One of the orcs went over to the wolf while the other went over to the body of their dead teammate.
I decided to attempt to kill them to gain more XP. I waited until they were both distracted then started sneaking over.
I snuck behind the orc who was checking the body of the wolf and slit his throat with my sword.
His muffled screams managed to alert his teammate and he whirled around.
He roared at me and charged. I nimbly ducked under his arm and threw the sword, pinning the orc to a tree with the sword going through his shoulder.
He let out a guttural cry and shattered the sword with his bare hands enabling him to get free. He ran at me and we both stumbled to the ground.
He threw a punch at my head and I twisted to the side but his fist still glanced along the side of my forehead leaving me dazed. He threw another punch at my head but I caught it in my hand then headbutted him.
He roared. I headbutted him again, blood spurting all over my face. I spat the blood in his face and kneed him in the stomach.
While he was disorientated I used my legs to push him off me. I rolled to the side and sprung to my feet. I jumped backwards to avoid a kick to my stomach. I pushed his leg away and punched him in the stomach four times in rapid succession.
After the fourth punch, I felt a massive pain in my wrist. I stopped punching and moved back a few steps. I looked at my wrist and I saw bruising all around my knuckles.
I looked at the orc then back at my hand. If this is what happened when I punched an orc I didn't want to find out what it would be like on the receiving end of one.
While the orc was still dazed I looked around for a weapon I could use. I saw the broken pieces of the word and quickly went over and picked one up. I winced as it cut into my palm as I held it.
The orc shook his head then looked at me. He took a deep breath then charged again. This time I was ready and I sidestepped sticking the sword piece into his side as he ran past.
He turned around and roared, infuriated that he didn't hit me. He ran at me again and I did the same thing. However this time he stumbled and I swiftly plunged the sword into his neck over and over again.
He eventually slumped to the ground. I let out a deep breath as the body twitched on the ground, then was still. I looked for the loincloth I had used to wrap the cut on my hand as it had fallen off during the fight.
I dropped the piece of the sword on the ground, it having cracked even further during the fight.

I briefly looked at the notifications then resumed my search for the bandage. I saw it near the corpse of the wolf and walked over. As I was wrapping it around my hand I looked at the wolf. It was way bigger than any other wolf I had ever seen before and it looked to have bigger claws with serrated edges.
I finished wrapping my hand and lightly brushed the tip of my finger against the claw and it instantly started bleeding. I ignored the cut and looked for a way to rip out the claw to use as a weapon.
I looked around to see what I could use and saw the shattered remnants of the sword over by a tree. I walked over and picked up a few shards as carefully as I could.
I brought them over to the wolf and tried to carve the claw out. After a lot of effort and bleeding, both from me and the wolf, I finally had a suitable weapon. I stole another loincloth from an orc and used it to wrap the base of the claw so that my hand wouldn't get cut when I was wielding it.
As I was looking around for anything else I could use I noticed a light blue sparkle above the wolf's body, almost invisible in the daylight. I reached out to touch it and felt a warm tingly sensation down my spine.

I looked at the messages floating in front of me. I looked back over at the wolf and the light blue sparkle was gome.

I looked back over to the wolf then grinned to myself. "This increase in strength should make skinning you a lot easier"
About an hour later I stood up, flicked the blood off the claw and walked backwards to admire my handwork. In front of me lay seventeen perfectly cut wolf steaks with a large pelt lying beside them.
I wrapped the steak in the pelt then put it into a bag. I looked around to see of there was anything else I could take but there wasn't.
Once again I picked a direction and started walking, hoping I would find shelter.
