State your farewell, stash your resources, and sharpen your blades, for it's the age of apocalypse. Technological worlds, fantasy worlds, mythical worlds, cultivation worlds, etc. all face an apocalypse these days. But this isn't natural. Having suffered in a looping apocalypse for 48 lifetimes, Rhizen establishes an intergalactic force to clean up all apocalyptic worlds, vowing to destroy the ender of everything, the Grade-3 System...Apocalypse! To stand against it were the band of broken heroes, once pitiful souls, but now grouped as vengeful victims, naming themselves… The Post-Apocalyptic Dispatch Society!
Three hundred metres…two hundred…eighty…forty…twenty…
The sheer volume of water approaching them was terrifying, containing enough power to mow through everything in its path, murky black in colour due to everything it had washed through, containing countless debris.
Even Rhizen was nervous while staring at this. For, even though he was a Stage 9 Mystic Human, he couldn't go against nature on his own. He hadn't reached such a level yet.
"Hopefully, it's enough." He muttered, watching the Tsunami approach the transparent wall he had erected, losing power as its kinetic energy too was being rapidly absorbed to strengthen the wall further. This was the advantage of Static Force.
But, he had attained the limit of his power soon enough as the wall stopped absorbing any more kinetic energy. The Tsunami crashed into it and for a moment, the roars of the ocean subsided when…
B-Boom!
A muffled sound resounded before a dense volume of vapour spread out into the air. The discharged force was enough to directly convert the ocean water into vapour, sending it flying into the cloud, containing a fairly dense level of Nacre.
The unleashed force travelled through the wall of water, rapidly slowing down the approach of the tsunami as the water body touched Yonka City wall at speeds less than three metres per second.
There was a minor rumble due to the impact as everyone heaved a sigh in relief. But a few seconds later, the Mystic Humans that had erected the External Item of Castle Wall grunted in exertion as the water currents speed up.
Rhizen's attack only put a dent in the speed at the tip of the water body. And once it moved past, the faster water currents slammed into the city walls, causing it to creak in response as debris of all shapes and sizes slammed into it, beginning to dent it.
Moreover, the dense stream of corruption in the water was alarming as it began to dig into the walls.
Almost a dozen metres on the surface were covered by the layer of water, with a dense corruption while the rain brought down corruption with every drop. And finally, the lightning bolts unleashed by the thundercloud too were the same.
Immediately, Yonka City was cut off from the rest of the cities on the surface, hit by the peak of the Heaven's Will Scheme.
And as disasters erupted in or nearby other cities, it wasn't possible to expect any reinforcements in the meantime, truly placing Yonka City in a predicament.
Roar!
The Aberrants within the ocean water roared as they attacked the Castle Wall, beginning to damage them rapidly.
"Dwun!" Rhizen shouted in response, frowning as his attacks were mostly drowned out by the rain and ocean water. And any strong attacks he unleashed were countered by the lightning bolts, impeding him.
"On it!" Dwun shouted as he jumped from the rooftop of the building he was upon, proceeding to the edge of the city as he said, "But, I need a lot of Nacre for the initial setup."
"I'll take care of it, just go," Rhizen said, unfurling his wings that carried him towards the city centre. Landing on the Pearl Buck, he closed his eyes, gradually riling up his Nacre as the Pearl Buck hummed in response.
And with that, he transmitted his power through it, causing it to head deep into Pearl Buck's roots before affecting the entire region.
Fusion Arts—Devouring Heaven!
Boom!
All the Aberrants in the water screamed in pain before falling limply, carried by the water currents as for a moment, the water turned crystalline, sucked of all its corruption.
The corruption in the water and underground, present in a radius of fifty kilometres surrounding Yonka City was instantly devoured by Rhizen through Pearl Buck, grunting in pain as he transformed into the All-Devouring Whale that now resembled a gigantic serpent.
And, appearing within its body was a dense sphere of corruption, rapidly converted into Nacre that was supplied to the Pearl Buck, instantly raising the quantity of Nacre within Yonka City, so much so that most Horned Humans felt difficulty in breathing.
"Hahaha!" Dwun laughed as he exited Yonka City and plunged deep into the water beyond, arriving at the ground as he brought out a tiny cylinder before plunging it into the ground.
External Item—Grassmen Nest (VIII)!
Boom!
The tiny pearl-like cylinder exploded to become a thirty-metre-tall tree that peaked out of the water, its branches bulging in response before birthing hundreds of Grassmen that landed in the water.
