Caught!

Guards started to notice that something was amiss. They looked over seeing all of the thugs on the ground, some were foaming out of their mouths while others were still shivering.

"What's happening?" A Guard spoke after he spotted the situation with many others.

"You three, go and check" A voice boomed from the house. It was deep and commanding.

"Yes Sir" The three guards saluted and started moving towards the barn.

Link was still laying there. He heard the voice coming from the house and saw the group of guards approaching.

<That voice, it was not enhanced with Mana. There's another powerful individual inside that place. This is too dangerous, Link. These people are planning something and i don't think we're strong enough to get in their way>

"Yeah, i'm starting to regret it a little now. We'll kill these three, hide them inside the Inventory and run" Link whispered as he peeked from behind the log.

The three guards wore armor from head to toe. They looked intimidating, and as they got closer Link canceled his plan. He knew that he can't take all three of them on by himself. They were not mere thugs he could swiftly kill, plus the Mana they were releasing was massive.

"You have another plan ready?" Link asked.

<Yes. Just follow my lead …>

The guards finally reached the spot. They started checking the Thugs one after the other. Confirming their deaths.

"Sir, they've been poisoned" One of the guards spoke to himself.

"What happened?" A voice faintly spoke from the guard's helmet.

"Most likely the food and drink were tampered with" The guard reported.

"If it was done now, then one of them is faking his condition. Find him and bring him to me" The voice commanded.

"Yes sir" The guard continued "And what if they resist?"

"Kill him" The voice spoke loudly, as if the man wanted Link to hear.

<Damn it>

"What's wrong?" Link asked.

<He knows>

After hearing what Zero said, Link Blinked straight away, appearing behind the barn. He started running as fast as he could, while blinking from a place to another.

"No one is following us, are you sure?" Link asked.

<Just focus on running, i think we got involved with some dangerous people>

Link frowned. He did not understand why Zero was overreacting, but he trusted her and did not stop.

Wosh!

Suddenly, an arrow flew right past Link. If it was a few centimetres to the right, the arrow would have ended Link on the spot.

"What the fuck" Link muttered as he was Blinking from left and right each time appearing in a different spot "How did they catch up?"

Wosh! Wosh!

Arrows flew past him, destroying the trees in their way. It seemed like they were powerful cannon balls looking at the state the trees ended up in.

Link did not hesitate or stop, he Blinked and appeared in two spots. It looked like his twin joined him.

<That's smart, keep going>

Link activated 'Shadow Walk' as his clone and himself kept zigzagging around the place. They stood in a straight line, while Link was in front of his clone as it copied his every move.

Link's Mana was being used non stop. He had 'Shadow Walk', 'Shadow Clone', 'Superior Harden', 'Ambush' and 'Air Boost' on while Blinking all over the place.

<What are you doing?>

Blergh!

An arrow flew right through the clone, tearing him apart with ease. Link couldn't hear Zero anymore, he was too focused on his surroundings.

He summoned another Clone and repeated the same thing over and over again.

The forest was eerily quiet, Link couldn't hear any insects or birds. The Creatures vanished while the full moon shone from the starry sky.

<Danger Detected, Dodge To The Left>

A message appeared, and as it commanded Link listened.

Wosh!

A wave of powerful air passed by where Link was. Destroying everything in its way. Messages kept appearing as Link dodged air, fire and water waves that would have put him in a critical state.

"Not bad" A voice spoke from the back. It was a woman in a beautiful dress, it looked like she was at a party, her attire fluttered in the wind as she glided on the trees.

"What the fuck is happening?" Link muttered. He looked back, seeing the woman with 3 more people.

One of them was the archer Link saw in the house's window, and the rest wore armor from head to toe.

"Hey kid, we'll catch you anyways. Why not surrender now and make it easy on us?" The archer spoke, firing another arrow.

"How about you stop and let me be?" Link shouted back.

"No can do, you killed our little mutts. You need to pay for that" The woman in the dress spoke.

