Ethan's family

"And that's all for today" Mr. Eli said, wrapping up the class. "Remember, if you're interested in taking the non-compulsory test next week, this is the final week for registration" with that he left the class, allowing the students to go home.

Ethan went outside the school building expecting his carriage to be waiting for him, but what he saw waiting for him made his lip twitch, a few meters from the gates gathered a large group of students staring at a strange looking carriage.

"Is that a carriage?"

"Where are the horses?"

"Can it even move without horses?"

"Why is it growling, is there a beast inside?"

What stood outside was the first car model produced by MagiTech industries, designed by Ethan himself. The car uses something called an 'engine' imbued with magic which replaces the pulling force of horses. For the naming, Ethan couldn't be bothered to come up with something, so he just used the first three letters of the word 'carriage'.

Anyway, Ethan was annoyed because he didn't want more attention drawn to him and he was already contemplating walking home, but he was too late because his butler already spotted him.

"Master Ethan!" his butler shouted causing the students looking at the car to turn their heads to him.

Ethan walked up to him and entered the car not minding the stunned students. The butler entered the coach's, I mean driver's seat, and saw the annoyed look on his master's face.

"Master, your mother was the one who insisted we pick you up with the newly arrived car" the butler defended while he got the car moving.

*sigh* "it's fine, by the way, when did you learn to drive" Ethan sighed and changed the topic since no one could win against his mother, not even him.

"I joined the factory's driving training with master's other servants" the butler, James, replied. James has been taking care of Ethan since he (Ethan) was born and he is Ethan's most loyal servant till date. According to James, the master has always been different from other kids, his master's genius was beyond what the world has ever seen. He even thought that because of his master's constant successes in everything he does, a single failure could bring him down, but no, his master became even more determined after finding out he couldn't bond with elements at the age of 10. Overall, his master was amazing.

"Hmm" Ethan just nodded and looked outside the window observing the passing buildings and the people coming out of their houses to see what was making that strange sound.

The journey to his home wasn't long since it only took 15 minutes. The car entered the gates of a big, beautiful mansion and at the door of the mansion stood 3 people in noble clothing with servants behind them. Ethan got down from the car and before he could take a step forward a white-haired missile landed on his chest.

The white-haired missile was his little sister, Abby, was one of the people standing at the door. She waits by the door every day after school just to give her brother the hardest hug ever.

"Big brother" she happily called in a cute voice.

"How was your day?" Ethan asked, taking in his daily dose of cuteness.

He raised and put his sister on his shoulder, he then walked to the door where his parents were waiting for him.

Rhea and Aled, Ethan's parents, were renowned S rank high nobles. Rhea, Ethan's mother, had white hair which Ethan and his sister inherited from her, coupled with her green eyes made her an absolute beauty no doubt Aled had fierce competition while chasing. Aled on the other hand had black hair and blue eyes, which Abby got from him (the eyes).

Ethan just like his mom had white hair but with never-before-seen golden eyes, which added to his handsomeness.

"Hello mother and father" Ethan greeted in a formal tone, which caused them to frown and not reply.

"Sigh, hello mom and dad" Ethan rephrased his greeting this time, in an informal way. Which caused his mom to grin widely.

"How was school Ethan?" His dad asked, he was also smiling.

"Boring" he replied.

"We were just about to have lunch why don't you join us?" His mom asked, pulling them inside.

"Mom, I'm not-"

"Abby helped in preparing it" Rhea interrupted.

"That's right big brother, Abby wanted to cook for you" Abby said from his shoulders.

"As I was saying, I'm starving" Ethan quickly said.

They were then led to the dining table, which was filled with foods that were Ethan's favorites. The maids began serving them as soon as they sat down.

"Big brother, how does it taste?" Abby asked in an expectant voice.

"Yes Abby, it tastes great" Ethan smiled and answered which made her smile even wider.

"How come you only act like this to your sister?" his mom asked with a pout.

"That's because her cuteness level is…. Over 9000!" he replied with an animated face, causing everyone at the table to laugh.

"Your little wives are returning tomorrow" his dad suddenly said.

"They're already done with the dungeon. I thought it would take a week, even for them" Ethan was surprised, he expected them to take a week to clear the dungeon not because of the difficulty but because of the sheer size of it.

"The reports I received stated that they were going at a normal pace until the third day, when they started complaining about missing you so they 'picked up the pace'" Aled said in an amused tone.

"I know, why don't you take them on a date when they return" Rhea chimed in.

"I will" Ethan replied with a small smile on his face.

"Abby also wants a date" Abby said while pouting.

"Yes, little Abby, you too" he answered while standing up "thanks for the food, I'll be in my lab."

With that he walked to his lab with excitement, if everything goes well, today will finally be the day he uses magic.
