Star Wars: A Single Wish

I don't own Star Wars. Disney owns Star Wars. This Fanfiction is something I have played around with for a very long time. In my head at least and I want to write some stuff about star wars. This is a wish fulfillment and I don't expect that to get through some of the thick skulls of readers. I won't be updating this regularly, and I wont be giving it a schedule. It's just something I'll write and update when I feel like it. This story isn't set in the skywalker saga, I don't want to get within a light year of that radioactive waste dump. While the original trilogy, clone wars, and mandolorian were excellent that's where the list ends. I don't want people writing reviews for this story, but I won't say you cant. I just want people to read a star wars fanfiction that is better then most out there. I wont lie I'm inspired by A New Player In The Force. However, my story wont be anything like that fanfiction though I really suggest you people read it. Its actually written by an educated teacher whos fighting leukemia. I won't bore you guys with anymore talk so I'll get right into the synopsis now. ------------------- A young boy, no older then 15 lies dying in his hospital bed. The reason he is here is because of the illness he inherited from his mother. He doesn't resent anything about his mother or what he got from her, only that his death be as quick. Before he rested his diseased body on this bed, he would comfort his mother while he could still be considered healthy. His mother passed fast compared to the rate he is going. The Opal family dies with him, and nothing can stop that. One of the things the two did was watch movies and T.V. shows, and their favorite was everything star wars. With Nathan Opal on his last day he is happy that his painful torment shall end. This is where the story begins.

Pushing Towards The Caves of Ilum

~~~(POV: Nathan Opal)~~~
~~~(Heading to The Caves of Ilum, Planet Ilum)~~~

The view distance on Ilum is just as horrible as I remember it being. You can't see beyond 20 feet in front of you. The Force is guiding me to my destination, and that's the only reason I know where I'm going. I sense the Republic base at the location I'm heading, and they know I'm coming. The Jedi stationed there feel me coming. I feel their emotions that are leaking out.

Mostly fear, and I don't blame them. I've gained a bad reputation over the years, and the only thing I regret is the death of my parents. "I miss you... My Sweet Amor..." There is a soft echo in my head... And not... It's like it's outside and inside my head all at once. I stop in my tracks, and I try to sense where this voice is coming from...

I've never heard the name Amor before, and that feminine voice is always the same when I hear it. It's familiar but not enough for me to know anything about it. My attention is refocused on my task, and I continue pushing through the blasting winds and sharp snow. The Force is protecting me from the environment. This weather is getting old, real fast.

Fighting over Ilum shouldn't be a priority for the Sith. The only significance this place holds is to the Jedi. That and all the naturally forming Kyber Crystals. It makes me wonder why the Sith are here in the first place... "Old Jedi temples and ruins are all that's left on Ilum... Maybe they're after something in of those locations..." It's the best option why they're here.

It's pretty obvious why the Jedi are here. Ilum is special to the Jedi, and they'll defend it from the Sith no matter what, and being so passionate about this place is against their code. I'm getting closer to the base. It should be coming into view in the next few minutes. I can sense that they've manned all the defense and are waiting for me. There are Jedi waiting for me outside.

Guarding the main entrance. The leader wants to speak to me, and he can feel that I'm sensing his intentions and thoughts. The snowstorm is getting heavier as I get closer to the base and as the final distance comes to an end. I see the silhouette of a structure against a mountain. There are figures standing in the snow.

I've arrived at the base, and as the troops inside the base lay their eyes on me, I feel their fear. "Why have you come to this place, Nathan Opal. Your presence on Ilum is a mystery, given your declaration to take on the Empire all on your own." His intentions aren't hostile in any way, and I can sense that he genuinely doesn't want to fight me.

Getting into those caves is my only objective here, and perhaps if he's wise, he doesn't have to risk the lives of everyone here. "I'm here to journey into the caves once again. If you wish to stand in the way of that, then so be it." This is his only warning, and he knows that. I can feel the conflict within him, and he's leaning towards letting me pass to spare hundreds of lives.

His fellow Jedi, on the other hand, don't feel the same as he does. They all ignite their lightsaber in the blasting snow. The only thing any of us can see is the glows of blue and green blades. The leader feels doom at this action and steels himself for combat. He ignites his own purple lightsaber. I hold out my hand, and my lightsaber hilt flies into my hand.

Holding it out to my side, the blade ignites, and the yellow hiss that's exclusive to my Kyber Crystal are heard. The storm rages even harder, and even the blades from our weapons are getting blurred a bit. "It's been a long time since I've had to fight in such a brutal environment." They all get into their stances, ready to fight.

I could easily kill them using The Force, but I use every chance I get to practice real lightsaber combat with my life on the line. These conditions just make it all the more challenging for me. I'm getting into those caves, and I'm getting some answers.
