This crow lady was strong, Percy knew that. He followed her, copying her movements, all while observing her.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Hunt," the crow lady said. She had led Percy to a group of beasts and tossed him in.
Now she would never admit it, but she grew fond of the boy. He was... A fresh experience to what yharnam needed.
[Skill {stealth} unlocked: Level 1]
Percy was able to sneak behind one, and then kill it instantly, but now there were three more to deal with.
Percy dodged another strike from the pitchfork beast, and then he slid backward to dodge the second beast.
[Skill {dodging} has been learned]
[Dodging: a perfect dodge will allow an attack to phase through you]
After dealing with the other two beasts the crow woman appeared next to Percy. But by now, Percy's eyes were able to follow her movements, if only barely.
"You have potential kid, I'll give you that," the crow woman said.
Percy stopped panting as his stamina improved, and now he stood up.
The crow woman picked him up by the scruff of his neck, and carried him onto the nearby rooftops, overlooking the beast-filled city.

Percy's eyes glanced at the crow woman. He knew this woman wasn't gonna harm him on purpose. More like she was training him.

Percy felt a blade to his neck, and blood trickled down. His eyes looked down to see Eileen's blade right as his throat.
"What did you do," she said. Her eyes were cold... Inhumanly so.
"I...I...," Percy was scared, he didn't even know what he did himself if he was being honest.
"What was that..." Eileen shuttered. "That presence that just went over my body. It came from you, I know that much."
Percy felt the blade disappear but the dangerous look in Eileen's eyes didn't.
"It .. it was observe... A skill I got," Percy said as he put his hand on his neck
"Observe.." Eileen's eyes narrowed, thoughts going through her mind.
"What does it do." She asked. She couldn't deny, she was... Kinda curious.
"It... Allows me to see the strength of my opponent," Percy said truthfully.
Eileen began rubbing her chin, something was going on in her mind.
"...use it on me again. Tell me what you see," Eileen finally said.
Percy gulped but listened.

Accept or deny]
Percy met Eileen's eyes... Before clicking accept.
"Now before we begin. We need you to awaken the doll," Eileen said as she reached into her cloak.
She paused before pulling out a cracked skull. "I have always wanted an apprentice... But a hunter's work is often bloody."
Eileen got on a knee and looked Percy in the eye. She removed her mask, and there was a hint of a smile on her warm face.
"What is your name kid," she asked.
"...Percy... That's what my mother named me," Percy said with pride.
"Good, Remember it. Never forget that, the moment you do, is the moment you become a beast. Like those in the streets," Eileen said. It sounded harsh, but she needed Percy to understand, this wasn't a game.
Eileen reached forward took Percy's hat, and stitched on it the hunter of hunters sign.
"Tonight, you are a hunter. And tonight, we have a lot of work to do," she said before putting Percy's hat back on him.
She handed Percy the cracked skull that she pulled out earlier.
"Break it. When you return to the dream, you'll meet the doll. Treat her with care, no matter what gerhman says," Eileen said.
"...who?" Percy blinked.
"Gehrman... The old man residing in the hunter's dream?" Eileen seemed genuinely surprised Percy didn't know who.
"I don't think I've met him," Percy's eyes narrow slightly trying to remember.
"I see... When you enter the dream once more, enter the house. You'll know when you'll see in... Farewell my apprentice," Eileen said, only to disappear again.
'that's so damn cool,' was what flowed through Percy's mind.
....
Percy looked at the skull in his hand, before doing what his mentor Eileen said. He broke it.
A sudden chill went up his body, he didn't notice anything different... But he felt something different.
Percy had always felt eyes on him before... Like that weird one-eyed man, when he was younger.
But this was something else... This felt like something... Alien if that was the proper term.
Percy entered the dream once more, but this time it was different.
Instead of the doll that was sitting there before, now it was standing up.
"Hello, good hunter. I am a doll. Here in this dream to look after you. Honourable hunter, pursue the echos of blood and I will turn them into your strength. You will hunt beast and I will be here for you, to embolden your sickly spirit," the doll, which was almost taller than him.
