Competition start
It is finally the time for the gym plan to be implemented. The news has officially announced that will be a competition hosted in each country.
Rules for the tournament were announced two months ago so everyone was prepared.
The rules are as the following
1.Trainer must have a specific type
2.There will be a total of 8 winners per competition
Many people wanted to become a gym leader for the benefits. You will earn a pay from the alliance and also get to hold the power to influence the government.
You may be asking why I don't go for the gym leader position. Well it is because I envision myself to hold a higher position I picture myself as the leader of the alliance.
With Lucario,metagross and many other pokemon by my side. The gym leader position is small when compared to what I want to achieve.
The reason why i am even going to the event is because my family happens to be backing the association. So I have been invited out to host the tournament.
I made my way to a huge venue. The association sure does know how to build fast.
If I'm correct this building was built in a month. With the arrival of pokemon it's a blessing and a curse.
Through the help of pokemon humans have advanced a lot in the field of construction, technology and much more.
I also plan on introducing a new product the reid family has made at this event.
In fact there are other surprises to come during these tournaments such as my cousin who I am sponsoring to compete for the right to build a psychic gym.
My cousin name is Nami Reid and through my help. She has conquered three psychic pokemon one on her own and two from me.
Also to my surprise stacy is also competing. I spoke to her briefly it seems that she is hoping for a ground type gym.
If these two manage to get a gym it will be very beneficial to the reid family. We will hold a higher political and military power.
With that topic set aside I presented the starting announcement for the tournament.
"Welcome everyone to the first ever gym leader tournament. I encourage you all to put on a grand performance."
"There will be a total of 8 division to determine the position for the 8 gym leaders."
"Even if you don't win the right to be a gym leader you can still earn fame and branch out to do different things. Just know that many are watching so make your family and friends proud through you hard work."
"With that said let's get this tournament started."
Fireworks went off as people let out a roar of cheers and applause.
I took my seat in the host booth and waited for any interesting fights to go on.
After a hour the first division battle
The first division battle was a tough fight between a guy named hunter who uses a fighting types and a guy named Blake who uses flying types.
They were both currently down two pokemon. One losing a machop and hawlucha. While the other losing a starly and pidgeotto.
There last pokemon on the field was a honchkrow vs a medicham.
I tuned in as the battle went on.
Battle start
Hunter:your a tough opponent but me and medicham will win.
Blake:Same can be said for you but my honchkrow will prevail.
Medicham fist took on a blue hue as it jumped high intending on striking honchkrow.
But Blake predicting the attack called out for honchkrow to dodge.
Blake: Honchkrow use ice beam
A beam was sent towards medicham striking it on the wrist leaving it frozen.
Medicham gave out a cry in pain. Hunter seeing his Pokémon in pain.
Called out his next move.
Hunter:medicham don't give up use fire punch.
Medicham fist was set ablaze as it rushed forward towards honchkrow knocking it down.
Honchkrow stood up shakingly as its trained called out.
Blake:Stand strong honchkrow use hurricane.
A powerful wind formed as it rushed towards medicham ready to tear it apart.
Hunter:medicham use psychic stop that hurricane in place.
A blue hue surrounded the hurricane as it fought the great power from the hurricane.
The two forces clashed causing a mini shockwave throughout the crowd.
Calling out metang I told it to erect a barrier protecting the crowd.
I was surprised at the strength from these upcoming trainers. It seems that I will have to up my training from here on out.
Looking back at the fight I saw the outcome of the moves.
Both medicham and honchkrow looked seared out from the power behind each move.
The trainers knew there pokemon was bout to go down at any time so they decided to settle this with a final move.
Blake:honchkrow use bravebird
Hunter:Medicham use giga impact
Honchkrow was surrounded in a blue light as it rushed at fast speeds towards medicham.
Medicham took on a white hue as it rushed toward the oncoming honchkrow.
Both attacks clashed as they battled for who will come out on top.
The crowd looked on as they waited as to who will become the first gym leader.
I was also excited this battle proved to be great in the end.
Each trainer not wanting to lose gave out a battle cry.
Blake:Give it your all honchkrow
Hunter:Show him true power Medicham
Both pokemon sensing their trainer will to win. Tried even harder to prevail.
A explosion occurred from both of the attacks. Waiting for the outcome I saw Medicham standing shakingly but victorious while honchkrow was unable to battle.
The referee announced the results of the battle
Referee:Trainer hunter wins.
Battle end
Hunter in a good show of sportsmanship went over to shake Blake's hand.
Hunter:Good job man you almost had me there. I hope to battle again.
Blake looked up a returned hunter handshake as he looked at the crowd not just roaring for hunter but also him.
After the crowd stopped their cheering I made my way down to the field for the next announcement.
"With the ending of the first battle hunter will now be officially announced as the first gym leader and granted the fighting type gym."
