Seth stared at the Half-elven and chuckled. He thought she was joking, or she was somehow, finding a way to get to him. Of course, if any person was to be in his shoes, they were going to do exactly what Seth did because they knew that The Eye wouldn't foolishly expose her vision to anyone, not even to a weak newborn like her.
"Are you trying to fool me?" Seth asked. "If that's it, then you absolutely can't."
"No, I'm not, I'm really honest. I know what she said about your future, and about you being the creator with just writing, you are the Author the Lords have been looking for" the Half-elven said, putting on an innocent look.
The moment the word "creator with just writing" got into his ear, Seth had no choice but to believe that she had truly overheard the words of the foreseer. This time, he tried to calm himself and allow the Half-elven to speak.
His friend, the Penn Family's newborn was also sitting close to him, and this never him quite comfortable. Nonetheless, he still wanted to hear something from the Half-elven.
Seth knew a little about his future, which was the plot of his novel. But he didn't know the rest since he knew he didn't finalize the resolutions parts. It ends when Ryder — whom he had taken the place of — is cursed by the Demon God after being unable to perform the Personified Diety Ritual.
This was because, the abilities of all individuals would die off on the Celestial Festival — the day of the Personified Diety Ritual. When abilities die on that day, they are exchanged for powers that are privileged by the Personified God of different individuals. Since Ryder's God was unidentified, he couldn't have his God's power privilege, making him unrestrained for the unwilling acceptance of curses and attacks since his "Core Shield" died together with his ability on that day.
When people see the Celestial Festival as a day of blessing from their God, Ryder Faron, Seth's novel's main character sees his as a day of desperation.
Seth listened to the Half-elven, his somewhat curious look placed on her genuine face.
The car had already left the streets and was on the GFC–RTC highway. The sounds of whooshing and screeching rolled over the lanes, causing most newborns in different cars to panic. But for the car that Seth was in, it seemed as though it was a small moving graveyard.
Though they were not moving fast, and the Newborns in the car were okay with that. There were four Newborns in the car and a Master-ranked individual who was dressed like a trainer. She must be one of the Teachers in the Dormant Academy.
"She said that your future is complicated. Your future has branches, and you only have to follow one. That would be based on how you chose to face the impediments on your way," the Half-elven said.
"How can I follow the right branch?" Seth asked, worried. Of course, not many could know the right step to take in life.
"Being yourself... If you can be yourself and do the needful, you can follow the right path," the Half-elven said with a slight smile and continued:
"I know she was out of her senses. How can she assume that you are the creator of the Second Universe of Existence? That's never a word to think of. My father told me that the God of Gods created all natures, so why should an ordinary human be mistaken as a Creator by Writing? That's outlandish you know?"
"Yeah," Seth chuckled, "I can't believe she called me that. That's somewhat weird."
Seth pretended as though he didn't know what the foreseer had talked about. He was indeed, trying to let himself out of this mess. But, he already knew that it wouldn't be possible since he was trapped in this world, and would surely join them in the mishmash that would befall them.
"She also said that your wisdom might lead to the creation of a book, and that book might become the History Book 2. If you are planning to write anything, please do so, I would love to read a book other than the History Book," the Half-elven said with a friendly expression, her eyeballs placed on Seth as though she was watching a romance movie.
"Ummm, I'm not planning on writing anything. Actually, I was not a writer. I don't know why The Eye called me a Creator with Writing," Seth lied.
"Really? You aren't a writer in your previous life?" the Half-elven asked, stunned.
'You bitch, do you expect me to expose myself to you.'
"This is so complicated," the Half-elven said. "Anyways, let me tell you this: eyes are going to be on you when we get to the Academy. You'd better be careful, and always be curious or else the spies would easily get what they want from you."
"How do you come to know all this, are you a spy?" Seth asked putting on a curious look.
"I'm from the Watson Family, my father is the only Magus in the Golden Fox Clan, and also the Head of the Magi Council in the Northern continent. So that's why The Eye reported this case to him since the Lords are too remarkable to deal with things like that," the Half-elven said. "Just be careful, that's what I have to say."
"Sure."
After listening to the Half-even's warning, Seth nodded positively and glanced at the Penn Family's Newborn. The young chap's attention was totally drawn to the crowded highway, ignoring the conversation between Seth the Half-elven.
Seth sighed after a short gaze at his friend and looked forward. They were entering the Red Tiger Clan's gate, so everyone wouldn't have to be told to observe the environment.
As the car drove forward, they arrived at the academy in not less than twenty minutes after passing through the clan's gate. A building — as sufficient as a Type-1 construct — stood tall. The building was built in two sections, with a total of 16 stories.
Glancing forward through the backside of the building, a wide field could be seen.
'This should be the training field, I can't wait to use a sword,' Seth thought, staring at the fields without an intent to look away.
They stepped down from the car and walked towards the Acceptance Office of the Academy's Head. He could be called "Dean" officially. Seth, the Half-elven, and his friend were walking together. Truth be told, Seth didn't want to part ways with both of them.
The young chap from the Penn Family saved his life just yesterday, and Seth was never going to forget that. Then the Half-elven who just gave him some ideas about his ideas... Somehow, she might be of help. Maybe she could give him pieces of information about The Eye's conversation anytime she visits their home.
But now, he knew it was impossible because she had also left for the Academy.
******
Moments past, they were done with everything that was required for the entrance of the Academy. The requirements were simple: they only had to pay 6GC and 170SC to get an entrance card.
After this, they walked into the academy's territory. The place was crowded, so they had to hold hands as they walked. Seth was about to suffocate due to the heat and low amount of air, but with the help of the Half-elven who carried him on her neck, he was able to stay alive.
'Damn! Shameless me.'
They finally got to the main building where other acceptors stood, directing Newborns to their various classrooms. What was written on the card would determine the class in which the Newborn would join. Nevertheless, they were still the same. Classes were only made to avert overpopulation.
Seth checked his card, and it was written "B". Then the Half-elven checked hers, and it was written "C". The Penn Family's chap checked his, and it was also "C", leaving Seth dumbfounded.
"Why is mine different? This is not fair!" Seth yelled furiously without hesitation. He was really disappointed. Why the f**k is he going to part ways with them. Is this a joke or something?
"I'm sorry, but you are just unlucky. I heard that the Class C Teachers are the most experienced," the Half-elven said with a slight grin.
"I heard that too," Seth's friend commented.
'Crap.'
"Anyways, I think a lecture is about to begin, we have to go now," the Half-elven said and and took the lead towards the Class C room. The Penn Family's boy followed, leaving Seth behind.
"Are you—" Seth paused, remembering that he had to walk the other way since he is not a part of Class C.
He clenched his fist and turned in the direction of his classroom, his face aiming at the muddy floor.
Seth got into his class, the Class B teacher was about to start teaching so he had to quickly take a seat. Opening his eyes to see what was written on the board, his teacher began her lecture.
"I'm Kella, and I'm going to teach you guys the subject: Mystery. So today, we are going to talk about the topic: Legacy Of Gods."
'Huh! Is she going to teach about my novel?'
