Town of Zoloriv

Vicar reached the town of Zoloriv, his mana was completely exhausted from using the Law of Time and creating a pocket dimension. Vicar thought to himself "The only problem with the law of time is that it takes too much mana and there isn't a way to control the law of time outside my body. The system is there a way I can make the law of time for combat?"

The system answered, "Yes if you can have access to more than 200,000 mana you can control it in short bursts for combat and a little bit outside your body."

Vicar noted this in his head for later and walked into the gates of Zoloriv, it was usually relatively small with the highest population being in the Town Square, but right now the Town Square was filled with people.

Vicar was curious about what was going on and walked towards the crowd and heard the voice of a young man "Get in a line if you are a mage or knight come here and sign up for the Cloud Reach Royal Academy, or Cloud Reach Academy as it is known throughout the entire kingdom. The Orb Tester here will test your affinity with Mana or Battle Power."

Vicar was interested in the world an knew joining the Royal Academy was a good way to gauge his strength in comparison to others in this world, he kept the words of the system in his mind, there are always people more powerful than you.

Of course, Vicar didn't know he was one of the most powerful beings in the entire kingdom but he will find that out later.

After a while, it was finally his turn, during the time he waited he noticed that mages orbs glowed a blue color while knights orbs glowed a red color. Vicar touched his palm on the orb and he felt a pull from the orb as it pinched off a little of his mana and battle power, the orb started glowing a bright Red and Blue causing everyone to gasp.

The young man directing the recruitment jumped with excitement and shouted: "BATTLE MAGE! *coughs* Welcome, what is your name?"

"My name is Vicar Tempest."

"Interesting name, my name is Marcus Izahl, we are very happy to have a Battle Mage join our academy, please have a seat next to me."

Marcus directed a servant behind him and the servant brought a chair. In the MMO game Vicar used to play, Battle Mage classes were extremely rare and it is the same in this world, battle mages were accepted anywhere without intense testing because all of them are certain to become powerful in the future.

Of course, Vicar was already stronger than everyone currently but he is keeping that hidden. The only thing that interested Vicar currently was he felt a person staring at him in the distance and that person tried to peak into his mind.

Vicar pushed that power back and looked directly at the spy, with a creepy smirk. The spy was terrified and ran away, Vicar didn't capture him because he wanted to see what would happen next, Vicar was pretty confident with facing any enemy right now.

Everyone one else was oblivious to the confrontation and most of the people signing up looked at him with a hint of jealousy.

The line was finished testing, it was a 1:3 ratio of mages to knights in the crowd which was pretty average in Marcus's opinion. But the prized possession he brought back was Vicar Tempest, a battle mage. He was excited to go back to the academy when he heard a shout from the crowd.

"VICAR TEMPEST I CHALLENGE YOU!"

The crowd was shocked to hear someone challenging a battle mage and when they saw who it was they knew why, this person was Ethan Irius, Ethan is a bloodline mage. A bloodline mage is one who is perfectly merged with a bloodline of a magical beast, unlike Mutants who are a crossbreed between a human and animal.

Ethan has a Blight Elf Bloodline and was supposed to be the star of the recruitment, but his thunder was stolen by a never before seen Battle Mage and this enraged him, Ethan guessed that Vicar hadn't gained much power due to his young appearance and challenged him.

Vicar's who previously showed no emotion smirked with disdain causing Ethan's blood to boil even more than before. The crowd spread into a circle surrounding Vicar and Ethan who were about to fight.

Ethan unleashed his bloodline with a shout and a white aura surrounded him. Mana started to flow out of his hand as he shouted "BLIGHTED MOON ORB!"

A white orb shot out of his hand with a huge amount of force and struck Vicar. The crowd was slightly disappointed and one of them said: "I thought Battle Mages were powerful, I can't believe he was defeated so easily by Ethan."

Others were about to voice the same opinion when they saw a shadow peak from the dust, Vicar's body appeared from the dust and Ethan was shocked, the full force of his strongest attack didn't even leave a scratch. Ethan started sweating, he shouted, "STAY BACK!" Even though Vicar wasn't even moving, which shocked the crowd.

Ethan spammed every spell he had Blighted Moon Orb, Emperor Death Beam, Fireball, and Lightning Ball. All which didn't leave a scratch on Vicar.