"Come on, those trash would have found it difficult to kill a dying old man. How about I give you guys a couple of gold coins and call it even?" Link yelled back.

"No need, we want you instead" The archer yelled.

Link sighed. He knew that he was no match for these people. Even with his speed, the distance between him and them did not seem to change one bit as time passed.

<We messed up. We should have retreated when we found out they were no Bandits>

"Damn it" Link muttered as he stopped running.

"You finally give up?" The archer asked.

"Giving up sounds bad, let's call it a truce" Link smiled politely.

"Truce? Sounds good" The woman in the dress spoke "He's interested in you anyways"

"Who?" Link asked.

"You'll find out soon enough" The archer spoke. That was when everything went dark for Link. He lost his balance and fell.

"That took a while, this kid is impressive" One of the armored guards spoke.

"And he's quite good looking too" The woman in the dress said as she took off Link's makeshift mask.

"Lilia, he looks way too young for you" The archer spoke, she looked at the 2 guards and commanded "Carry him, we need to go back, this brat withstood my spell for too long, we got too far from the camp"

"Is this him?" A man wearing fancy clothes stopped in a hallway, he looked at Link and spoke.

"No we got a different kid. Of course this is him" Lilia frowned and walked past the man.

"You will show me some respect sooner or later" He muttered as he kept walking.

Lilia and the other 3 went inside a room, they set Link down and bowed towards a man sitting on a chair staring through a window.

"Wake him up" He commanded.

"Yes sir" The archer saluted and started casting something. An odd symbol floated and landed on Link's head, jolting him back to consciousness.

"Where am i?" Link asked, looking around.

"You killed them" The man spoke, still looking away.

"Oh haha" Link forced a small laugh out "I used the wrong bottle. I thought it was the spice bottle. Sorry about that" Link scratched the back of his head.

"You think this is the time for jokes?" The man said, turning to look at Link.

The man looked young, but the scars on his neck and face said otherwise. His hair was smooth while his clothes looked formal.

"No, but i thought this was a camp of thugs and ruffians. I just wanted to make a quick coin" Link said, looking around the place.

"Zero, Sell High Jump, Float and Heat Vision then buy the Skill we saw the other day" Link thought to himself.

<Got it>

<New Active Skill: Recollection>

<Recollection: Allows the User to Teleport to anywhere, as long as it was visited before. Even if the User was on the other side of the world, you can come back in seconds. As long as enough Mana was provided>

"A quick coin huh?" The man said "I can offer you that, if you can do something for me" The man smiled.

"What do you want me to do?" Link asked.

"You're from Yanda City are you not?" The man asked

"Yeah, what of it?" Said Link.

"If you can manage to get us some information about their patrols and some other things, i'll pay you handsomely"

"What makes you think I would come back if I leave?" Link asked

"Haha" The man laughed "I'm not that stupid" He continued "I have a Soul contract here, sign it and you can go"

Link saw a paper with Mana Particles floating around it. He looked at the man one more time before he stood up and approached the paper.

Link put his hand on the paper slowly, but he quickly sent it into his Inventory.

"Sorry buddy, I'm not ready to commit yet" Link spoke.

"How dare you" The archer yelled, taking a step forward.

Wosh!

Link suddenly vanished in an instant. The area around his spot was distorted, like space itself was torn.

"What was that?" Lilia asked, frowning."I can't detect him anywhere"

"Interesting" The man Spoke.

Argh!

Link started vomiting the instant he appeared. The Jump felt extremely uncomfortable and nauseating.

<You ok?>

"Yeah" Link answered "That was close"

<Who would have thought your non stop search of a way to go back home would save you>

"Never mind that, how much Mana did we use?"

<4 000 Mana. You're vomiting not because of the Skill, but because you used most of your Mana while running and i had to take some off of your HP to successfully cast it>

"Ok. I need some rest, we'll talk tomorrow" Link muttered, falling in bed.
