Chapter 23: Class Rep and Cafeteria incident!

Next-Day.....

Everything returned to normal. NOT!

For some reason, there were tons of reporters standing at the entrance of my school. They stopped me and started to send out volleys of questions about All Might and his relationship with UA. Luckily I managed to escape thanks to Body Flicker Jutsu and safely entered the school grounds.

I met up with Mina and Ochako they also looked pretty ragged from all the reporters. Thankfully, they managed to regain their energy and together we walked toward our classroom.

"Hello, Uchiha-san!"

"Uchiha-san how are you doing?"

"Good Morning Uchiha!"

People greeted me when walked down the hallway. I waved back at them with a bright smile: "Hey everyone, let's once again do our best in school!" I cheered.

"Kaede-chan, I'm jealous of your confidence and social skills... To be able to make this many friends in this short amount of time is shocking." Ochako muttered.

"She's right you know, it's absolutely abnormal!" Mina complained

Hearing this, I have a smug smile for the rest of the walk to our class. Once in class, Aizawa-sensei commented on our performance yesterday in the Combat Trial. He then started talking about some Home Room business.

"Today, we will be picking selecting a class representative," Aizawa-sensei announced.

The entire class immediately turned to chaos. Everyone was shouting like crazy. Even Bakugo was screaming about becoming the class rep.

"Everyone please calm down!" Iida yelled in a loud voice.

Everyone soon returned to their senses and became embarrassed because of their behaviour.

"There can only be one class rep, how about we do a vote?" Iida suggested.

"But wouldn't we just vote for ourselves?" Kirishima asked.

"But that means that someone with multiple votes was perfect to be the class rep!" He explained. "Because that person has earned the trust of another classmate!"

We all agreed to his suggestions and soon we wrote down the person's name we think it was best to be the class rep on a small piece of paper. The votes were then put in a box Yaoyorozu created and Iida started writing on the board the number of votes each person got.

"So our class rep will be Uchiha and the vice class rep will be me!" He announced as he looked at the board.

"EH???" I yelled in shock.

I glanced at the board and saw that I received a whopping seventeen votes while Iida got two votes and of course, Bakugo voted for himself.

"Why her!" Bakugo shouted with a pissed-off expression.

"Well Uchiha-san's really kind and she easily helps us get closer to each other on the first day," Asui stated.

"Yeah, she even makes friends with most people in this school!" Mina added while nodding.

More and more people started praising me for why I deserved to be the class rep. Even Iida, who wanted to be the class rep the most agreed with their reasoning. When I heard their opinions of me, my face blushed deeply and I felt I'm gonna cry.

"Th...Thank you." I muttered shyly.

I then slowly walked to the front of the classroom and said in a flustered tone: "I..... Kaede Uchiha..... will accept the role of the class representative. Please take care of me!" I bowed.

Iida also did the same thing as me and the class (except Bakugo) cheered. Shortly after that ordeal, everything came back to normal. During lunch, I was eating with Ochako, Mina-, Midoryia, Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Asui. We're enjoying the food while Iida talks about his family background when suddenly the alarm in the cafeteria starts blaring.

"All students please evacuate to the outdoor area promptly." The speaker in the cafeteria said.

'This is when the reporters got in right?' I thought to myself and recall this scene in the anime.

Everyone else starts panicking and started running to the exit. They were pushing and shoving each other, if this continued any longer, people will get hurt. I quickly told Yaoyorozu-chan to make a megaphone for me. Once she did, I stood on top of the table and said in the loudest voice I can muster in case the megaphone wasn't enough.

"Everyone please calm down, it's only just some reporters! Look you can see them out the window right there!" I said and pointed to the window facing the entrance.

Sure enough, some reporters got into the school but they were immediately dealt with by the UA staff. Hearing my voice, everyone soon calmed down and came back to their sense, and felt ashamed of themselves. They soon returned to their seats, and sure enough, the speaker in the cafeteria sounded:

"Reporters have passed into the building, don't worry everything was taken care of."

Hearing the statement, they finally calmed down. I blew a sigh of relief and no one got seriously hurt. People looked at me with gratitude and they thanked me for my action. In class, Aizawa-sensei praised me for my quick thinking. He then informed us that tomorrow we will be doing Rescue Training outside of school.

I was happy, however, that happiness didn't last long. Since Rescue Training should start tomorrow. That also means that the League of Villains will finally make a move, I have to prepare myself so I can properly protect my friends!
