Hello guys, Luke here, now some of you may wonder, who am I and why you are

reading this, it's pretty simple really...its because you guys were bored

looking for something good to read and me who is writing my story to passmy

time while my wife is preparing a meal.

So I am luke or rather it was my name when I was on earth well though now I go

by the name Lu Tian. Apparently, both my father and mother loved street food

and also met at my mother's stall, according to my father it was a coincidence

but from what my mother said this kind of coincidence happened a lot like 10

times a week minimum until my mother had it enough and well things happen and I

came to be.I would say I had a rather awesome life when I was on earth

considering I survived corona star v2.0 near the 2035s which at somethe point

had brought humanity to its knees, well what would one expect to happenwhen

some shithead decided to upgrade the 2020 disaster to use it as a biochemical

threat because the nuclear weapons and military might weren't enough to keepthe

people of his country and neighboring countries suppressed, after all, it'snot

like he did something wrong when he decided to massacre a class full of

6-year-old because they publicly asked about the world outside their country,

well anyways so some shit happened and coronbies got to lose.

Though it was tragic humans finally got their heads out of the gutter to make

a combined government though that did cost almost 40% human population, soyeah,

and my family survived that apocalypse, I guess being the bestProgramming

genius, in decades, has its perks huh?

life was as good after that, though I never married as I got corrupted by wifu

culturefrom time immemorial as I was an avid fan of anime, manhwa, manga,

novels,etc...and after the peaceful passing of my parents I decided to gift the

fellowcultured people with their wet dream. That is, me and my team in the 2060s

finally managed to develop a fucking full-dive system with 98% realism and 90%

operation freedom, I still remember I died from a heart attack when I was inthe

middle of a boss fights 69th floor of aincrad (the boss was succubus and

incubus pair based on rai from nobleese and sahiko from kakeguri twin with the

power to pull other into an illusion world).

So I died, and the Goddess of luck finally showed her charm, and I

reincarnated, I never met the goddess, but I would like to think it's her.

Being reborn is a weird experience, especially as a newborn. For the first few

months, everything looks blurry and gigantic, and the sound feels weird like

someone is talking in water or dragging the words purposefully kinda like that.

The unknown language doesn't help either so one can only spend time eating,

sleeping, and shitting. The thoughts are hard to form and most of the time are

chaotic, it hard to recognize one's own thoughts.

With no sense of time, it starts getting clearer, and thinking becomes easier,

although it's still hard to keep focus because of the giants being around but

it gets better after getting used to them.

I think I was a year old but one day when I was done drinking milk, my hunger

started, I felt a change and I instinctively knew that I had a few nifty little

abilities, and these abilities were something that I knew quite well but they

were just a bit different.

AS Chapter 2:Training and QuestMay 9, 2022

Early morning after eating breakfast, Luke left home along with his mom for the

training ground, although in Sparta official military training starts at the age

of 8 that doesn't mean they allow kids to wander around all day.

Every day in the morning kids from ages 4-to 7 had to gather for basic

training like running and basic discipline etc.

Today is Luke's third day since he started training, fifteen minutes later

they reached the training ground, or should he say park though they don't exist

at the moment, in the park, there were lots of people gathered but they were

mainly kids with their mothers and a few old guys and even though it's formal

training from military but it is only a few runs around the ground and basic

stretching warm-up, the main purpose for this is to get them used to discipline

slowly along the 4 years of buffer period before they officially join military

as recruits.

As there was still a bit of time left before they start, Luke decided to check

his system

Seeing all stats as F- and even having F+ in programming he was quite pleased

because from what he understood only elites in this world or his old world can

After reviewing his stats he decided to look in the shop, during the past two

days he had combed through quite a lot of F-rank skills, as the higher ones

were out of reach and he didn't want to experience sour grapes so, he decided

to skip them for now.

The skill he decided on are simple basic skills but they are growth-type

skills that can be trained and upgraded.

Resilience (F-)- makes the body more tenacious, increases base stamina and

stamina recovery speed when resting.

Bull strength(F-) - increase the body's ability to exert force continually or

in a burst.

Now although all four of them are basic, they come with the knowledge to train

and upgrade them up to the very peak of F+ grade.

