The battle continued in the same savage manner for a couple of weeks. The day time continued in fearsome battles and the nights were carried in eerie silence. A silence almost completely unperturbed if it wasn't for the two colossal beasts continuing to crash into one another. Repeatedly the sound of the land being torn apart continued and of the unfortunate few times the one tails was thrown onto the main battlefield… well the massive beast did not discriminate between friend or foe. Especially when it was being thrown around like a rag doll.
Despite being able to throw the one tails around Ren was not having the best days of his life. It was quite embarrassing how long this combat was taking. On paper he had already become a true blue Kage level threat. Reality did not meet expectations however and the nature of a tailed beast collision was not as simple as it would ideally be. Exploiting every single advantage Ren had helped mow down battlefields but a tailed beast collision became more of a competition between endurance levels. Not to mention a Shukaku who was in complete control of his body during the battle was nothing to scoff at.
Real life combat with a jinchuriki couldn't be settled in a matter of a single episode or manga panel. This was not a fight with a single life on the line. Not only the jinchuriki but the tailed beast itself was at risk of death. The trade off being that a tailed beast would eventually return to life while its jinchuriki would not. However the semi eternal life did not prevent a tailed beast from avoiding death at all costs and naturally a jinchuriki wouldn't be keen on the idea either. Ren had nearly killed the one tails jinchuriki Seto several times but Shukaku always managed to rescue his jinchuriki even at the last second. A cornered beast fighting to save its own skin was capable of some incredible feats when needed.
The battle of jinchuriki aside Kakuzu and Sakumo had more or less lost all reason for the battles initial three days. Any who stood in the way of the major paycheck would meet death immediately. While Sakumo had far more control and tact when chasing the Kazekage, he would still make anyone with a Suna headband getting in his way mincemeat. Literally. Watching the man tear through the battlefield would make anyone from Rens original Earth think he was an Atomic Samurai clone. Kakuzu on the other hand did not distinguish between foes and allies. Anything or anyone between him and the Kazekage would be punched through, blown to bits, sliced in half, or personally torn in half by force. After missing the three day bonus this got even worse and on a few occasions Sakumo was avoiding Kakuzus blows alongside the Kazekage.
Tsunades battle with Chiyo had several phases in contrast to the other powerhouses. Chiyo scattered poison on the battlefield so Tsunade would often remain in base camp administering or creating antidotes. Several new poisons and antidotes were developed throughout the battle. When the battle of medicine ended the head on battles began. With Tsunades Byakugan no matter how outnumbered she was by Chiyos puppets all would be countered or avoided without trouble. Opposed to Tsunades cool headed and untroubled look on the battlefield, Chiyo gradually grew more and more agitated. On the fifth day in particular where Sakumo using one of his while light sabres cut her son and daughter-in-law in half, she completely lost it.
Chiyo managed to retrieve the halves of the respective bodies from the battlefield. Time was then spent almost maniacally reattaching the halves and making several attempts at bringing them back to life. Naturally such a thing did not occur and Chiyo could not use her reincarnation jutsu on a body that had expired for several hours. She was completely devastated and her mourning cries could be heard for several nights. Once Chiyo got herself back together she began to completely ignore Tsunade and exclusively sought to battle Sakumo. Complete tunnel vision and rage had consumed her and she was eventually severely wounded when Sakumo defended himself.
Almost at the same time Ren had finally caught that asshole Seto and had finally impaled him with an adamantine sealing chain. As the chain entered Shukakus jinchuriki the mans chakra was being sealed and Shukakus form crumbled away. The Kazekage seeing his uncles fall immediately approached and outmaneuver did Kakuzu to do so. Upon arrival a gourd of some kind was made from his iron sand that also impaled the one tails jinchuriki. Once doing so I noticed what occurred via my Byakugan. The Kazekage had given up on his uncle and was extracting the beast and transferring it to a relic.
As expected I refused to allow this and returned from my massive Isobu form to a mere man falling from the sky. A man on a collision course with the Kazekage who adeptly avoided my trajectory. Seeing him move aside I immediately threw a thunder god kunai with full force. The kunai was casually blocked by the Kazekage who had erected an iron wall in the Kunais path.
In retaliation I emitted eight adamantine chains and then used them to throw even more kunai from different angles. The second I saw one bypass the mans wall was the second I appeared behind the wall and very close to the Kazekage. Staring at the wide eyed Kazekage a punch was thrown with a massive force behind it. Wide eyed or not however the Kazekage immediately blocked and began a taijutsu battle.
Once the first impact was made in the hand to hand combat between myself and the Kazekage I immediately made a character save. With the save completed I then began using the adamantine sealing chains to hopefully kill the man in front of me. Unfortunately several things went wrong. The first being the mass of troops that appeared to assist the man. The second was that once reinforcements arrived the man began fleeing into the air. The third being that Kakuzu had accidentally provided the man cover when he used his fire and wind signature mask jutsu to attack the Kazekage.
Despite the blunders, I had not given up and once more threw several thunder god kunai in his direction. His iron sand platform defended against the ones aimed at him but the fool overlooked the kunai that missed the mark and passed by his flanks. Seeing the opportunity I appeared on his right flank and managed to get my sealing chains wrapped around his legs and torso. Doing so managed to seal the mans chakra.
Before I manage to succeed the Kazekage seemed to have foresaw his predicament and ended up throwing the relic containing the one tails toward his own battle camp. Shortly afterwards the sealing chains were wrapped around him and from the air we fell down towards the lake below. Switching to standing on water was as simple as breathing for me now and I stood above the lake staring at the man called the strongest Kazekage. Looking at the man I could tell he had no fear of what would happen to him. The fact he was bound, without chakra, and more or less defenseless did not phase him. In reality he seemed a bit smug and even threw me a smirk. A little action that managed to piss me off.
Emitting more adamantine sealing chains from my body, I wrapped the chains around his individual limbs then… I pulled. The lack of proper chakra circulation in his body made things simple. Each limb tore off leaving bloody stumps where the limbs used to be attached. The little blood show managed to stop everyone in their tracks. As the whole battle field looked on at the mighty Kazekage scream in agony, the show got more brutal. The same sealing chains used to tear his limbs off were then wrapped around his neck. The chains already attached to him coiled around his body and pulled as hard as they could in opposite directions. All that remained intact of the Kazekage was a head.
Piercing a sealing chain in to the lower end of the decapitated head I raised it high into the air. The other sealing chains were coated in the mans blood and entrails. The body parts not being held by a sealing chain fell into the man made lake below. A lake slowly turning a crimson red. I released a guttural roar that could be heard across the battlefield and then shifted back to Isobus form. Seeing the beastly form once more, Suna ninja fled and were pursued by the Konoha ninja attempting to capitalize on the shift in momentum. After three weeks Suna had been routed following the tragic death of their Kazekage. The flames of war however were not limited to a single battlefield and I could not revel in this victory just yet.