They latched onto the weakened Aberrants as roots gushed out of their bodies and burrowed into the Aberrants, rapidly sucking in all nutrients to leave behind withered husks.
The Grassmen were empowered as a result, able to fight against stronger Aberrants as they continued to grow in this manner, clearing out the weakened Aberrants en masse.
Instantly, the situation regarding Yonka City was stabilised to a certain extent. After all, the Grassmen Nest was heavily energy-draining.
After using the excess Nacre to quickly set up itself, it began to drain the region of the corruption, causing the damage by the water to diminish on Yonka City.
"How are the other cities faring…?" Rhizen asked in a hurry, worried as he gazed at the thundercloud that was unaffected by everything.
"Bad, they have all taken substantial damage…" Yulna had just begun to speak when suddenly, a breach formed in Yonka City's barrier; a bolt of lightning slammed between them, sending them flying away as two entities appeared in the centre of Yonka City.
"What the heck?" Rhizen oriented himself quickly, staring in shock at the Celas that had appeared, pouncing towards him immediately.
"Tch!" He grunted in anger, unleashing a hail of poisoned stingers toward the Celas. In the meantime, his wings flapped, causing all the feathers to fly towards the breach and seal it up first.
With that, the rain couldn't fall into the city as the barrier quickly healed the gap while the surrounding Dust Wave formed a second layer of defence.
The Celas had personally taken action to unleash that bolt of lightning, managing to easily poke a hole into the barrier through which it and the blob of corruption entered.
"Shika! Take care of the other one!" Rhizen shouted, transforming into a Whale when he was sent flying by the Celas that was stronger than the previous one.
Apocalyptic Arts—Static Force (V)!
The moment the Celas was about to slam into the Whale again, the air around it stilled in response as immediately after, a terrifying force slammed into its horns, sending it reeling into the ground.
Apocalyptic Arts—Dust Wave (IX)!
"Grrah!" The Celas flinched as its insides began to burn up, for everything it inhaled or moved through became dangerous. The Dust Wave began to destroy its skin and internals little by little, slightly stronger than its innate defence.
Dust Wave alone wasn't enough to wound it severely, but in this case, it was enough to tip the scales in his favour as the Whale's flippers transformed into gigantic vulture-like wings while its body gradually elongated further into that of a serpent.
Its tail then transformed into a scorpion's, brimming with a terrifying poison as the stinger slammed into the Celas, melting through its defences to inject the poison into its body, rapidly affecting it.
Moreover, the stinger suddenly unleashed countless spikes, with each melting through the corruption.
Roar!
The Celas roared in response as lightning arched across its body, slamming into the Whale to send it flying. The Celestial Armour covering it was almost charred black from the attack, with some regions already in tatters.
Huff!
The Celas rapidly healed its injuries and began to emanate corruption into its surroundings, instantly turning hundreds of Horned Humans into Aberrants, of a stronger kind that began to attack other people.
"Heup!" Shika bellowed as countless arrows flew across the place, killing all the Aberrants before suppressing the corruption seeping into the surroundings.
The Pearl Buck too shone in response, continuing to suppress it further while the Celas itself felt a tad sluggish.
But at this time, the blob of corruption arrived behind Shika, unleashing a bolt of lightning that slammed into her, sending her flying towards the Celas that clamped onto her.
Shika barely managed to transform into a snake and slip through the gaps in its teeth—before they were closed shut. A second late, and she would be dead.
Boom!
But immediately after, the Celas created a sphere of corruption that exploded, sending her flying towards Rhizen as the Celas leapt into the air, crashing into the two, keeping them occupied.
"Dammit!" Dwun noticed the situation within Yonka City deteriorating; he wished to reinforce them immediately. But right as he moved, thousands of Titan Aberrants surrounded him, attacking him with reckless abandon, preventing him from arriving to their help for the time being.
"Haha, great!" The blob of corruption laughed jovially as lightning bolts slammed onto the city barrier nonstop, breaching it from time to time as even though they lost most of their power, they were still strong enough to hold back the Stage 7 Mystic Humans.
And with Rhizen, Shika, and Dwun held back, it had free reign, "It's time."
Saying so, it slammed into Yulna, gushing into her body as the latter screamed in pain, her skin peeling off in response as her Origin Space was the first to suffer the brunt of the damage, rapidly causing her Nacre to be expended as corruption filled it completely.
The blob of corruption was composed of almost fifty percent of the corruption that was in the world itself. There was no way Yulna could handle something of such a scale, something only the likes of Rhizen could handle.
"Saint!" Yulna extended her hand, screaming in despair as her consciousness blanked out.