Different breathing patterns, physical exercise, mental exercise, nutrition

intake, etc...he would get all the knowledge from buying these, aside from that

they will also build his base rock solid.

Next was choosing the quest he would accept for points, after looking through,

from all the available ones, Luke chose two daily, one monthly(repeatable), one

yearly(repeatable), and three with 4 years time limit (nonrepeatable).

From what Luke knows, an everyday healthy average adult would have parameters

at the peak of F-, a normal soldier is low F to mid F and talented and

hardworking generals and leaders are between High F to mid-F+.

In this world, there is no special physique or anything therefore the maximum

one can reach is the limit of F+ in parameters.

Soon the instructor arrived and the training started with Luke standing

straight in front of the instructor waiting for the instructions.

Time skip - 4 years

It's been 4 years since Luke started training and although the years that went

by were uneventful there are still quite a few things that changed, for one

thing, Luke got a nickname because of his continuous challenge to different

people every month some he lost against adult soldiers though he still

completed his monthly quest, aside from that because of compression as well as

being reincarnated person Luke showed sign of early maturity and high intellect

resulting him being chosen for the training as captain of a squad in the future.

Right now, Luke was cooking dinner along with his mother which has become a

daily routine by now, although he hasn't become an expert, he still reached a

decent level.

"I heard you would be joining recruits tomorrow as squad captain candidate,"

asked Luke's Father as Luke started preparing the dinner table.

"Yup, that's true though it still depends on how I perform in the official

training" replied Luke as he helped his mother serve the dinner.

"It's quite a good result considering I became a squad Captain after years of

service but don't you think you could have gotten the battalion Captain

candidate position if you focused more on training instead of house chores and

cooking, it's still not too late to completely focus on training you know"

replied his dad and although it seemed that his dad wasn't happy with him but

Luke knew that isn't the case, his dad is proud of him and all he achieved but

being a soldier for half his life, it has become difficult for him express his

emotion openly.

"Don't worry about it dad, although it's possible to achieve more if I focused

more on training I think relaxing and rest are just as important for my growth

If I keep focusing on one thing I will burn myself out quickly" replied Luke as

he started eating.

"Well, as long as you are satisfied," said his dad as he also started eating.

Luke's mother smiled seeing the both of them stiffly talking to each other, it

has become kinda norm in the house since Luke matured too early and her husband

becomes a stiff stick in an attempt to portray a strict and cool father image

in front of Luke and Luke also knew about it since he remembers his father

cooing and booing in front of him when he was just an infant, he always enjoys

these 'strict talk' with his father.

After dinner, Luke spend some time with his parents talking about different

things and enjoying the family time, although it was awkward at first but when

you spend years with someone who takes care of you, one develops a deep bond

naturally and now this kind of family time has become a norm for Luke which he

enjoys dearly.

It was late at night when Luke returned to his room, laying on his bed he

Chapter -3 Training, quest, and skills

Time skip 10 years

It's been 10 years since Luke started his official training, in comparison to

the World he is in, his gains have been enormous.

During these 10 years, he continued with his two dailies(helping his mother

and disciplining), his monthly (warrior path), and yearly (plus ultra), aside

from that he also accepted a new daily quest, quite a few circumstantial ones

like -

Get used to killing, blood, and gore, and hunt one animal of more than 70kg

weight class.

Now standing on the military ground waiting for the final task of his training

to be assigned he decided to check his stats after a long time.

As he was wondering what to do with the remaining point, his instructor called

him to the barracks, for his final task, kinda like a graduation exam.

According to the task he has to go to the wilderness and hunt one of the

ruling beasts there, it could be a lion, the leader of the wolf pack, or any

another beast.

For Luke though there was only one beast, the artic bear. He had encountered,

it two years back and almost died in its hand, now it was payback time.

It took Luke 5 months of constant travel to reach the artic bear's territory,

the last time he came here, he was on a training expedition, and now he was

back again.

Looking at his surroundings, it was still the same as the last time he was

here...it was the start of the spring season, the winter has just receded, and

the land was still covered in the white sheen of the snow but he could stillsee

small puddles in the distance which in reality are just part of the frozen sea

that has melted to provide a place for the hunt to denizens of this frozen

thundra.

