say is that I'm happy for the both of you and give me a nephew or niece asap with his ever-present smirk

-I knew it, for the school thing I mean, sigh and what is this thing about the bet also... thank you! I thought you would tease me more than this honestly

-I thought about it but I think that I've been enough of a tease throughout the time of these two weeks and also I'm too happy today for this! Anyway, prepare yourself I asked Nigel to arrange everything we leave tomorrow at noon I will to sleep now and congrats for today I really mean it I'm happy to see the people I love the most finally getting the love they deserve! Good night Uncle!

Derrick P.O.V

I was in my room exhausted after all we had done today I didn't think I would be this tired showing the city to my new friend I was not the type of guy who could make friends easily I tend to see the worst in people most of the time must be because of the life we had while growing up but I like Ace almost instantly he was funny like basketball and since he was going to Columbia University he must be smart and more important I could be more at ease concerning my sister at least there will be someone trustworthy with her there, I got scared when I saw how rich he was having a private driver and those cars he showed me ... men I'm still salivating only thinking about it, I thought he would look down on us for not going into a chic restaurant and also knowing where we lived but I didn't feel anything of this sort coming from him he really is not like how rich people are displayed from movie and TV

From the time we got home, I wanted to text him but I didn't want to seem too eager what if he thought I had no friends or that I really wanted to make friends with him because he is rich? My sister, of course, made fun of me when she saw me stressing over my phone and asked me what I was doing, of course, I acted like I didn't hear what she was saying and made my way toward my room I still had my phone in my hand still mulling over the problem that was not really a problem just me thinking into things too much like always when suddenly the notification sound of my phone made me fall out of my bed I had received a text from Ace which said

Sender: Ace Smith Receiver: Derrick Cook

-Thank you for everything you and your sister as done for me today i can't wait to come back here to spend more time with both of you Good night bro!

Earring the sound of me falling my sister came to check on me when she walked in she saw me with a wide smile looking at my phone seeing I was alright she left not before saying loud enough for me to hear 'WEIRDO' normally I would shout something back but I was too happy to do so I wrote back a text to Ace than close my phone and my eyes for a good night of sleep

Alicia P.O.V

My brother had been acting weird ever since we came back home I could understand it to a certain extent and I couldn't blame him because I was also feeling a little bit weird myself when my brother asked me at Rucker Park to meet the guy he was playing with I didn't think much of it but when I saw his eyes and also his... abs cough cough I was stunned silly I had never seen a man as handsome as him, of course, this was not why I was feeling weird its because through the day I realize he was much more than a beautiful face 

I discovered we were both artists as we talked I also found out that he was leaning more toward acting than music when I asked him why he still wanted to study music he said ''Music can heal the soul why wouldn't I want to learn more ways to do it'' that's when I start feeling butterflies in my stomach I couldn't wait to start school now going to university was already exciting but it was even more so now knowing he would also be there with me, of course, in front of my brother I act like nothing was amiss and he didn't need to know that it was because I was exchanging text with Ace and I told him to write to him that Ace wrote to Derrick this soon

I got back to my room lay down on my bed opened my messaging app and clicked on Ace's name to continue where we left off earlier

Alicia: Thank you! for writing to my brother he was overthinking things like always. 

Ace: no problem I was going to write to him anyway. 

Alicia: I still wanted to thank you! So you are leaving tomorrow already?

Ace: Yes but I'm thinking about coming back sooner than I had planned ;).

Alicia: Why?

Ace: I made 2 wonderful friends who will miss me a lot if I don't come back soon also I want to get used to this city and visit more of it and I have to make tacos for 2 gluttons who don't believe I'm a better cook than the food truck chef

Alicia: Haha I can see that mister as his pride wounded are you sure that's all the reasons?

Ace: Maybe there's more, who knows xD good night I need to take a shower before going to bed I'll text you tomorrow morning when I get on the plane alright?

Alicia: Mmm not cool I will make you spite everything out when you come back humph !!! :P Sleep well I will wait for your texts night-night!!!

Closing my phone I had the image of him taking a shower now damn Ace it's your fault if I don't sleep well tonight HUMPH!
