Snake Eyes and Black Widow

This is a story of Snake Eyes (GI-Joe) being a operative in the fantastic world of the MCU. Of course, as this is introducing a character from an entirely different universe this story will be an AU. Without further ado, please take a dive through the eyes of Snake. Disclaimer all rights and permissions stay with the original writers and creators. This fan-fic is just to take a spin on what it would be like to have one of my favorite characters in the MCU.

Chapter 31: The Final Confrontation

The atmosphere in the command center seemed to tighten as Natasha locked eyes with the Overseer. Everything she had fought for—the sleepless nights, the battles, the sacrifices—had led to this moment. The enhanced soldiers, the web of manipulation, the hidden facilities—all of it had been orchestrated by this man, and now it was time to bring it all crashing down.

The Overseer stood at the far end of the room, calm and composed despite the chaos unfolding around him. His guards were already on the floor, taken down by Natasha's team, but the Overseer showed no sign of fear. His cold, calculating gaze never wavered, and that unnerved her more than any physical threat.

"Romanoff," the Overseer said again, his voice smooth and measured. "You've come a long way, but you're still too late. The future is already in motion. Everything I've built, everything you've tried to destroy—it's unstoppable now."

Natasha's heart pounded, but she remained outwardly calm. She had heard variations of this speech before from other adversaries. They always thought they were invincible, that their plans were beyond anyone's reach. But she had made a career of proving people like him wrong.

"I've heard that before," Natasha said, her voice cold. "And every time, it ends the same way. You lose."

The Overseer's smile was chilling, and he took a few steps toward her. "You're different from the others, Romanoff. You understand control, manipulation, and power in a way most don't. That's why I respect you. But it's also why you'll never win. You're fighting against the very future you helped shape."

Natasha's brow furrowed slightly. The Overseer always played mind games, twisting words, trying to sow doubt. But Natasha wasn't going to let him get inside her head. She had learned long ago how to shut out that kind of manipulation.

"You're not as clever as you think," she shot back, advancing slowly, her weapon trained on him. "Your 'future' ends here."

The Overseer's gaze flickered to the control console behind Natasha, where the core systems hummed quietly. "You think destroying this facility will stop me? Even if you shut it down, the enhanced soldiers are already in place. They will be deployed, and there's nothing you can do to stop it."

Natasha didn't waver. "Maybe. But I'll make sure you're not around to see it."

Before the Overseer could respond, Natasha lunged, closing the distance between them in an instant. She struck with lightning-fast precision, aiming to disable him quickly. The Overseer reacted just as swiftly, deflecting her first blow and stepping back, his expression remaining calm despite the attack.

Natasha pressed forward, her movements sharp and relentless. She had no time for drawn-out fights—this needed to end now. She unleashed a series of strikes, aiming for his weak points, but the Overseer was surprisingly quick, countering her attacks with a fluid grace that betrayed his cold demeanor.

"Impressive," the Overseer muttered as he blocked another strike. "But you can't win this by brute force alone."

Natasha said nothing, her focus entirely on the fight. She didn't need to beat him with brute force—she needed to outsmart him. He was skilled, but Natasha had spent her entire life training to be faster, more precise, and more ruthless than her enemies.

She ducked under one of his counterattacks, spinning around and delivering a sharp kick to his side. The Overseer staggered, clearly unprepared for the sheer force behind her strike. Natasha didn't hesitate—she moved in for the finishing blow.

But just as she was about to deliver the final strike, the Overseer reached into his coat and activated a small device. The air around them crackled with energy, and Natasha's instincts screamed that something was wrong.

In an instant, the room's lighting shifted, and the entire facility hummed with newfound power. The consoles around them lit up, and Natasha realized with horror what had just happened.

"You didn't think I came unprepared, did you?" the Overseer said, his voice dripping with smug satisfaction. "This facility was never just a control center. It's the key to unlocking the enhanced soldiers. Now that you've triggered the shutdown sequence, it's activating the soldiers remotely."

Natasha's breath caught in her throat as she glanced at the monitors. The enhanced soldiers—those that had been lying dormant across the other facilities—were beginning to activate. Red lights flashed on the screens, indicating that the soldiers were being deployed, one by one.

"You've made it easier for me," the Overseer continued, his eyes gleaming with triumph. "All of your efforts, all of your destruction—it was part of the plan. I've been waiting for you to arrive. Now, the world will witness the power of my enhanced army, and you will have no choice but to watch."

Natasha's mind raced as she processed the situation. This was worse than she had imagined. The Overseer had planned this, knowing she would come for him, knowing that her attempts to shut down his network would trigger the very thing she had been trying to prevent.

But there was still a way out. There had to be.

"You underestimated me," Natasha said through gritted teeth, her mind already formulating a new plan. "You think this is over, but it's not. I don't lose."

Without waiting for a response, she darted toward the nearest console, ignoring the Overseer's taunts as she accessed the core systems. She didn't have much time—if she could override the activation, she could stop the soldiers before they were fully deployed. But the system was complex, and every second counted.

"Stark!" Natasha shouted into her comms, her fingers flying over the keyboard. "I need you now. The soldiers are activating!"

"I'm on it!" Stark replied, his voice tense. "I'm hacking into the system from my end. Keep the connection open!"

Natasha worked furiously, bypassing layers of encryption and security protocols. The Overseer watched her from the far side of the room, his expression cold and calculating. He believed he had already won, but Natasha wasn't giving up. She had faced impossible odds before, and she had always found a way to win.

"You're wasting your time," the Overseer said, his voice echoing through the room. "The soldiers are already being deployed. Nothing you do here can change that."

Natasha didn't respond. Her focus was on the screen in front of her, where the activation sequence continued to play out. The enhanced soldiers were waking up, but she could see the override commands buried deep within the system. If she could just reach them in time...

"Stark, I've found the override," Natasha said, her heart racing. "But I need you to disable the failsafe. If I trigger it now, it'll set off the entire system."

"I'm on it," Stark replied, his voice steady despite the pressure. "Hold tight, just a few more seconds."

Natasha's hands hovered over the keys, ready to initiate the override as soon as Stark gave her the signal. The tension in the room was suffocating, every second feeling like an eternity.

Finally, Stark's voice came through. "You're clear. Do it."

Without hesitation, Natasha entered the command. The screen flashed red for a moment, and then the activation sequence froze. The lights dimmed, and the facility fell silent.

The enhanced soldiers had been stopped.

Natasha exhaled, her shoulders relaxing for the briefest moment. She had done it. The Overseer's army had been neutralized.

But the fight wasn't over.

She turned toward the Overseer, who stood motionless, his expression darkening as he realized what had just happened. His carefully laid plans, his vision for the future—it was all crumbling before him.

"You've lost," Natasha said, her voice calm but firm.

The Overseer's eyes narrowed, and for the first time, Natasha saw real anger behind his cold facade. "This isn't over," he growled, his voice low and dangerous. "I won't be defeated by the likes of you."

Natasha raised her weapon, her gaze steady. "It's over."

And with that, she moved in to finish what she had started.
