Chapter-3

"Amara at least let me explain first"

She just kept walking ignoring Liam's pleadings. His patience wore out, he grabbed her wrist and pulled her close. She tried to come out of his embrace but he just tighten his hold, securing her in his arms.

"I am not going to let you leave until you listen to my reasoning"

"I don't want to know anything, just leave me, everyone is watching, liam"

He ignored her and started explaining.

"I swear Ara, I was just trying to teach her a lesson and i was just doing that because she had planned t- "

He abruptly stopped, realizing his mistake. He was going to reveal what he heard the other day, when he was about to enter the class. he don't want to tell her this, it will upset her.

Amara sensed that he is hiding something and tried to trick him to tell the truth but he didn't budge. He even removed his hands from her waist, this made her frown. She tried her last option.

"I will forgive you if you tell me the truth"

Not seeing any changes in his resolve she further added,

"And i will spend this weekend with you too"

Listening this liam didn't even think about consequences and blurted out everything he heard that day. Brittany was going to seduce him, somehow and planned to insult Amara by exposing the fake pictures and messages of her with different boys. So, that day, during practice, he not only insulted her in front of everyone but deleted all of that stuff from her phone too.

He was apologizing for making her sad,  after hearing his explanation, she softened and told him how she is sorry to misunderstanding him.

Liam was relieved Amara didn't get angry for too long. Those few minutes of her not talking to him were felt like hours. Its not like he is lovesick or anything like that but maybe it is.

He just knows that Amara is important for him. Her smile, her laugh, her happiness, she herself, is what he desires. He never felt these emotions for anyone, the feeling of being complete when she is near him, is something he always crave for.

For him, Amara is not just a girl he likes. She is his whole world, from his childhood till now, he always tries to do everything and anything which can make her happy. He is always trying, experimenting beyond his limits to just see her smile.

Its been a whole day and Amara is still confused, what are those feelings? Jealousy? Why did she got so defensive?

All of these questions keep running in her mind. Its not like she feels anything for liam then why she feels so weird whenever that Brittany tries to come closer to him. For her liam is only her neighbor, who is her classmate too or you can call them friends too. Yeah! Just that. Then why? Its all messed up in her head and it started to give her headache too. So, she decided to ask her friends about this.

Its been a week and all of them were struggling between assignments, tests, projects, tons of homework, classes and the upcoming competition.

They all were worried for what is about to come. But Amara was struggling through one more tide, her feelings. After so much of doubts and debates, she still thinks that liam is nothing but a friend to her. Then why the heck his presence sooth her nerves, why his smile lights up her day.

"Amara stop day dreaming, teacher is calling your name."

Don't know about answers but her thoughts did gave her a new punishment.

"Amara"

"Hello, wake up"

"Hey! Why liam and Brittany are walking together?"

Amara's head darted up looking here and there, hearing laughter around her, she turned towards her friends.

"Ha ha, so funny guys"

"Are you still thinking about all of that?" Asked concerned looking Heather.

"You don't even have to think that much, you definitely likes him." Comments Pearl with a smug look.

Listening all of this Nicole just rolled her eyes,

"You all are losers, being single is the best." She said

Everyone gave her a wtf look.

Pearl placed a hand on her shoulder with a sympathetic look and said

"Its okay"

Then they started walking, leaving the confused looking Nicole.

~ Time skip~

At the backstage, minutes before their performance. Pearl looks like she saw a ghost.  They were standing there, chatting, waiting but something caught her eyes in the crowd and that's when the color drained from her face.

"Are you alright pearl?" Asked the worried looking scott.

"My parents are here"

Boys were confused but girls know what she is implying.

"Its okay, pearl. We are with you" nicole said.

"Now please welcome-

Heather turned towards the group,

"Its our call guys, we are in this together. Are you all ready?"

"Let's do this" everyone chores together  with confidence.

After performance ended, they get changed and decided to hang out at nearest mall instead of watching the competition.

As they reached there, scott grabbed Pearl's hand started to drag her towards whatever destination he decided.

"We will meet you at food court after 2 hrs."

Hearing '2hrs' Heather's expression turned sour, she was going to stop them but seth interrupted her by holding her hand.

"Let them be this time, you trust him after all. Don't you?"

He asked her with a knowing smile. Obviously she trust him but she still can be worried about them.

She keep staring at him then raised her hand to his eye level.

Seth's expression turned confused to wide eyed blushing when he saw what she is trying to say. He is still holding her hand.

Heather's heart was beating so loud that it can be heard from miles away at least she thought that it can be heard.

But her expression were cool and calm.

That's the other thing that she is screaming in her mind and is trying to calm down at the same time.

He left her hand and looked around them. Their friends left him to fend for himself in front of the famous devil.

"I appreciate that you guys left those soon-to-be love birds alone but what are we gonna do now?" Asked yen.

Not getting any reply, he turned back and noticed that no one was there except an awkward looking Nicole.

"Why god why? Why you decided to punish me today" he groaned.

Nicole frowned at his behavior and slipped away from there silently, muttering,  " I don't know him" to the people, who were glaring at Yen.

When he realized that Nicole is not there anymore, he started to search for him. He was determined to find her until a shop with cool looking games catch his attention.  He forgets what the "devil" would do to him when she is going to know that he lost one of her friend.
