Sport Festival Part 3: The King's Game: Kaito's Genius Idea.

[Third person POV]

It was the time, the 15 minutes have passed, the maze was completed and the contestants were in different locations.

'I really hope that he doesn't do anything drastic.' Thought Midnight.

"And now, ladies and gentlemen, the second round of the sports festival!" presented Midnight.

With that every student was aiming to steal some badges, everyone knew that from the 42 contestants only 16 with the highest number of points would pass onto the next round, so they had to do their best.

'Something feels off about the ground.' Thought Juzo Honenuki from class 1-B.

'I must be imagining things.' He discarded the thought and focused on getting badges.

"Where are you? Shitty swordsman!" yelled Bakugo. "Are you afraid?!"

'Since he chose "that" baby then he must be "there" but I wont mess with him just yet.' Thought Mei.

'Kaito-san too smart to just let himself be a prey, where could he be hiding?' Midoriya.

One by one the encounters in the maze started. Midoriya stole Mineta's badge, Aoyama tried to steal Tetsutetsu's badge but failed, Bakugo got a bunch of badges while wandering.

Everything was survival of the fittest, the only question was, where is the king?

'Strange, the trackers in the badges say that he is in the middle of the stage, so why isn't he there?" Midnight wondered.

Midoriya encountered Jiro and tried to steal her badge but she dodges.

"Wow, it seems that even you get motivated for these things huh, Midoriya." Said Jiro.

"Of course, but I'm trying to test this new technique I developed."

"So, I'm your guinea pig? sorry Midoriya, it seems someone is here having a bone to pick with you." Jiro pointed behind Midoriya.

Midoriya looks behind and sees an enraged Bakugo.

"If that shithead is not here then I guess I'll take you down Deku!" declared Bakugo.

Midoriya noticed that Jiro already left and that he was in a pinch, so he uses his breathing to control OFA and runs away from Bakugo. Even though there is a rule against hurting other students, Midoriya is still scared of Bakugo, so he makes a run for it.

'It hurts, even with the breathing technique my legs still hurt, I can't believe that Kaito-san has to deal with this daily. Kacchan will catch up to me any moment, I have to think about a way to escape.' Thought Midoriya.

While Midoriya was fleeing, Jiro decided to search for Kaito.

'Where are you Kobayashi? I know for a fact that you would never bail on the role as a king, so what was your plan?' Jiro tried to use her quirk to listen through the walls but the sound around her made her incapable of listening anything.

'Not good enough, guess I'll have to luck myself out.'

Meanwhile, Hitoshi Shinso was already getting his sixth badge.

'Kobayashi Kaito, what are you planning?' Shinso thought.

Suddenly Mei came by and snatched 3 of Shinso's badges.

"Thanks for these, sorry but I have to get to the 3rd round to sell off my babies!" and Mei disappeared before Shinso could put her into his control.

"Tch! I let my guard down. Now I have to steal more badges." Shinso ran looking for some badges.

The competition was fierce, Ojiro snatched with his tail, Shoji with his arms, Mineta made a comeback sticking a bunch of students together and taking their badges.

Aoyama had to retire due to stomachaches, so there were only 41 students left. Uraraka managed to snatch more than enough badges to pass but then Monoma steals them using the Poltergeist from Reiko Yanagi.

Midoriya was losing strength and tripped over some odd shaped mark in the floor.

'What did I step in?' Thought Midoriya.

"I GOT YOU NOW DEKU!" Bakugo was reaching Midoriya.

'Crap! Kacchan is definitely going to catch me now! Wait! I remember that Kaito-san once told me "Midoriya, remember this no matter where I am fighting, I can fight anywhere, be it sea, sky and of course…" UNDERGROUND!'

"WAIT KACCHAN! I KNOW WHERE KAITO-SAN IS!"

Bakugo stops and grabs Midoriya by the shirt collar.

"WHERE IS HE?!" Asked/yelled Bakugo.

Bakugo's scream was so loud that everyone heard them.

"OH!? It seems that Kobayashi Kaito has been hiding somewhere in the maze to prevent getting into unnecessary fights, how cowardly!" Present-Mic.

