Runes created!

Abby was on cloud nine after having lunch with her family, one, big brother praised her food and two, she gets to go on a date with her big brother. She was strolling by the garden which was just behind their mansion when she heard an explosion.

Boom!

She rushed inside the mansion only to see the servants rushing towards her big brother's lab. The temperature suddenly dropped causing the servants to shiver from cold, Abby knew something might have happened to her big brother since after the explosion was heard everyone was moving towards his lab. 

Abby headed to the lab with speed unimaginable for someone her size, even getting there before the servants. At the door of the lab stood her parents looking inside with wide eyes which caused her to assume the worst but she also got stunned when she got to the door. Inside the lab sat Ethan with his beautiful white hair and clothes in a mess but what really surprised them was the fact that there was a really big hole on the wall and he was laughing really loudly. Since everything was okay, Aled signaled the approaching guards and servants to go back.

Ethan was so happy by his success that he didn't even care about his noble image, heck, his image could take the middle finger for all he cares, he could use magic now. The faint soreness of his mana veins due to not passing that much mana through them for a long time, the huge hole on the wall of the lab and the destroyed torso of his experimental dummy (let's call him Bob!) were all proofs that he could finally use magic, although different but it was still magic nonetheless.

He turned towards the door of the lab and saw his family standing there with surprised looks on their faces. 

"I-I finally did it" Ethan said with a smile.

They ran into the lab to give him a hug, more or less understanding what had happened. Their son / brother could finally use magic. Ethan enjoyed and returned their hugs and they stayed like that for a couple of minutes before they set him free.

"So, how did you do it?" Aled asked in a curious tone.

Knowing what his father wanted to know, he simply replied "I used runes".

This reply surprised his family, especially his dad who had a general knowledge on the subject.

"But how do you plan on bypassing the limitations of runes?" his dad asked.

"By using my mana as the medium" Ethan replied "let me show you" he said moving back while opening the rune creation screen and defining attributes for a new rune.

[Rune name: Telekinesis]

[Description: By releasing mana in the environment, the user can leave a rune imprint on a selected object which in turn allows the user to move the object without physically touching it.]

[Condition: the mana cost depends on the size and distance of the object, can be activated with user's intent]

Ethan then moved his hand towards the fallen head of Bob, leaving a rune imprint on it he commanded with his mind allowing the head to move towards him, this caused his family to become even more surprised. After his demonstration and explanation, which took a while, his family left him in the lab since he was excited to create more runes.

He spent the entire day the entire day in his lab creating the following runes.

[Rune name: Detonate]

[Description: By releasing mana, the user leaves a rune imprint on a selected target which the user can trigger causing mana overload which, if isn't released, causes the target to explode]

[Condition: The trigger word 'detonate' must be used to activate. Can fail if the target has defense over mana attacks]

[Rune name: Locate/ Search]

[Description: By releasing mana in the environment, the user can detect anything with mana within 500 meters]

[Condition: Trigger word 'search' must be used]

[Rune name: Mana bubble]

[Description: Releases mana in the form of a shield which protects from any mana-based attacks]

[Condition: Trigger word 'mana bubble' must be used]

[Rune name: Boost]

[Description: Increases the user's physical stats for 5 minutes at the cost of stamina]

[Condition: Trigger word 'boost' must be used]

[Rune name: Heal]

[Description: Using mana, this rune heals most wounds (excluding lost limbs) and fatigue]

[Condition: Trigger word 'heal' must be used]

[Rune name: Stats]

[Description: using projection runes, the user can see the numerified values of his stats]

[Condition: Trigger word 'status' must be used]

The creation of these runes excited Ethan so much that by the time he finished, it was already early the next day. He wanted to try the runes right away but since most of the people in the mansion were already sleeping, he decided not to.

Ethan was already feeling sleepy since he couldn't get enough sleep the past few days and coming with his relief of success was a huge load of fatigue. Now he could go and sleep in his room but that will probably mean him missing school, which he doesn't mind but he has to register for the non-compulsory test today which will give him a chance to test his newly created runes and get ideas for more. So, to deal with his fatigue, Ethan chose to try out his new spell.

"Heal" he chanted which activated the spell causing his entire body to be covered in mana. After a few seconds the mana disappeared leaving Ethan as refreshed as one can be.

"Status" he called out once again causing a different screen to appear before his eyes.

Ethan was satisfied seeing his stats in numerical form, well all except his mana which didn't surprise him since you can't really measure infinite. He turned towards the window and saw that it was almost dawn, so he ran out of the lab into his room to prepare for school.