After calming down his nerves and taking a deep breath, he resumed his journey

towards the abode of the beast, a giant cave they found during the winter

expedition two years ago, it took him two days to reach the cave, looking

around he remembered the time when most of the group among the 100 people in

the expedition ended up becoming the meal of the artic bear because someone

decided to ruin its beauty sleep.

Although he survived that day but the feeling of fear when he first heard the

roar, the adrenaline rush he felt when they decided to confront it, for

Spartans never cower, the thrill during the battle, and finally, the relief

when the beast retreated after killing 69 among them, Luke remembered it all

and he is back for the hunt this time alone.

After looking around the cave entrance, he found the tracks the bear left near

the cave and nothing was indicating its return so he decided to scout the cave.

It was a fairly large cave, around 30x30 ft. and 100m deep...inside he found

the clearing with big boulders in the surrounding, and considering all thehair

and feces around it was most probably the resting place of the bear.

After a while, he returned outside to scout the surroundings but did not find

any better place for the hunt, so he decided to return to the cave, although it

wasn't optimal but was still the best location he found considering its limits

the bear's directional mobility, the ceiling won't allow it to be in a bipedal

stance and boulders in the surrounding could be used to avoid its paw smash,

there was also the point that he wasn't confident enough to outpace the beast

and lead it to a different location.

Making up his mind, the first thing he did was to rub the fur and feces on

himself to remove his scent and blend in with the surrounding, after that

biting the spear in his mouth, he climbed the sidewall of the cave, and after

reaching an optimal position he pushed himself with all his strength to make a

side jump towards the ceiling, logging himself on one of the three stalactites

on the ceiling then adjusted himself in between the three, drawing out his

dagger lying in wait for the beast to return.

He didn't know how long he waited but when he heard the sound from outside of

the cave, all his muscles tensed, he became alert and focused, finally it was

time for the hunt.

Soon the bear entered his vision but from its constantly moving ears,

twitching nose, and darting eyes, Luke knew it was alert, even if Luke tried it

was still impossible to remove all his traces.

The bear looked around for a while finding nothing it returned outside again

to look for the intruder but still did not find anything and returned to the

cave for rest.

Seeing the bear lying on the ground with closed eyes, most would think it's the

the optimal moment for an ambush but Luke waited and waited until all the

micro-moment of the bear became minimal and its breathing calm.

Luke knew that this was the moment, his was breath calm like an undisturbed

lake,his mind focused, and time seems to slow down for Luke, as he let go of

the stalactite.

'PUSSSSSS''ROARRRRR''BAMMM''COUGHH, COUGH'

For both Luke and the beast it was a split of a second, a moment that felt

like an eternity to Luke, the moment he dropped on the head of the beast,

clogging his dagger in the beast's left eye and getting launched to the side by

the jerk of the beast's head and hitting the wall, it was all just a moment, a

moment that decided this world's fate.

Taking deep breaths, Luke looked at the agonizing beast, disoriented and

flustered from the sudden loss of an eye, its survival instinct takes over

making it wary of Luke, roaring at him again and again in warning.

It was a scene, a situation that made Luke satisfied, deciding to end the

hunt, Luke got up and picked up the leather pouch which he dropped upon impact,

there wasn't anything special in the pouch, just a mixture of red chilly

powder, pepper powder, and salt.

Seeing Luke getting up again, the beast knew either it had to fight or flee,

but the walls around it seemed much larger than before, and the space it used

to live in seemed much smaller, only being able to see with one eye made

turning around seemed much harder so it charged with everything at Luke,

raising its paw in the hopes of smashing Luke.

Seeing the beast charge toward him, Luke jumped behind a boulder, which

shuddered at the impact of the bear's paw.Getting his chance, Luke threw the

opened pouch at the bear's face, raisingits agony even more.

From there on, it was a fight with the mindless, frightened, and berserk beast

which ended with a spear up in the ass of the artic bear.

ROTTH Chapter 1

"ugh"

I woke up with a slight headache to the murmuring voices around me, my vision

blurred, and my head dizzy.