"You shouldn't say stuff like that. Either way it is a solid strategy." Commented Aizawa.

"He has hidden underground!" Yelled Midoriya.

He made it seem as if he was just afraid of Bakugo, but in reality, he wanted to divert attention from him and focus it on Kaito.

"But how did he did it?" asked Shinso that was nearby.

"I shall answer that!" Mei jumped from a wall of the labyrinth and started to explain how Kaito did it.

"Kaito took the baby #24, it is a pair of tambo-looking sticks, however, in reality they have a mechanism that transforms them into claws. These claws are extremely strong, he must've used them to dig underground." Mei explained.

'That explains why I felt the ground weird, when I made the ground soft, I noticed the small space that was not solid, tch I get that for ignoring it.' thought Juzo.

"But how can he survive underground for so long?" Asked Jiro

At this point everyone was hanging around as if the competition was over.

"Don't tell me that you didn't notice?" Mei asked.

"He never stored Nezuko back, right?" Midoriya said.

Everyone remembered Kaito calling Nezuko, but never storing her back into her own dimension.

"Correct! He has Nezuko with him, and inside Nezuko he has enough resources to survive for years, so he might never come up here." Mei.

"Woah! In a change of events, the student Kobayashi Kaito buried himself to prevent any type of confrontation!" Present-Mic.

[20 Feet underground.]

'Oh man, they found out.' Thought Kaito with an oxygen tank and a cellphone.

'Well, there's nothing I can do about it, so I might as well taunt them jeje.'

Using his hacking skills, he hacked the speakers again and started talking.

(He didn't just trained swordsmanship, he learned allot of different abilities, biology, laws, chemistry and of course he teach himself how to hack.)

"H-hello? Testing, testing, all right good. Hi everyone!" Kaito's voice came out from the speakers.

"Indeed, I am underground! How do ya like that, huh?"

"COME HERE AND FACE ME SHITTY SWORDSMAN!" Demanded Bakugo.

"Nah, I'd rather sleep here, it's kinda cozy."

"Really? Or are you scared?" Shinso taunted him.

'This son of a gun, he thinks I don't know what he is thinking, lets just ignore it.' thought Kaito.

Suddenly the 40 other students started calling him a chicken and taunt him. Kaito, who wanted to be the one to taunt, got taunted instead.

"ARGH! MIDNIGHT-SENSEI! HOW MUCH FOR THE 2ND ROUND TO FINISH!?" Asked a pissed Kaito.

"10 Minutes, why?"

"Please allow the students to fight each other during these 10 minutes remaining, since I'm not breaking any rules, I can remain here as long as I want, can't I? Dear classmates, agree and fight me, or don't and I relax, either way I win." Kaito had an evil grin.

Some students gulped. But the majority agreed and now were waiting for Midnight to decide. Nezu agreed and the 2nd round paused.

"Ok the principal agreed, however there are some rules; first: no major injuries, second: no attacking students without badges and third: You specifically Kobayashi, cannot use any weapon with edge, only blunt weapons."

"ALL RIGHT! MEET ME AT THE CENTER OF THE STAGE I'LL BE THERE IN 2 MINUTES, DON'T CHICKEN OUT ON ME NOW!" Kaito yelled and his voice went out from the speakers.

The audience felt chills, the quirkless student wanted to face everyone and win, some were in disbelieve and others were terrified for the attitude he has.

One after another everyone went to the center of the maze while looking at the timer, from the initial 10 minutes it went to 9 minutes to 30 seconds, each second felt like an eternity, some believed that Kaito is the prey, but his class knew that he is a hunter.

The truth of the matter is that they agreed to face Kaito, to test themselves and their abilities against the strongest in their class.

'I can't believe I got reverse uno'd, I guess that's the reason why the author took out the "HIGH IQ" tag from this fan-fic.' Thought Kaito.

After breaking the 4th wall, Kaito was near the surface and everything was trembling, each time stronger, and then the countdown began.

"OK! Everyone, lets begin this countdown to see this student appear!" Present-Mic.

