Chapter 33: Scheme

"Eh!? H-He got it right?" said one of the men, all three of them burst out into cold sweat. Ken Hai was successfully able to complete all three questions, they couldn't believe it.

What they did was vow to the heavens and on their martial souls, to cultivators that is something incredibly serious, if they did such a thing in their minds, they could get away with it!

But they said it right in the open not only did they have witnesses, they had a great cultivator infront of them right now they didn't know what to do. Though that isn't the only consequence as the heavens themselves would punish them.

Nothing good comes to those who breaks a heavenly martial vow.

'Well that's what people in this world believe.... though I rather not test whatever the hell that's about, so I'll try avoid making one of those vows.' Thought Ken Hai.

The elder then looked over to the three who was studying still stuck there don't knowing what to do.

"What are you three doing here get out!" said the oldman startling the three. They all looked at each other confused but the oldman seemed to run out of patience as he flexed his cultivation.

"Didn't you make a vow to the heavens and on your martial souls, that you'd quit being an alchemist if this youngster here was a genius?! Now leave unless you make me cripple your cultivation for the martial vow!" he shouted as his aura spiked up and his killing intent slammed down on the three, like a mountain was on their backs.

Martial vow and Heavenly vows are different, if a martial vow is broken said person must cripple their cultivation and if someone breaks a heavenly vow something bad will happen to them and the thing is it can be anything.

'It seems that old man isn't to be messed with!' Thought Ken Hai as he too gulped a bit with a bit of stress trickling down his face, but a small smirk came onto his face. 'I can't wait to fight people at his level!'

Now scared the three immediately got up and reluctantly and ran as they reached the door, they stumbled and fell over each other before running pass the beauty in red who they were too scared to notice.

"Boy what is your name?" asked the oldman as he turned to our protagonist, Ken Hai bowed and replied "Ken Hai elder."

"This elder here apologizes it seems you really are a genius, I'll allow you to keep studying here, it would be a shame to lose your genius." said the oldman with a smile as he got up and went back to his desk.

Ken Hai cuffed his fist and bowed before returning back to his studying. The girl dressed in red then looked on.

"So his name is Ken Hai." she whispered looking on at said sharingan user she couldn't help but blush. Said girl immediately shook her head and left in a hurry.

"Miss Hong are you leaving already? You tend to study a bit later?" said the receptionist as she looked on at the once used to be blushing mess of a girl.

"It is nothing. I've just decided to leave a bit earlier today." she replied "Ok then, but if I may ask why were those three running like they were a headless fire chickens?"

"Well-" The girl named Hong then explained everything that she saw shocking the receptionist.

"Eh! That youngster who's not even eighteen can memorise that much information!" shouted the receptionist. "Is this really true lady Hong?"

She nodded her head but her eyebrows furrowed in disappointment. "You do know you can just call me Hong Yu, Pai Min!"

"I'm sorry lady Hong but your the city lord's daughter, I would be offending the Hong family if I were to refer to you as an equal." Replied Pai Min.

Hong Yu couldn't help but sigh all her life people would treat her like she was made of glass and some princess that was to be pampered.

Which was why she was studying to become alchemist, she wanted to get out of the shadow her family name had on her.

A determine look shown in her eyes as she walked 'I'll definitely become a successful Alchemist!' she thought.

Elsewhere the three studying alchemist were now sitting under a bridge all depressed.

"Ah! Brother Lu what are we supposed to do!" said the first one.

"I want to get revenge on that stupid brat!" shouted the third, when suddenly a smile came onto his face, "Yes brother Si, brother Mao let's do that!"

"But if we do that then the old man would know it's us." said the second one named Mao.

"So what should we do?" said the first one, who named Si.

"Simple brothers we wait for a while, but we watch him to make sure to take care of him when he leaves the city. No one will blame us and they will just think he ran into a fairy powerful martial beast!" said Mao with scheming smile on his face.