I shook my head a bit to get rid of the dizziness, rubbed my eyes to clear my

vision and what appeared in front of me were a bunch of guys in robes pointing

at me, talking in a hushed voice.

"what the.."I shifted my attention to the new voice I heard and saw four other

guys besides me looking all confused and for some reason, I felt relieved that

most probably I am not gonna be alone in whatever is happening right now.

After my nerves calmed down a bit I started looking around, I was sitting on

some kind of alter along with the other four, and we were in some kind of huge

hall, and even though I couldn't see any electric light, an electric switch or

Ac or anything the hall was still alight from the light coming from some kind

of crystals embedded in the walls, it all felt magical and surreal.

Noting that there isn't any danger for now considering that he wasn't chained

or anything, I decided to examine my body because from what I remember I was

sitting in the class whether or not to help the student being bullied when

suddenly there was a flash then everything went blank and the next thing I knew

I was here.

It was even my first day after transfer, talk about luck, anyway, as I

examined myself I noticed that there is a book in my hand, the book have a

brown cover with a metallic platinum-colored border inlaid with four small

green crystals at the corner, a big blue gem in the center with two ruby

colored crystal at the top and bottom of the gem.

I got dazed for a moment because the book seriously gave me harry potter

vibes. I turned to see others and saw they were also holding different things,

mainly a sword, a shield, a bow, and a spear.

It looks like I am caught something magical, most probably a summoning

considering my current situation. Now that I have a proper hold of myself, I

should ask these robed guys what this is all about.

"So are you guys going to tell us where we are?" I heard the guy with the

sword asking which I welcomed because I don't want to bring too much attention

to myself for now.

"oh, honorable heroes, please save our world"

Those words were enough to confirm my speculation, though I would have

preferred to be reincarnated instead as most of the time things don't go well

with summoned ones.

"what do you mean by that?" asked the guy with the shield.

"You all are chosen heroes, summoned by ancient ritual, but it seems something

has gone wrong because only 4 heroes were supposed to be summoned according to

the ritual, the sword, the spear, the bow, and the shield, and there wasn't

anything written about the book," said the guy standing at the lead of robed

while looking at the book in my hand.

I just hummed in response to that while nodding towards the robed guy

indicating that I understood what he said. As for being angry or something,

there wasn't anything like that in my mind because for one I am in their

territory, and neither I know anything about their strengths nor do I know

anything about mine so acting aggressively would be just plain stupid. Second,

because for me, there isn't anyone special waiting in my world, and aside from

cultural activities there wasn't anything interesting to do in my previous

world, at least not that I enjoyed, so for me, it was the same as changing

towns and since this world had summoning magic, there is a chance I might be

able to learn another type of magic too.

I just have to make sure none of us piss off the guys that summoned us at

least until we have enough strength to protect ourselves and looking at the

other four guys' excited expressions, I think they at least know what isekai

means they shouldn't do anything stupid.

2 hours later

After the talk with the king, we were shown our resting room, and even though

the bed is soft but looking at the other four guys, it seems impossible to get

rid of my worries.

It's official, this world is doomed, we are all gonna die.

What is with these people, how am I supposed to fight alongside these morons,

even monkeys would be better. Who the fuck threaten a king in his throne room,

surrounded by his people, are they blind, can't they see the hate and

discrimination in the kings and aides' eyes for the shield?.

Better thou hast a smart enemy than a stupid dammed teammate.

I can't go with them, I have to solo if I want to protect myself but before

that, I have to get information from them, they seem way too relaxed for

someone who is going to fight against a world-ending threat, and from their

conversation, it looks they have played a game similar to this world, well

aside from the shield guy who is as clueless as me.

Now how should I go about this, the spear guy Motoyasu is definitely a

pervert, the sword guy Ren is a show-off, and the bow guy Itsuki is definitely

a hypocrite though we all have our hypothetical moment this guy definitely

takes the cake, and finally the shield guy Naofumi, a naive guy though

definitely better and more sensible than the other three and considering he is

a shield he would be a great help but that begs the question of the king's

attitude towards the shield hero. Should I keep my distance or--

"Hey Noctis, what do think"

Getting out of my musing, I saw Naofumi, and the rest were looking at me.

"Huh, what is it?" I asked confused.

