Her locks

The glow in my bracelet slowly flicker. The raging spirit calms down after her small talk with her children.

The cyclops bend down to look at me in the eye. She looks at me with her warm smile and said her last thank you before the twilight blue glowing butterflies start to emerge from her.

She had her last look at the flower bed before fully disappearing.

When she vanished, the sun was already rising. I planned to leave the forest as soon as possible, however, the forest was suddenly filled with loud horse galloping. Fan could hear from many miles away so I ask him what he could hear.

He said," I hear many people in armour?" his answer is short and sweet. "Anything else?"

"Guillaume's scent is the one leading..."

"O-okay..." He is going to kill me, isn't it? Technically I'm not back at home the entire day. He must be extremely worried...

We stay put at our location waiting for them to arrive. "They are here," Fan spoke monotonously. I look up to feel the tremor getting stronger and stronger.

"YOUNG MASTER!" A clear voice cut through all the sound produced by the surroundings. As if I have missed that same voice that annoyed me daily by being my alarm clock.

I quickly turn my head towards that same voice and almost let out a tear. "G-gwill...Gill!" I called out suddenly feeling emotional and ran towards him. He stops the steeds and dismounts a little further away knowing that young master will run towards him.

As soon as I saw Gill is getting closer, my tears uncontrollably flow out stinging my eyes. Gill opens his arms wide welcoming my hugs.

The group who followed Gill saw this and patiently wait for the moment to end, none of them dared to disturb. I hug his back while my face is digging into his abdomen. Gill gently pats my back soothingly.

Fan who was running behind me stop behind me. Berry who ran away was in the team of horses. He probably ran away to inform the Gill about my location. Gill then flicks my forehead. "Ouchie..." I let go and covered my forehead.

"Yes, that should teach young master not to sneak out at night. Do you know how worried I was? Are you in pain? I got some herbs to help with the pain."

"I-i am fine!" I could feel my face start to redden. In front of these many people, Gill just goes in full mother mode. SO EMBARRASSING!

"Let's go home and have a bubble bath." I look at him as if he was a god. I nodded steadfastly. Fan who was behind stood there silently like a statue.

"Do we have enough horses?" Gill yells out. Fan wanted to tell him he can walk but was stopped by me. " Alfie can give us a ride!"

Alfie who was watching all of this far away heard this tried to run away but was interrupted as I summon him on the spot.

"Alfie!" I hugged him. His growth is crazy fast as he is already about 3 years old yet his size still has not stabilised. He is about a head taller than me.

I put my face into his thick fluffy chest. He grunts when he felt my embrace.

"A ride please!" I look at Alfie with my round pleading eyes hoping to get his approval. Alfie stood proudly giving off a majestic aura.

He couldn't disagree which show that my tactic work. Through our connection, he was feeling restrained by the audience we currently have.

He groans and lay down on the floor allowing me to access his back. "Fan, get on!" I pat the extra space on Alfie's back. When I addressed him, the audience gasps in enviousness.

Gill looks at Fan as he narrows his brows. Fan somehow understood the atmosphere and decided to go for the safe route and reject my offer.

" I will ride Berry instead, thank you for worrying about my well being young master." Fan bow down generously.

Ah, a gesture from the East. How nostalgic. " Alright then, let us head back."

Alfie start gets up as Fan easily got on Berry. Alfie starts to stretch before sprinting away, the rest of the knights slowly follow suit.

I held on Alfie's fur as I could feel the breeze blows by. I turn my head to look back and noticed only Gill and Fan caught up to Alfie's speed.

The rest of the knights are tiny figures from my perspective and Alfie is not slowing down anytime. The time flies by really quickly when I was on Alfie's back, I did not even realise when we reach.

The same devastating welcome when I reach the entrance, I was reminded by Gill to change my steed before they start to put even more responsibility on myself.

I quickly change to Gill's steed and let Alfie back to his home. I hug him before he happily left. I sulk at Alfie's reaction when we parted.

The servants outside standing still waiting for us to return. Many of them put on a relief face when they see me perfectly fine. Ugh, classes will probably continue as if nothing happens. " Welcome back young master!" they all spoke in unison.

Before heading back to my room to rest, I head towards father's resting quarters to greet him. By the time I reach outside his room, I feel a dangerous aura inside his room.

I knock on his door and there wasn't any response. I was about to turn the doorknob but was interrupted by Rei as he flies over to rest on my hair.

"Let's go back! You seem so tired! Get some sleeep!" I stare at Rei weirdly. At he was doing this purposely...

I just listen to him and head back to my room to rest.

Meanwhile, inside father's room, Charles was caressing the grey locks that were cut from Aust and Avin's biological mother. The hair was placed in a luxurious box for jewellery but was replaced with her hair.
