Chapter 4: Send back to home

Luke gazed intently at Seraphina Shangguan's well-proportioned figure and delicate features, pondering to himself:

"Should I seize this opportunity and make her mine?"

At that moment, Seraphina, seemingly aware of Luke's gaze, blushed even more and instinctively leaned against his shoulder, whispering softly:

"Luke, how about I take you home first, is that alright?" After Luke shared his address, Serephina instructed the driver to change course and head towards his house.

"Sounds great, cheers love," Luke replied with a hint of smugness.

Though Luke appeared nonchalant, he was secretly thrilled. After more than two decades of bachelorhood, he finally had the chance to find love!

Seraphina, on the other hand, looked at Luke with hopeful eyes, yearning for him to become her boyfriend, and perhaps her lifelong companion. Almost twenty years old, she was a top-tier heiress from Shanghai, studying business at Fudan University. Skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, she consistently ranked within the top five in her class. Her exceptional qualities made her a rare find. Despite numerous suitors from various backgrounds, she had never been in a relationship before. The feelings she had for Luke were a first.

After bidding Seraphina farewell, Luke stepped out of the Bentley and returned to his quaint villa. From the car, Seraphina whispered as she gazed at Luke's house, "I've heard that Luke's family made a modest fortune from investments, but he himself has over ten thousand in his account. And with so many hundred-dollar paper cash in his wallet, he must be a hidden tycoon, possibly wealthier than those on the rich list. Not to mention he's quite handsome, tall, and has a compatible personality. He's never been in a relationship, and I simply can't pass up such an innocent man." She smiled coyly at her own words.

Upon arriving home, Luke received a message from Seraphina:

"Made it home yet? From now on, let me know whenever you get home, okay? And we should go out more often."

Ecstatic, Luke realized the stunning heiress was genuinely interested in him. He burst into hearty laughter.

Living alone in the villa his parents had given him, Luke had access to millions in cash, allowing him to indulge in his passions. Previously, his strict upbringing had left him discontented, but now he enjoyed the freedom to spend time with friends or play video games at home. His parents no longer interfered in his life, save for the occasional visit.

At this moment, Luke received a message from his childhood friend and former middle school classmate, Kevin Li, who came from a similar background: "It's been a while since we last saw our middle school friends. I'm planning a gathering. Want to join?"

With nothing better to do, Luke decided to join his old friends for a night out.

An hour later, dressed casually in a simple outfit and Yezy shoes, Luke set off towards the gathering location - the Aegean Shopping Centre in Hongqiao Town.

As Luke boarded the packed subway, he grumbled, "Once I get a car, I'll never have to squeeze onto the subway again! This is unbearable!"

After enduring the crowded journey for 20 minutes, he finally arrived at the grand Aegean Shopping Centre. A thought crossed his mind: "What if I buy all these properties? My assets will be preserved, and I might even make a profit!"

However, before he could dwell on the idea, Luke hurried towards the seafood restaurant on the top floor where he reunited with his long-lost middle school friends.

As he entered the opulent seafood restaurant, Luke was greeted by the familiar faces of his middle school classmates. Their laughter and chatter filled the air, bringing back a flood of memories from their teenage years.

"So, what have you all been up to?" Luke asked, taking a seat among his old friends.

The conversation flowed effortlessly as they reminisced about their shared experiences, discussed their current lives, and exchanged amusing anecdotes. As the evening progressed, Luke found himself absorbed in the camaraderie and couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging.

At one point, Kevin nudged Luke and asked, "So, what's the story with that stunning girl you were seen with earlier?"

Feeling a slight blush creeping up his cheeks, Luke replied, "Her name is Seraphina Shangguan, and we just happened to run into each other. She's a remarkable girl, and it seems like we've hit it off."

His friends raised their eyebrows in surprise, impressed by Luke's newfound connection with the illustrious heiress.

As the night wore on, the friends reveled in each other's company, losing track of time. Luke couldn't help but feel grateful for the renewed connections and the potential budding romance with Seraphina. For the first time in his life, everything seemed to be falling into place.

And so, beneath the glittering lights of the bustling city, Luke took his first steps towards a future filled with promise, excitement, and perhaps even love.
