Episode 60: Freeze, Electric, & Flame

Two months have passed. Leon and Otto have bested Pid and the Royal Guards. Ivy and Wart have surpassed the S.O.U.T.H. and even complete the majority of the Pokédex for Professor Oak. Rai and Una have gained new strength from battling the children of Viridian Forest. All six of them completed their training at the same time. Geo in the sky, Oak in his lab, and Koga in the forest decided to give our heroes a new task to further themselves.

Geo: Since the both of you have done so well...

Oak: I think you are finally ready to take yourselves to the next level...

Koga: A level only the strongest can even think of achieving...

Geo: Have you ever heard of the legendary bird Pokémon Moltres?

Oak: Have you ever heard of the legendary bird Pokémon Articuno?

Koga: Have you ever heard of the legendary bird Pokémon Zapdos?

Geo: There's only one of it's kind...

Oak: And not too long ago I've found it's location...

Koga: So I want to giving it to you now that you are truly ready.

Geo: Atop Mt. Ember of the Sevii Islands.

Oak: In the depths of the Seafoam Island on route 20.

Koga: Inside the abandoned power plant within route 10.

Geo: There you will find the Pokémon...

Oak: And ask to train under it...

Koga: Train until the Pokémon League and I can guarantee victory.

They set off on those journeys, eventually reaching their locations. They find the legendary birds in they're Pokéman form to ask for their help.

Leon & Otto: Moltres...

Wart & Ivy: Articuno...

Rai & Una: Zapdos...

All of Them: Please train us for the Pokémon League next year!

Zapdos: Hmm...

Articuno: You have managed to come all this way...

Moltres: And you don't seem particularly weak...

Zapdos: How about this...

Articuno, Zapdos, & Moltres: Show me your strength, and I'll decide whether or not to take you two under my wing.

Each group manages to stand toe-to-toe with the legendaries. After 4 hours for Una and Rai, 2 hours for Ivy and Wart, and just 1 hour for Otto and Leon, both them and their legendary bird are tired out.

Moltres: Well then...

Articuno: Look like my observation was correct...

Zapdos: You are just as strong as I thought.

Moltres: Alright then, I'll train you two...

Articuno: Just one warning...

Zapdos: This training won't be easy...

Moltres, Articuno, & Zapdos: This is the training of a champion.
