A Small Reprieve

As the Suna shinobi fled with all their might the grand and mighty form of Isobu didn't budge an inch. In truth I was currently sleeping and Isobu wasn't much better. The exhaustion of fighting against Shukaku for an extended period of time wasn't much physically especially with the outrageous stamina I currently had. The strain was actually completely mental. Apart from strategizing against Shukakus slippery self I was also keeping an eye on the battlefield and specifically tracking Tsunades condition in battle.

Battling and keeping an eye on her was a bit arrogant on my part and put unnecessary strain on myself. Considering the fairly subtle changes I had been making to the original story however I was wary Tsunade could meet her death if I was not careful. My execution of the Kazekage was a rash decision if I was honest but I believed his death wasn't integral to how Suna and Konoha would develop in the future. Not to mention clipping Sasoris strongest puppet early was a way to limit the little psychopaths growth. Then again I just meted out a death by dismemberment to the Kazekage so calling the man a psychopath maybe a bit hypocritical of me.

Nonetheless as Isobu and I stayed in place standing imposingly, the truth was a completely lazy Isobu and the passed out me were bluffing. If necessary we could continue to battle but with victory more or less assured the extra work we would have to put in was deemed largely unnecessary by us. Were these completely selfish actions? Yes. Did I care? Hell no. I was tired so let the little guys earn some merit Isobu was even less motivated to continue.

After sleeping for what seemed like an eternity I awoke to a seemingly worn down fortress in front of my lake. The sight made me wonder if I accidentally slept for a few years. That would suck but I'm sure I'd be dead or captured if that was the case. Shrinking down to my original body I was ambushed by a falling body, one I was familiar with. Catching her in a princess carry and looking down at a sleeping Tsunade made my heart a bit warm. Even with my monstrous form she liked to cuddle me, how nice.

Putting the thought of a sleeping Tsunade aside, two chains popped out from my back and searched for the Kazekages limbs. Eventually they were found as I'd made sure they sunk directly under me after my little show. Storing them in my corpse storage scroll I knew my ultimate battle form was more or less completed. Originally I intended to steal Shukaku and get his magnet release and sealing abilities as it would be better but I could settle for the third Kazekages magnet release and chakra. The heart stealing procedure had to be done in seclusion and slyly however so I began walking to the makeshift fortress.

As I arrived the guards were giving me knowing glances and the young kunoichi stationed were in a deep blush. Without a word they allowed me into the fort as I kept my casual stride. Shikaku Nara saw my figure walk into the fort and then looked upon the sleeping Tsunade curled up in my chest. With a strange expression on his face he merely pointed at a tent and mouthed that it was mine. Entering the tent I lowered Tsunade down on the sleeping mat and began my glorious work.

Pulling out one of the Kazekages torn limbs from my scroll I set it down and created a clone. After the clones creation obviously came the heart integration. Once the heart was fully adapted, back to the storage scroll the body parts went. To be honest I really coveted the Kazekages heart even though the two affinities I gained through his heart would be useless. The affinities themselves didn't matter though, what mattered was that I would now be able to use magnet release because of it. As someone who fought with kunai, being able to manipulate them freely at anytime would add a lot to my battle options not to mention if they were my thunder god kunai. Plus I had a little ploy with the magnet release in mind courtesy of my comic book knowledge.

Dropping a kunai with in the tent, I teleported to one of the kunai in the lake where I fought the Kazekage. Mobilizing my new magnet release I gathered all his iron sand, which was not as easy as it sounds, it took me a little while to get used to being able to magnetize the iron sand with my chakra signature and then move it properly. Eventually the task was completed and the iron sand was gathered in my hand in the form of a metal tower, just in case the teleportation would go wrong I wrapped the tower with my chakra, and only then did I teleport back to my tent.

Once in the tent I took advantage of Shikotsumyaku to hollow out a part of my radius and ulna bones in my right arm. After creating a hollow layer I pulled the bone out and then mobilized the iron sand to enter the hollow space. Returning the bones into my body, I repeated this process gradually until I had performed the operation on all my bones, minus my skull. Currently as my skeleton was layered with iron sand I mobilized my magnet release and raised myself in the air. Mawahahaha I was performing levitation on myself semi Magneto style. I say semi because the man used the electro magnetic fields of earth to fly in the comics and not his metal armor, movie method for the win however.

Once more teleporting out of the tent I began levitating around to try to gather mastery of my newfound flight. I'd rather not go into the specifics of how poorly that went but I eventually managed to get the hang of it. The only thing lacking was my speed, it wasn't bad but not Superman level either. A visit to the Terumi clan in the future may fix that. Finished with my first flight lesson I went back to the tent. Meeting a completely awake and blushing Tsunade was an unexpected gift… the punch that followed after not so much.

The punch didn't budge me an inch due to the density of my skeletal structure and the iron sand in it now I'm guessing. My skin however enjoyed no such benefit it would heal quickly but it would bruise for a bit. Regardless rubbing my now swollen cheek I had to ask.

" What was that for?"

" You carried me snuggled in your chest! For everyone to see! Do you know how embarrassing that is!"

" We're married it's not a big deal."

" Not a big deal! All the commanders looked at me with strange looks! I need their respect damn it!"

" Just punch them. Anyways do you need me to load your save?"

" No I didn't have to use my jutsu to fight that annoying hag…. Hmm that could work… come to the meeting in the central tent in a few minutes."

Waiting a few minutes for not so nice things to happen to my comra… associates. I don't want to catch another punch by calling them my comrades. The ruckus inside the tent eventually settled down. I walked in picked up a chair from the floor and sat at the head of the meeting table. Looking at the pig heads in the room I acted like I saw nothing and proceeded to ask for our next orders and battlefield reports.

The meeting proceeded in almost complete silence with everyone refusing to look Tsunade in the eye. Only Kakuzu dared to look up as he was the only one without a welt as he knew better than to antagonize my woman. When Kakuzu and Tsunade first got into a fight in Kiri over her rambunctious gambling habits he found out about Tsunades creation rebirth. After finding out the fact she could regenerate from any damage he simply opted to just avoid her and limit her spending behind her back. My retribution for hurting her was quite an ordeal for him after all, and he never wanted to lose so much money or hearts ever again.
