Under the merciless sun, the shore transformed into a theatre of chaos and conflict, as two pirate crews clashed in a bitter struggle for supremacy. The once serene coastline was now marred by the remnants of their vessels, shattered wood and twisted metal protruding from the sand like the jagged teeth of some ancient sea monster.
" Ah... " Roar echoed the shore.
The sky hung heavy with the weight of impending violence, the air thick with the tang of salt and the acrid scent of gunpowder. Waves crashed rhythmically against the shore, an eerie backdrop to the symphony of battle that was about to unfold.
Tattered flags, patched with the marks of countless skirmishes, fluttered defiantly in the salty breeze. The crews, a motley assortment of rogues and misfits, stood on opposite ends of the beach, their faces painted with a mixture of grim determination and wild exuberance.
At the forefront of one crew, a formidable figure with a tangled mane of black hair and an eye patch over his left eye raised a cutlass high.
Captain Blackthorn, a name whispered with both reverence and dread across the seas, let loose a guttural roar that was met with a chorus of cheers from his crew.
They brandished their swords, their mismatched attire a testament to their free-spirited, lawless existence.
" My men forward! " The captain ordered as he pointed his sword at the enemies.
On the opposing side, a woman of undeniable presence stood tall, her fiery red hair catching the sunlight like flames dancing on water. Captain Scarlet, a legend in her own right, possessed an air of cool confidence that belied the storm that brewed within her.
Her crew, a loyal band of cunning marauders, raised their pistols and muskets with a unity that spoke of shared battles and unbreakable bonds.
As the crews charged towards each other, a cacophony of sounds erupted.
The clash of steel on steel reverberated through the air as cutlasses met in a deadly dance, the metallic symphony punctuated by the staccato rhythm of gunfire.
Sand churned beneath their boots as they fought for every inch of territory, the beach becoming a shifting canvas of chaos and determination.
Captain Blackthorn run, giving his all. His goal was to kill Captain Scarlet and retained his fame in this sea as the strongest.
He laughed filled with madness.
Arrow flew, piercing the air. It reached the neck of Captain Blackthorn.
" Ah. " His eyes popped out in surprise. He dropped his sword and tried to pull the arrow. He immediately turned, trying to order his men but his enemy's battle roar overlapped his trembling tone.
Another arrow shot through his head. Brain matters were scattered. The future Legend died on the unknown shore.
Thorn pirates saw all of this happening but they didn't stop. Their rage became even more intense.
Finally, the two enemies clashed.
***
It hurt.
Painful! It was as if he was stabbed in the head. It was more than just a stab.
It was dark. There was no light.
What is going on? Asher tried to move his limbs.
Fear.
It overwhelmed him for a brief moment.
Soon light entered the darkness. Life had entered into him. Only then he realized he was missing life.
Shook!
Asher immediately got up, holding his head. He felt wetness. It was warmth.
" Blood. " His eyes widened.
Ahh.!
A loud yell came from his back. Asher immediately turned around. He avoided the incoming blade narrowly.
Asher kicked the man. His feet hit the head. " Shit. "
What is happening? He was sleeping on his warm bed. But what the hell is happening?
Asher saw bodies of rough men and women laying. He ran.
His boot kicked the sand. The earlier man followed Asher, swinging the sword.
Arrow passes through Asher and hit the man.
Asher ducked and crawled. He was cursing and panicking.
He grasped for a breath. Sound disappeared. A kick rushed into Asher's face.
The force was strong enough to flip upside. Blood coming out from his nose, Asher coughed.
A foot landed on Asher's chest.
" Don't move, Pirate. " A bow was aimed at his face.
Asher panicked. " Oh. Slow down. I am not a pirate. " He yelled.
The light stopped him from seeing the person for a moment. But the shadow cast on the person.
Revealing the youth, her eyes were round and filled with anger.
Asher swallowed the saliva. His mind immediately worked.
Pirate. Gun smell. Wound. Arrow. Sword.
" I am not a pirate. " He repeated.
The girl frowned. Asher saw her hands slowly soften. " I don't believe you. "
Asher grimaced trying his best to show off his sweet smile. " Tell me what should I do to prove that I am not a pirate. " Asher demanded.
He responded fast.
The girl was silent for a moment. " Show me your back. Blackthorn and Scarlet crew had distant features. "
Asher nodded and slowly got up. He showed his back.
The girl nodded and dropped her bow but she never let her guard down. Suddenly she ran off to the forest behind her.
Asher was left alone with his thought. He slowly got up. Looking around he saw bodies everywhere stretching across the shore.
Salty air reached toward him.
He said to himself. " What the hell is going on? "
He scanned near him and saw a body laying beside him. He checked the body and found a sword and dagger. There was a pistol but no bullets.
' I should take this. ' Nevertheless he took the pistol.
He decided to leave the shore, this rampage on the shore would gather some attention from the authority. And he didn't want to be caught in that just yet.
Scratching his head, he left the shore following the girl from earlier. " Fuck it. "