"You weren't listening? We were discussing the possibility of us being from

different earth" replied Naofumi while others just stared at me.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought, and about us being from a different earth, it

wouldn't be a big deal after all aren't we in a world with magic? So the

concept of parallel earth isn't too farfetched" I replied as I decided how I

will proceed with info gathering.

We talked a bit more before we decided to go back to our rooms to sleep. As

everyone retired to their room, I decided to talk with Motoyasu first.

"Yo Motoyasu, it's Noctis, you got a minute?" I said as I knocked on the door

of Motoyasu's room waiting for him to open the door.

"Noctis? What is it?" replied Motoyasu as he saw me after opening the door

"Nothing much just wanted to talk to you a bit," I said

"Sure come on it"

A white space with no end in sight no matter which direction one looks, silent

surroundings to the point that one could hear the beating of another's heart.

The only activity in this desolate place to ever appear were the occasional

blobs, seemingly made of some Cloud-like substance, some moving some standard

and ripples that would appear sometimes around those blobs and sometimes far

far away.

POV(???)

Opening my eyes the first thing I felt was a splitting headache but instead of

being angry, worried, or panicked, I was relieved. Why one may ask well it's

because my gamble paid off.

After I died in my previous life I ended up in some kind of white void as a

blob, now as an avid reader it was normal for me to get excited especially when

I thought of different scenarios that I read about, but my excitement was

short-lived because as waited for something to happen I another blob like me

appearing but the difference was that it was covered in some kind of light

cacoon. After it appeared it started moving around until a ripple in the White

void appeared and it disappeared into it.

I kept waiting in the void for something to happen, I saw the same thing

happen on numerous occasions with blobs of different colors but I didn't lose

hope until I noticed that I started forgetting my memories, memories like my

name, my cat's name, etc. At that moment I knew I had to do something and the

next time a new blob with a light cacoon appeared I started having around in

its proximity making sure not to touch the light cacoon and the moment another

ripple appeared in the space I decided to enter it but bounced off instead

resulting in colliding with blob right behind me pushing it out of the cocoon

and taking it's placed instead. Now I didn't know what would happen but I knew

I would most likely forget myself if I remained in that place for long so I

once again tried to enter the ripple this time with the light cacoon

surrounding me, this time I succeeded and now here I am most likely

transmigrated.

Whether my gamble was right or not, whether what I did was right or not, I

never thought and I won't think about it either, I was able to save poor little

life and that is more than enough for me.

That is my name now, I don't know whether the person I am now is dead or not,

and frankly, I won't worry about it either. Entering that ripple was my choice

and I would make the same choice again. Long before in my previous life, I had

committed myself to never let myself be shackled by either my past which

already happened, or my future which will always be uncertain. Although It

didn't mean that I have no regrets or I won't make a different decision if I

ever could go to the past but they will never affect my decision in present.

Now, laying in bed when I think about it, the only thing I could remember

regarding the kid is the name and the fact that at 9 years old the kid has

admitted to 'Agent military Academy' a place to nurture elites to fight

monsters and djinns.

From this, I can conclude that the world I am in is a typical fantasy world

with monsters and hunter profession in a broad sense. I know I should look

around a bit more but as mentally exhausted as I was, I decided to sleep off my

morning.

Gu world, Southern border, on a small mountain by the name Qing Mao Mountain,

in a small clan named Gu Yue Clan two, four-year-old kids could be seen

standing side by side in front of a couple but unlike one would expect normally

both kids were quiet at the moment despite just having suffered the loss of

their parents.

The two kids fang Yuan and Fang Zheng were born as twins but what made both of

them special is that both housed a reincarnated soul, one came to be as a

result of some higher being interference while the other for some reason

unknown.

Hailed as genius twins of the Gu Yue Clan both had shown traits that set them

apart from others their age.

Fang Yuan a genius boy who started talking when he was just three months old

while walking at four, a genius who can recite exceptional poetry even at his

current young age while the younger brother of the two Fang Zheng boasted great

comprehension and an analytic mind capable of learning anything taught in a

matter of days.

