Slaughterer's Ode To The Blade

A world of turmoil. This is the world of the great swordsmen. As the countries cross their blades to show their dominance in power, Their need for resources, Their want for more land, And the taste of freedom, The common people suffer. As they get swept by the war, their loved ones died, Their homes destroyed and their wills crushed by the reality that they can never avenge their suffering as long as they are the weakest, so long as they are kind and so long as they do not have the courage to stand up against their own fate! Noya Eiji is born in such a world. As a war orphan, he is picked up by one of the kindoms and is wondering over life on what to do and what to be, trying to survive day by day not wanting to be part of any of the conflicts between kingdoms, Because he still remembers what his mother's last words were " Be good boy who survives rather than become strong and be drowned by pain, suffering and darkness of the world!" ---- AN : This novel's MC is more on the passive side and while the MC is a bit OP, he wont be OP to the point of just destroying anybody, you might find the story to be boring so it totally fine to not like it, Although I hope otherwise. And also this image is not mine, I saw it on google, its from SOFAN COMICS in Pinterest.

Ch.59 Yami Gautam

"From now on, you three are a squad!

And you have to call me your captain! After this half a year training, Depending on each of you guys' performance in the training, I may have to choose someone from you three as the leader of your squad or if all of you guys' did actually really great then you can talk yo each other about that, okay?"

They nodded.

"First up, the rules... Well... There are actually just few rules in this department, but the rule number one would be, to never ever betray this department!"

Yami Gautam said his last words with seriousness, which made the three nod their heads vigorously.

"As for the second one, it should be to never divulge any information regarding the mission that you are undergoing, or intels of this department, regardless of who, unless they are the Department Commanders, the Shimins, or the king!"

Eiji suddenly raised his hand.

"Huh?! What is it Eiji?!"

"What about my master?! He told me about this department though?!"

"Oh that? Well, of course that's fine, sir Muri is from this department!

Besides, this rule also doesn't apply with the members of this department, we have to have a tacit understanding in each squads of this department, so as to not compromise each others mission!"

Eiji nodded his head.

"As for the third rule.. well, it is a bit of a flexible rule, that is.. The mission should be prioritize, but if the intel of the target is wrong or some unforseen circumstances happen it could be abandoned, but! But! Only when the situation really is unsalvageable does it apply!"

"Sir! What situations would that be?!"

Yami Marco was the who asked.

"Well.. that would also be one of the things that I will be teaching you in the next few months! So no reason to think too much about it now!"

Marco nodded as did Eiji.

Akai looked like he knew about the rules though, as he did not have any reactions but he still listened.

"Well.. those are the general rules of the department!

For the other, more intricate rules.. I myself find them a bit hard to understand and I am Still not familiar with most of them, but don't worry, you will, or more like we will be taught of them by the commander or the vice commanders of the department as long as they are not busy, we can go ahead and ask them!"

"Hmm.. I guess for now that would be all, I will tell you the rest of the technical rules as we come along these days, but tomorrow, we will start training and I will be teaching you the basic techniques that you will have to learn which is essential for this department!

Any questions?! Well if you have questions ask tomorrow! I'm hungry! Hahah let's go eat now as a celebration!"

Akai and Eiji looked at him perplexed while Marco covered his face with his palm.

Seems like Yami Gautam has always has this happy go lucky attitude with him from the start.

The four of them walked out back to the dark hallway exiting out the public library.

"Well.... Where should we eat?! The time should be about 1 p.m. so there shouldn't be a lot of people in the restaurants this time!"

"I know some place where there's good grilled fish!"

Marco enthusiastically said.

"Oohh!! I think I know where that place is! Lets go!"

Gautam was happy about the suggestion and just walked on without consulting Eiji and Akai.

Eiji shrugged and looked at Akai.

Akai also didn't care and just followed.

The three of them talked about themselves with Gautam also talking a bit about himself.

They didn't talk about the department or any thing with regards to that, that was a taboo.

After walking a bit, they arrived at a small restaurant.

When they entered, there was no one, or more like the waiters were cleaning the tables.

The rush hour just finished and they arrived just in time to eat without waiting.

The waiter, happily addressed them and they ordered their food.

As growing boys, they ate a lot, and with a grown man with them, they didn't talk while eating but rather ate till there was nothing left in the tables.

After ordering a few more food, and with Gautam paying, they said their goodbyes as they headed back to their respective homes.
