Chapter 25 : Isn’t that the betrothal gift for marriage?

"Nawaki, is your sister at home?" Watanabe said to the little boy.

His original intention was to ask Nawaki to call Tsunade out and leave after the cakes were delivered. After all, there were so many ninjas visiting Tsunade's house, and he, an unknown kid, would only feel uncomfortable if he went inside.

But he never expected that when Nawaki saw him, he immediately showed a panic expression, and rushed to the door without looking back, shouting:

"Sister! Watanabe, Watanabe is here to ask for your hand in marriage!"

Watanabe: "…"

' What the fuck '

He was dumbfounded at the time and felt that Tsunade's brother was definitely stupid.

' I'm here to give you a birthday present, not to propose marriage! '

The noisy and bustling voices in the mansion suddenly became silent. Watanabe had already imagined the scene of the major ninja clans looking confused.

There was a moment when Watanabe really wanted to turn around and leave.

Showing up to propose marriage with a giant gift box in his arms is even more foolish than when Hashirama was young.

Mito didn't care about Watanabe's civilian status. If Tsunade and Watanabe were really in love, she wouldn't object to them being together. But the problem was that she hadn't observed Watanabe yet and knew nothing about his moral character. How could she trust him with her granddaughter?

Watanabe smiled in a nonchalant manner.

"Tsunade, your brother is really humorous. This is just a birthday present for you."

"Ah?"

Nawaki was stunned and asked suspiciously: "Isn't that the betrothal gift for marriage?"

A gift for marrying your sister !?

Watanabe thought that Tsunade must not have a good relationship with her brother, otherwise Nawaki would not have thought of marrying her off.

If a sister wants to beat her younger brother, she should start from a young age, especially for a younger brother like Nawaki, it is understandable.

"No, this is just a birthday present." Watanabe explained with a smile.

"Oh oh." Nawaki suddenly realised and breathed a sigh of relief: "My sister has waited for you for so long... um!"

Tsunade covered her silly brother's mouth to stop him from talking nonsense.

Mito understood everything after seeing this. It turned out that it was a misunderstanding caused by her grandson. Watanabe was just attending the birthday party normally and was not proposing marriage. The real fool was Nawaki.

After all, he is a descendant who inherited Hashirama's genes.

After blocking Nawaki's mouth, Tsunade took the gift box and asked curiously, "What's in it?"

Watanabe: "Birthday cake, you can open it and eat it now."

Tsunade quickly opened the gift box, and a super-large cake appeared in front of everyone. On the surface of the cake, a cartoon portrait of Tsunade with a bright smile was painted with cream, which looked extremely cute.

"It's very beautiful."

Mito smiled and said, "For a cake this big, you need to order it several days in advance, right?"

She also prepared a cake for Tsunade, but it was obvious that Watanabe's cake was more thoughtful.

Mito and Tsunade were both startled.

Mito also smiled and said, "Put the cake on the main table, and anyone who wants to eat can take it."

Tsunade hesitated for a moment. She was actually reluctant to destroy her own cartoon avatar. But then she thought, since Watanabe was there, she could just ask him to make as many cakes as she wanted.

"Nawaki, take Watanabe to sit with the family. The banquet will start soon." Mito continued to instruct.

"Okay, Watanabe, follow me!"

Nawaki's face was full of positivity and he really wanted to have more contact with his future brother-in-law.

Watanabe was traumatised by his 'betrayal' and he was afraid that this guy would do something embarrassing to him again.

"Watanabe, this is our Senju clan's great elder, Grandpa Zongyan, and this is the second elder..."

After bringing Watanabe to the main table of the Senju clan, Nawaki enthusiastically introduced him to the elders of the Senju clan.

The Senju elders were quite surprised. You know, all the people sitting at their table were from the Senju clan, and even Sarutobi Hiruzen couldn't come in.
