A Slip Up

Aiming right for her chest, Xilo wanted to stab her heart and end this as quickly as possible. "Just die." However right before his dagger fell he noticed something weird. "Why does she look happy?" Staring at Tearia as her hair turned from red back to purple Xilo got lost in her eyes along with her smile for a split second as his dagger ended up sinking into her leg instead. ".....Tearia." Finding some ease in his chaotic thoughts he tried to grasp on to that as he heard her voice enter his ears even if it sounded a little weak.

"Xilo..."

"...."

He wanted to yell at her and tell her off at that moment but everything got stuck in his throat. "Why does...she seem so different." Back in Belturn she seemed kind of like a sassy little sister who demanded his attention but now she seemed like a woman. "What's happened and why?" He didn't quite know and didn't know if I had the want to even ask right now. He just wanted to hate her, nothing more and yet her smile captured him.

"If you want to kill me, go ahead."

Wincing through the pain she felt in her leg she tried her best to appear calm and brave but a small part of her still remained scared, scared that he'd reject her once again. "How can I make it up to him?" She had been thinking about it for a long time but now that Xilo was before her she didn't think any of the things she had come up with before would do the trick. "Saying sorry doesn't mean much either and with his current condition, He needs comfort...but not from me, Where's Xelfia?" That question plagued her mind as she felt her blood dripping down her leg.

"....."

"I see, If you don't want to talk to me that's fine too, I get it after all."

"I...hate you."

"haha, I know that much."

However it still brought her pain to hear it but she did her best to hide it. Digging in his dagger deeper as timed past Xilo started to feel his thoughts calm down more as his reasoning took over again. "What am I doing?" Scolding himself he felt his grip on his dagger loosen a little bit. Xilo might have hated Tearia quite a bit but there wasn't time he had thought about killing her because of it but here he was now with a dagger in her leg and hate filling his mind. "What's happening to me, Am I really this weak and pathetic without Xelfia?" He felt ashamed of himself at that moment but he didn't know what else to do. His whole journey here he had felt incredibly weak and those thoughts were only getting constantly reinforced as he travelled. "I need strength...any of it." Feeling a hand touch his cheek he froze for a second he gripped his dagger again and looked at the woman holding him.

"Tearia."

"Hey, Xilo...Answer me this question?"

hesitating she looked into the chaotic fire of his eyes as she tried to find the question she wanted to ask but her courage had basically left her. "Come on, just get out with it." Trying to psyche herself up she tried to voice the question she wanted to ask as she barely opened her mouth. Unfortunately for her the question she wanted to ask never came to her instead she made a mistake while lost in her self doubt and struggle.

"What?"

".....Where's Xelfia?"

In that second time froze as Xilo registered the question and anger came flying back into his mind while he gripped his dagger and pulled it out before stabbing her again. "Shut up!" shouting that in his head, he didn't know what to say or how to even react properly to that as his dagger dug into her skin again. "Ouch." Looking at how Xilo reacted and hearing her words come out of her mouth she knew she had made a mistake. "Once again, I failed him and even myself." That wasn't even close to the question she wanted to ask and yet somehow that was the only thing she could say. "I'm an idiot." Looking at all this from afar, Felli panicked seeing Xilo start to go crazy again after Rose's question and instantly trapped him again. "Haa...of course it wasn't that simple." Staring at the girl she knew as Rose she debated in her head what to do next before finally sighing.

"I'll trust her, this once."

Sighing, she unleashed all of her space energy she could as she teleported herself and Tearia out of the room leaving Xilo there all by himself as he anguished yells rang in their eardrums. "That necklace...I know it." Feeling her energy drain they appeared in another room a little ways away from that room safe. Meanwhile Xilo with no target longer in sight crushed down his ice wall looking for anyone. However the only person he found was Lexi in the hallway.

"Oh? what's this."

Feeling her body go back to normal, Tearia looked around the empty room where Xilo no longer was as regret filled her mind. "I'm an idiot, idiot, idiot why in the world did i say that, but more importantly why he did react like that?" Xilo was not an irrational person from her memory so that means something had happened to Xelfia and her asking that set him off once again. "That or I don't know him as well as I thought I did...." Either way she hade made a pretty big mistake that just pushed them further apart.

"Why Did I do that..."

"Indeed, I'd like to ask the same of you Tearia."

Hearing Felli's voice enter her ears suddenly along with her actual name a wave of panic travelled up her spin as she looked up to the see the black haired girl staring down at her refusing to let go of her gaze.

"Oh you're here Felli, forgot about that."

"I see, Well you got some explaining to do."

Enjoy.
