Chapter 6; Getting Along

Third Person POV; 

Y/n awoke from his slumber, the sun shined through the curtains, speeding up his journey through sleepiness and into awaking. He sat up and his bed and sat in silence, hearing birds chirping. After around 5 minutes he got up from his bed and walked, or rather, stumbled his way to the bathroom. And luckily his temporary roommate, platinum, was in her own room changing. In the bathroom, y/n saw a towel already there for him, or at least he assumed it was. The towel was blue and it was universally accepted that the color blue was meant for boys, so not thinking much about it, he took off his clothes and threw them into a basket then proceeded to take a shower. 

A quick 10 minutes passed by, y/n exited the bathroom, a towel covering his skin and... parts. Quickly making his way to his room, he saw his suitcases. He saw them yesterday when he ended his conversation with platinum and entered his room, but he was too tired to acknowledge it. He opened the case and took out a short sleeved shirt and pants, then wearing some black fingerless gloves before he rubbed his wet hair with the blue towel. Exiting his room, he saw platinum also exiting her room, with them looking into each others eyes with a surprise 'what're the chances?' Y/n said mentally, ready for platinum to say something like 'how dare a commoner look at me!' Or some other bratty rich speech to come from her lips

"oh, are you going out too?" She asked, much to the surprise of y/n. However he looked away "Yeah, I was going to see the school and the battlefield" platinum nodded as they both walked downstairs, y/n placed his towel in the bathroom "could I accompany you?" She asked, a twinge if nervousness crept onto her face, y/n examined her for a while before sighing "Sure, just don't be loud" Platnium lit up at this and nodded, a smile on her face as her eyes sparkled slightly 'so bright... and for what?' Y/n said mentally as he and she walked out of their apartment, they quickly made their way down the flights of stairs and touched the sidewalk of the Pokémon institute, they walked towards the school in silence which y/n appreciated it. While walking they turned to see the local battlefield, seeing Gary Oak and Red battle with some other first years watching on "Hey, is that a first year battle going on?" "Yeah" "Should we go watch?" Platnium said facing y/n who raised an eyebrow "You can go watch, I still need to see something" he didn't give her time to respond as he walked away, Platnium looked at the battle and back at someone she considered a strong trainer. However the amount of people at the battlefield shook her shyness outward for everyone to see, so she jogged to y/n.

"Hey wait up!" She said, catching up with the prodigy. He looked back at her then back at the road ahead of him "What changed your mind? Was it the people?" He asked as Platnium stayed silent which confirmed y/n's theory "It's normal to be shy ya know. Nothing to be ashamed of, unless you let it control you" y/n tired to comfort his temporary roommate, who looked at him in surprise, but smiled at the attempt that actually worked "Thank you, I'll remember that" the rest of the way to the school much to both of their applications. They arrived at the school too which Platnium finally asked a lingering question "Why're we here?" "You followed me, that's why your here" Y/n's smartass reply brought a smile on his face while Platnium's eyebrow twitched, but she chocked out a forced chuckle "But for real, I'm here to get the Pokémon list" "Pokémon list?" "Yeah, it's a list of Pokémon that students will get depending on the year or skill level their at. But since me and you are prodigies we get... special Pokémon" Platnium was confused, how did he know this but she didn't? Her family were wealthy and had every information about the school, but he knew about this secret? What else did he know that she didn't?

They walked into the school and saw eveylen at the front "Ah, y/n Platnium! What a surprise. Is this a personal meeting or something to do with school?" "The second one, I'd like the Pokémon list for the years and prodigy ranks" Eveylen nodded and walked away, leaving the two at the hall alone. "How do you know about this when I didn't?" Platnium said, with genuine confusion and curiosity. Y/n looked at Platnium, with a confused face of his own "What do you mean? Aren't you rich? Shouldn't you have every information about this place?" He asked too which Platnium was about to respond, but eveylen came back and handed the paper's too the two prodigies "okay~ off you go kids" she said pushing them out of the school, which confused the two, never the less they shrugged and looked at the paper which listed;

Then the starter Pokémon 

charmander, Squirtle, bulbasaur, chikorita, cyndaquil, totodile, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie.

They stopped, standing under a shade as y/n sat down on the grass and Platnium leaned against the tree, reading the note at the bottom 'All students will get a starter pokemon, and a Rank Pokémon!' So they get to start off with two Pokémon, in about two days. Suddenly two loud voice get them off from their line of thinking "Heeey!! Platnium!!!" A boy yelled as the two faced the owner of the voice, seeing two kids, one with blonde hair and one with black hair "who're those two?" "My bodyguards" Platnium said as if it was the most normal thing to have bodyguards at school, but then again, Platnium IS apart of a wealthy family, and this school is like, the number 1 school for Pokémon trainers and other things so... maybe it was normal "The blonde one is Peral, The black one is Diamond" Platnium said as y/n looked at her with an eyebrow raised "is that their actual names?" She shrugged "I think it's a nickname"
