The group of Ghost-Type Pokémon who had remained unscathed by the Precipice Blades attack could hardly bear to witness the devastating scene. They took several steps back, their eerie eyes fixated on the aftermath of the powerful assault.
Hu Yang, too, found himself astonished by the immense and terrifying power unleashed by Cramorant. He couldn't help but contemplate the destructive potential of such a force, especially if it were employed within a city. The consequences were almost unimaginable.
As he examined the colossal fissures left behind by the Precipice Blades, Hu Yang couldn't shake the strange sensation that crept over him. It felt as if Cramorant had acted as a last resort, intervening with its tremendous power when their lives were on the line.
Gengar's anxious voice broke through his thoughts, "Are you all right?"
Relieved to see Gengar still at his side, Hu Yang responded, "Where did you go?"
Gengar explained, "I've been with you all along. They simply suppressed my powers, making it impossible for you to see me."
Hu Yang recalled Roselia into her Poké Ball and expressed his gratitude to Gengar for the support.
Despite the recent upheaval, the situation was far from resolved. The Ghost-Type Pokémon, despite the attack, remained a spectral presence, observing them from a distance. Their malevolent intent was palpable, and it was clear that they harbored further intentions.
Suddenly, a chilling shift in the atmosphere sent a shiver through the surroundings. The temperature plummeted as an ominous and frigid aura permeated the area. The restless Litwicks, sensing this new presence, grew increasingly agitated.
Before they could escape, a powerful force held them in place. Emerging from the inky darkness was a totemic Pokémon, its gaze piercing and frigid as it settled upon the captive Litwicks. The totemic creature held them immobilized with an unyielding dominance.
Hu Yang, observing the enigmatic arrival, felt a wave of surprise. This Pokémon, this Totem Gengar, was beyond his expectations. His curiosity piqued, he activated his identification tool to learn more.

Totem Pokémon? Hu Yang mused, recalling that Totem Pokémon were typically associated with the Alola region's trials. They were larger in size and emanated a unique aura. While they summoned allies in the games, this Totem Gengar appeared to possess an aura that exerted a suppression effect on Ghost-Type Pokémon. It was a remarkable discovery.
Although he couldn't discern how Totem Gengar achieved this effect, the result was undeniable. With an imperceptible act of will, Totem Gengar released the captive Litwicks, allowing them to dissipate into the ether.
However, when Totem Gengar turned its attention toward the humans, Hu Yang felt a flicker of anxiety. Yet, the totemic Pokémon chose to communicate verbally rather than attack.
"I apologize," Totem Gengar spoke, its voice chillingly detached. "The captured humans are now safe."
This revelation left Hu Yang and the others bewildered, and their expressions reflected their astonishment.
In a calm but inquisitive tone, Hu Yang inquired, "We need an explanation."
Totem Gengar sighed, its gaze briefly drifting upward. When it returned its attention to the group, Hu Yang and Cramorant found themselves transported to an eerie, haunted mansion.
The mansion's foreboding doors swung wide open, revealing the sinister Ghost-Type Pokémon within, who fixated malevolent eyes upon Hu Yang and his companions. But before they could approach, the entrance sealed shut, trapping the ominous creatures inside.
Totem Gengar offered an explanation, "As you can see, I have confined them here. They managed to evade my vigilance yesterday and hypnotized me. Then, they managed to escape."
This incident posed a significant danger. "You must understand," Totem Gengar cautioned, "this is not a place for humans. You should leave."
As Totem Gengar's gaze fell upon Hu Yang, the two found themselves returned to their original location.
Upon returning to the group, Officer Jenny confirmed the safety of the missing individuals. "Are you all right?" she inquired, inspecting their condition. The confusion among those who had experienced the strange phenomenon was apparent.
Recollections of the eerie blue candlelight began to resurface. "I seem to have seen blue candlelight," some of them recalled.
Officer Jenny, after ensuring the well-being of everyone, decided to depart from the forest. Along the way, they stumbled upon the immense fissures left by Cramorant's Precipice Blades, filled with still-steaming and unsolidified energy lava.
Their confusion and relief led to inquiries about the unusual event, but no one could quite fathom what had transpired. It appeared that their encounter with the Ghost-Type Pokémon was a bizarre, ephemeral experience.
Hu Yang, among the crowd, patted Cramorant, who had now returned to its dozy state. Amid the unfolding events, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond between trainer and Pokémon. His perceptions had shifted as he realized that even the unlikeliest of Pokémon could become steadfast protectors when the need arose.
Upon his return to school, he ventured to the library, delving into the history of Petalburg Woods, seeking answers to the lingering mysteries. He yearned to uncover who had constructed the mansion and why Totem Gengar had suppressed those Pokémon.
In the wake of the events, he was left pondering the potential consequences if they had not been fortunate enough to have Cramorant on their side. The encounter had sparked a newfound appreciation for his Pokémon and the bonds they shared.
Cramorant, oblivious to the complex thoughts and emotions swirling around it, continued to doze off, its mission of protection fulfilled.
In the aftermath of the incident, Officer Jenny submitted an emergency report to the Fengyuan Alliance. The incident was now documented, and investigations would be carried out.
"A sudden appearance of a Ghost-Type Pokémon in the forest?" The response from the Alliance bore hints of intrigue and apprehension, and it signified that the enigmatic events were far from over.