"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1! 0!"

*BOOM*

From the center of the labyrinth a silhouette came out, Kaito had his sports attire but he also had a ton of fire arms strapped around him. He aimed at everyone and spoke.

"Chill, they are blank bullets, however…" Kaito shoots at Shinso's arm and he falls back.

"They are quite strong; you wanted a chicken? TOO BAD, YOU GET A COCKATRICE!" Yelled Kaito and started shooting those with badges.

The only ones safe where Mineta, who didn't had Badges, Mei, who had enough badges but went into hiding to prevent being a target, and Aoyama, who was out of stage.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! EAT THIS MORONS!" Kaito was going berserk but eventually he was out of bullets.

"TCH! I'll use this then." He takes out 2 wooden katanas and rushes at Bakugo.

"Come here shithead!"

"Hunter Breathing Fourth Form: Nitoryu Ogi: sanzen Sekai!" Kaito rotates his swords and kept dashing towards Bakugo, in a second Kaito surpasses Bakugo and he crashes to the ground.

Bakugo was grunting on the floor and had a small bruise shaped like an X with a line in the middle.

"I am proud of you 1-A, in reality you guys wanted to be tested by me, right? Otherwise, most of you would've rejected this."

Class 1-A knew that Kaito was stronger than them, he surpassed them in everything, and due to that they decided to surpass him during the sports festival.

"I'll show you…the results of my efforts." Kaito sheathed one of his swords and dashed towards the other students. (He has his badge in his chest BTW.)

One by one the students tried to take his badge, but failed. Bakugo sent a big explosion but Kaito cut it in half. Todoroki froze him but Kaito escaped using Shivering and sliced him.

(To be clear, every action such as "slash" and "cut" are just to have an idea, he isn't using a weapon with edge.)

5 minutes passed since Kaito came out from his hiding place, he didn't steal a single badge but never lost his, Midoriya was fighting him now, punch after punch Kaito evaded and then kicked Midoriya in the gut.

"Good pace, horrible technique though. We should fix that after this." Kaito said to Midoriya.

Yaoyorozu tried to use weapons against him, but Kaito deflected the blanks and overpowered her in strength.

"The weapons are good, the strength to hold them, not so much."

Iida started a barrage of kicks but Kaito did the same, Vegito style.

"Good strength and speed, but missing the appropriate footwork."

Tsuyu immobilized Kaito with her tongue and Iida kicked him in the face.

The crowd cheered after seeing such display, Iida tried to take Kaito's badge but received a punch from Kaito.

"Never assume that your enemy can be taken down so easily Iida, and you Tsuyu, your tongue is not the best thing to capture villains, since they could bite it…" Kaito's mouth gets near Tsuyu's tongue and she lets him free while having a blushed face.

'I thought I was a goner; I almost faint from that possible indirect kiss.' Thought Kaito while looking unfazed in the outside.

"All right shitty swordsman, here I come!" declared Bakugo rushing to Kaito.

"AND TIME!" Announced Midnight.

Aizawa activates his quirk and Bakugo falls to the ground. He gets up and yells "DAMMIT!" like usual.

(After a few minutes)

"So, based in the amounts of points, these 16 students are the ones passing to the 3rd round!" Midnight points at the screen and shows some names.

1. Kobayashi Kaito.

2. Katsuki Bakugo.

3. Shoto Todoroki.

4. Eijiro Kirishima.

5. Fumikage Tokoyami.

6. Midoriya Izuku.

7. Ochaco Uraraka.

8. Mei Hatsume.

9. Tenya Iida.

10. Mina Ashido.

11. Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.

12. Hitoshi Shinso.

13. Ibara Shiozaki.

14. Yaoyorozu Momo.

15. Neito Monoma.

16. Hanta Sero.

The crowd cheered at the students that won, after the second round the opinion about Kaito changed, the quirkless student gained some fame after defeating his opponents with different techniques and his keen intellect.

'I should take him to a therapist.' Thought Kobayashi Kaia when she saw Kaito's bloodthirsty face.