"Hello kids, I am your Uncle, your father's brother, you can call Uncle Dong

before me but don't worry you are not alone," said a man to the two brothers

standing in front of him with a smile not really feeling sad at his brother's

tired so you can rest for now I will introduce you to everyone in the house

later" added the woman standing beside Dong Tu barely able to conceal her

impatience.

Listening to the adults the two kids went to their rooms to rest. Opening the

door to his room Fang Zheng looked around, there was a bed, a table, a chair,

and a wardrobe. Not minding minimalistic style he lies down on the bed closing

his eyes for some much-needed rest.

4. There exists extreme physiques either natural or artificial that have an

extreme affinity to a particular set of dao marks or path giving them a major

advantage in that path.

5. some animals form symbiotic relationships with the wild Gu known as Beasts.

6. The fate of everyone living in this world is controlled and written by fate

Gu as heaven's will

7. Only those connected to the outer path that is connected to something not

belonging to this world can resist the fate written for them by fate gu and

these people are known as otherworldly demons.

Aside from the information he gained from the basic pack, his inheritance was

also Godly, although not in form of instant benefit but its potential is

nonetheless exceptional.

Matching with his guess the inheritance he got was related to the Oldest One

from Lord Of Mysteries and rather than the Beyonder characteristics what it

contains is information and methods.

After an overall study of inheritance, a lot of things became clear to him.

According to the inheritance, any world in the Chaotic Void / Outer verse or

existence has an essence that represents the world.

It could be rules or laws that governed the world, Laws that represent its

working, skills rooted in beings living in it, and in the Gu world what

represents its essence are different dao marks, and Gu that inhabit this world

are nothing more than a collection of these dao marks given life and will.

What inheritance gave him is basic dao marks that represent the twenty-two

paths in the Lord Of Mysteries and refinement methods that allow him to upgrade

them all the way up to the rank of Oldest One.

According to what he knows now, these outer paths dao marks have the

properties of devouring, assimilating, adapting, and evolving.

What they do is devour the existing dao marks, assimilate the devoured marks

into themselves, adapt, and become part of the world maintaining its stability

and evolve to reach a higher rank.

When a mortal refine a Gu belonging to the outer path for the first time, the

outer path dao marks represented by the Gu assimilate themselves into the

mortal body and aperture mutating their physique to an artificial extreme

physique that can support that outer path, and although a mortal would be able

to use normal Gu they get forever bonded to their particular path.

It would have been the same for Fang Zheng had he chosen to reincarnate in an

already-born body but since decided to be born as a newborn, his soul was

darkness of the night, and complementing a bright band that consist of numerous

flickering lights.

These lights showed from tall buildings, signifying the yet-to-sleep people of

the Gu Yue Clan.

In the middle region of the Gu Yue village stood a tall building that contains

all the knowledge publically available to the general population of the Gu Yue

Clan.

A building visited by very few people even during the daytime much less at

night and yet today even at this late a night the light coming from it seemed

radiant.

It is the night of the next day when Fang Zheng started living with his uncle,

it wasn't anything special. As his uncle is gonna look after the fortune his

parents left behind until he and his brother reach adulthood and because of the

qualities both brothers showed, they were cordial enough to keep a facade of

good relatives.

After the introduction to the rest of the members of the household ie. the

servants' mother Shen and her daughter Shen Cui were finished, Fang Zheng

decided to be a bit more productive with his time.

Considering that one has to till they are 15 to awaken their aperture and the

sense and if Gu world was anything like the cultivation world he read in books

hope not otherwise face slapping would be a hard task ' thought Fang Zheng as

proceeded to return the book to get the next part. He is going to thoroughly

enjoy his time it seems.

asked the Gu Yue Clan Head, Gu Yue Bo

If one enters Gu Yue Clan at this time one would find it much quieter than

before, with people going about their business seemingly peaceful but only

those affected know of the darkness that had befallen it.

It happened a few days ago when after one of the regular meetings the Elders

of the clan let the hell lose on their clan.

The life that the children once used to live, the carefree days where they

only have to worry about basic education, everything got turned to ashes with

the arrival of Academic Achievement Rankings.

Just because of the two devils of the clan now every child, below 15 had to

The Inheritance gave him complete knowledge about the GUs, from their
