It's been 3 days since I've sent that email. I started to believe that it was a prank, that I've made a fool of myself believing in a fairy tale.
I sat on my chair in front of my desk, ready to delete that email. Right as I was about to press delete, what seemed to be the unthinkable for me at that moment happened. I got a notification. You've guessed it, it was an email, not any email, but the one I was expecting.
My hand started shacking as I moved the cursor over the notification. My finger wouldn't listen to me when I wanted to click.
"So, after all this time someone had finally decided to take my message seriously. I think that you know I won't trust you, since people like us are on the run, and one of our enemies pretending to be an ally isn't excluded. For now I have to find a new way to communicate. I will keep you updated trough these emails. Just a reminder, when you feel like someone is following you, run, no matter what.
Somehow I calmed down after reading this, as disturbing and frightening as some things might seem.
"Someone who knows I'm not crazy..."
I spent the rest of my day at home, doing nothing. I didn't really talk to my parents, and they didn't bother me. They must know how I feel about all this.
"Who wouldn't be mad? They didn't even bother to listen to me, their own son. Maybe I'm being to harsh? DAMN IT, I HATE BEING SO UNDECIDED!"
I slammed my fist on my desk in an attempt to release some anger, but for some reason I only felt angrier.
I decided to go to sleep, since it's the best way for me to calm down. I had quite the hard time falling asleep, but in the end my body gave up and decided to rest.
I don't think I had ever needed to sleep more than I did that day. I woke up feeling better than I had always felt. I quickly got out of bed, grabbed my phone and somehow felt confused.
"Wait, I can also use my phone for all these emails and stuff. Why didn't I think about it earlier?"
I immediately connected to my email on my phone.
"Well damn, that was fast..."
A new message.
"I got a way for us to talk. You forgot to tell me the name of the city you live in, so I kinda helped myself and found it out."
"Found it out... helped myself... what kinda shit did I get myself stuck in?"
"Lucky for the both of us, I also happen to be there. I hid a phone for you to use, one that can't be tracked."
"Damn... I'm more than fucked... Just... what's up with this...life ain't no movie..."
It was then that I had realised the seriousness of the mess I had gotten myself into. To need such devices meant that someone must have been tailing that person, and the same might have happened to me, but I was ready to find some answers. I wanted to prove that I was not crazy.
"Go to the Won Ton chinese restaurant and ask for the waiter's speciality. I will contact you in 2 days, so you better move."
"Waiter's speciality. Only someone out of their mind would ask for this. Smart."
I went down the stairs, aiming for the door.
"I'm going out."
It was strange. No one answered. It was quite unusual for my parents to say nothing. I quickly checked around the house, and the it hit me. They were out for work. Dumb me. I was ready to go, but I decided to write a note for them. After all, they are my parents.
"Done. Time to head out."
I wanted to thank all of you for 1k views. This really made my day and gives me enough motivation to keep going with this. I just hope that I will be able to bring my readers high quality content, so I'll have to work harder. Once again, thank you.
