[An event will be randomly selected upon the start of the game. There will be conditions that must be met in order to successfully complete through each event.]
As Azrael spoke, there were cute cartoon animations on screen to help people understand the game better.
The animation depicted something that was fun and happy, a stark contrast to the reality of the game. It was like some sick joke he played to mock the players.
[Once you completed an event, a reward will be given based on how well you perform, so be sure that you all give it your best shot!
Now, some of you may be wondering: why can't I use my magic? The Creator is just and fair, so any magic that you have from your previous world are nullified to even out the playing field.]
There were faint grumblings from some in the crowd. Those people were definitely not happy with this outcome at all.
'The fuck? Magic?' Batu thought to himself in shock. 'You're telling me some people can use magic here?'
As much as he was shocked, he was jealous as well. Batu also wanted to use magic. Lucky bastards.
[Players, do not worry. Before the game begins, you will be judged before The Creator, and he will determine which power is most suited for you!]
"Man, this is some bullshit," Chin whispered to Batu. "I ain't even gotten married yet, now I gotta play some game made by a psychopath?"
Batu couldn't help but cry inside. Chin was worried about marriage, but Batu still haven't finished watching some animes. It truly was something to weep for.
[Before we begin, I want everyone to open up their status window. It will tell you the basic information that you need to know.]
Now, that got Batu questioning. A Status Window? Like the ones in RPGs? How would that actually work?
"H-how do we do that?" someone nervously asked.
[Just imagine it. It's not that hard.]
Following Azrael's command, Batu imagined a small screen in front of him. In an instant, a blue screen appeared in front of his face.
'Damn, it's actually real,' Batu quickly read the status information.

This status window was much more basic than he had expected. There weren't even stats like strength or agility, whatsoever. His eyes focused on the Skills tab.
'Do we win skills if we complete events?' Batu thought. There were so many questions that he had.
[It looks like most of you have gotten the gist of it. The system will tell you all the things you only need to know. Besides, you will naturally figure out more as the game progresses.
Well, would you look at the time! I'd given you all the things you need to know, so I believe it's finally time for the game to begin!
I wish you all the best of luck, and more importantly, have fun!
Adios!]
As the holographic screen disappeared, a glowing, white light enveloped everyone on the platform, shocking everyone.
Batu looked down at his hands that were slowly fading away. Looks like the game was starting already. He was scared. He didn't know what will happen next. He didn't want to die yet.
"Looks like I'll be seeing you two on the other side, my fellow players," Jack gave Chin and Batu one last smile before he disappeared into a thin white ray of light.
"Argh! Once I beat this stupid game, I'll personally visit this Azrael guy and give em an old fashion beatdown!" Chin waved his fist wildly in the air before he disappeared just like Jack.
One-by-one, the players disappeared from the platform, and Batu soon found his vision to be blocked by a bright light. Next thing he knew, Batu was floating in the middle of a black void.
He looked around, but all that he could see was darkness. It was bone-chilling eerie.
"Hello?" Batu called out to the void. "Anybody there?"
Only silence greeted him back. Soon, a blue orb manifested right above Batu. It was flame-like. Then, the orb slowly descended onto him as it emitted a faint azure light.
At first, Batu was frightened by it. Scared of what it might do to him. Then, he felt a warm sensation as the orb made contact with his body. He wasn't expecting this; To be honest, Batu thought it would be much more-
"ARRGGH!" Batu cried out in pain as the warm sensation suddenly burned hot like a raging fire. It felt like he was being cooked from the inside out.
A strange surge of energy sent waves throughout his body as if it was molding him, reshaping him into a new being. Then it was gone. Like it wasn't even there in the first place.
[New class unlocked!]
"Fuck..." his breath grew haggard while sweat dripped down from his forehead. It had been the most painful thing he had ever experienced in his entire life.
However, Batu did not have time to react as the black void around him disappeared. Then shrill screams filled his ears, and Batu hastily looked around at his new environment.
It was a city of stone, built from the age of monarchy and kingdoms. The fires burned tall as thick smoke blotted out the night sky in a veil of sin. The kingdom was in shambles as houses burned to the ground.
Batu felt the heat radiating from the burning houses and smelled the suffocating smoke lingering in the air.
"What the hell is going on here?"

"Please! Someone help me!" a girl cried out.
She was cornered into a wall by a demon with arms much longer than its body. Her teary eyes quickly turned to Batu, and she called out to him desperately, "H-help me, please!"
Batu stood there, staring at the demon with eyes wide with fear. His heart was beating a mile a minute.
Shit. What was he supposed to do? That thing would definitely kill him instantly. He looked back at the girl. Her pleading eyes. No, there was no way he could save her. He was just a loser otaku, not some superhero.
Gritting his teeth, Batu quickly turned tail and ran as fast as he could.
"No, wait!" her desperation fell on deaf ears, and she was left there to die. She screamed in agony as the demon began to rip her apart.
Batu didn't look back.
