We all were stunned. None of us noticed him disappearing from the set. Even Rin looked surprised.
'Oppa, when did you...'
'Does it matter who gets them?' Cheng asked. 'What matters is that you need to wear them. Here, put them on.'
He handed Rin the shoes. Rin shot a nasty glare at Mia before wearing the shoes.
'Okay,' Director Im said. 'Let's all go back to our places.'
The staff backed down and the director went back to his seat. Cheng and Rin were in front of the camera.
'Rolling. Camera. Action!'
Cheng grabbed Rin's arm and twirled her. Rin lifted her leg to move-
CRASH!
Rin tumbled hard on to the ground.
'
AHHH!' she screamed as she went crashing down. We all leapt forward to gather around her. Her foot was in pain and she was crying.
'My foot!' she cried. 'It hurts.'
'Serves you right,' Deen muttered.
'Deen be quiet,' Mia scolded. Deen shut his mouth under his mother's stern gaze. Rin wailed on. I examined her right foot. It was completely twisted. The floor wasn't slippery so it was unlikely that she slipped.
'How did you fall?' I asked.
'I don't know,' she whined. 'My foot got stuck in something.'
I frowned and picked up her shoe, which was lying near her foot. A chewing gum was stuck to it.
'Someone threw a gum in here!' Mina noona exclaimed.
'Who would do that?' Director Im demanded. 'Who threw this in here?'
'Might have been people who used this set before us,' Se-Ah noona said. 'Does it matter? Take her to the hospital. She needs a doctor.'
'Here let me pick you up,' Mia said, kneeling down to grab Rin's arm.
'Get away from me you foreigner!' Rin shouted, waving her off. She turned to Cheng.
'Oppa, help me up,' she said in a helpless tone. Behind her, Deen imitated her. I stifled a laughter.
'Sure sweety,' Cheng said, grabbing her by the arm. Rin was struggling to get up when Cheng's hand slipped and she fell again.
'Ow!' she cried. 'That hurts!'
'Sorry pumpkin,' Cheng sweetly. 'You were a bit too heavy for me. I am extremely delicate you see.'
No we don't, I thought. Cheng was well built. No one fell for that lie. But we didn't care.
'Throw her on the floor again!' Deen said gleefully. Mia shushed him. Cheng winked at him. I sighed and picked up Rin.
'Thank you oppa,' Rin said. I ignored her and carried her to the nearest van.
