[Third Person's PoV]
While Dr. Connors was overlooking samples on a microscope and jotting down his observations, Norman Osborn burst through the door with an annoyed expression plastered on his face.
Norman's impatience flared into a fiery demand as he glared at Dr. Connors. "How much longer do I have to wait for results?" he spat out.
Dr. Connors halted, feeling the weight of Norman's intense stare, and carefully responded, "Sir, obtaining accurate results demands time. Given our current progress, I'd estimate approximately 6 months."
"Unacceptable!" Norman's voice thundered with impatience. "Cut it down to one month. If not, consider your employment terminated. I refuse to witness the squandering of the company's resources without tangible outcomes. Comply or consider yourself gone."
As soon as Norman heard himself say this his expression went from annoyance to rage all in the span of a second.
'GOD DAMMIT, I sounded just like that asshole. Bastards treating me like subordinate and telling what to do'
When Dr. Connors saw Norman's expression he grew uneasy thinking he was mad at him "But sir,... it's impossible, we have to get it approved for testing, and human subjects and it's not even close to be being complete"
Norman who already had his back turned didn't even respond to that he simply yelled out "1 month" and slammed the door shut.
Dr. Connors had his only hand over his face as he let out a long and heavy sigh "What am I going to do" he muttered while leaning his only elbow on the table.
As he looked down at his table and working section he saw the notes of what he was working on, as well as all the sidenotes.
His were then drawn on one word "Axolotl"
After looking at it for a short while he let out another sigh and shook his head "I'll leave it as a last resort"
…
One week later…
Peter is seen sitting on his chair in front of a big screen monitor inside his secret hideout.
"Arnny it's been a week, tell me how many people have downloaded all of our apps and how much money we have made."
"Calculation…
Instagram: 500,000 downloads, Revenue: Pending
Angry Birds: 14,000 downloads, Revenue: $500
Candy Crush: 100,000 downloads, Revenue: $5,100
Floppy Bird: 80,000 downloads, Revenue: Pending
Subway Surfer: 70,000 downloads, Revenue: $3,000"
Peter, seeing this sighed "I mean can't really complain it's only been a week, so there aren't a lot of people paying for advertisements. Making close to 10,000 in just a week is a lot objectively speaking"
Peter then started spinning around in his chair thinking about what to do… "Arnny, what's the status on our Sandman, there hasn't been any moves with him since our first encounter with him"
"Scanning all available footage… After escaping from your encounter with him, the first thing he did was use the money for his daughter's treatment, so for the past week he mostly visits his daughter at the hospital.
Apart from that he mostly lives in his rented apartment. He has shown no signs so far of doing any criminal activities"
"Just keep me informed, if he starts doing anything suspicious, cause i didn't just build a powerful vacuum "The Gawk Gawk 3000" to capture him for nothing"
"... That is still a terrible name, even Mo- Ms. Stacy start beating you with a stick when she heard of it and started calling you a pervert"
Peter raised a brow at Arnny's slip up, 'Did she almost call Gwen mom/mother… That's adorable'
After a few seconds of awkward silence Arnny decided to say "Father… can I ask you a question"
"Yeeesss?" Peter replied, dragging out the response.
"Why aren't you going after him? We know his current location and Where he is going, so why not stop him before he does anything else?"
Peter, hearing this, sighed and put on a weary expression "The answer is quite simple, it's because of his daughter, She is still recovering from her surgery.
What if I go and capture her father and it makes her unwell or something, I would then feel quite responsible.
So I'm giving him one more chance… even though I say that, I know he's going to go steal something again later on, but by that time it would be because of his greed and not because of his responsibility as a father."
"I understand Father," Arnny says, even though she isn't alive one could just tell she was nodding her head by the tone of her voice.
"Hey Arnny what is Gwen currently up to?" Peter asked bored if he doesn't find anything to do in the next minute he would probably just go and start superhero-ing again.
"She is currently out shopping with Ms. Watson and Ms. Hardy"
"Urghhh, I can't even call Harry, ever since his date with Liz went without a hitch he spends most of the time after school with her"
Pete then stood up and grabbed his mask that was on the table and put it on and left the hideout.
And went on swinging towards the city of New York, while swinging Peter with a smirk said "Arnny put on JJJ's radio show to give me some motivation"
As Spider-Man swung through the cityscape, executing graceful arcs and dazzling acrobatics between skyscrapers. His fluid movements matched the rhythm of the city, a ballet in the air.
In his high-tech suit, Spider-Man listened to J. Jonah Jameson's radio show blasting through his mask's HUD. JJJ's distinct voice echoed, still harping on Spider-Man's and Ghost-Spider's failure to capture Sandman a week earlier. "I mean, really, folks, if we can't trust Spider-Man and Ghost-spider to catch a common criminal like the Sandman as people are dubbing him, how can we entrust our safety to them? It's a disgrace!"
Despite the criticism, Spider-Man continued his aerial maneuvers, flipping effortlessly from building to building. He'd been scanning the city, looking for any signs of disturbance in the city, whether they were petty criminals or a brand new super powered villain that decided to pop up.
While soaring through the sky, Spider-Man couldn't help but hear JJJ's relentless tirade. "Listen to this, folks! Spider-Man nor Ghost-spider could even hold onto Sandman! What kind of heroes does that make them? We need a real protector, not some masked menace!"
Peter, despite listening to JJJ's harsh words kept smirking to himself, 'As people from my time would say, "Haters are my motivators", I can see why people listen to this, it's quite entertaining' Peter thought while web zipping across buildings.
Ignoring the relentless commentary, Spider-Man propelled himself higher, executing a series of intricate spins and twists mid-air, showcasing his agility and finesse. The wind rushed past him as he swung with precision, each movement a testament to his dedication to the city.
Amidst the radio show's condemnation, Spider-Man noticed a commotion in a distant alley. Without hesitation, he changed course, hurtling toward the disturbance. There, he found a group of civilians, panicked and cornered by a small gang of petty criminals.
Without wasting a moment, Spider-Man swooped in, swiftly disarming the thugs and ensuring the safety of the civilians. As the police arrived to take the criminals into custody, Spider-Man disappeared into the sky swinging away, back into the rhythmic motion of swinging through the city.
Though JJJ's voice continued to blare in his ears, Spider-Man remained resolute. His duty was to protect the innocent, regardless of the relentless criticism. As he swung into the sky, he knew that the true measure of a hero was in actions, not the opinions of one man.
