Argen, Scathath, and Nia we're all sat on top of the hill, waiting for the army to make the first move.
"If we attack first then we will lose, that is the curse of Camelot, if they were outside the gates we would be free to attack without setting off the curse…" Scathath had said nearly an hour before.
"How much longer will we have to wait I wonder, as I sit here on top staring at these gates I wander, to a land far far away, a land of riches, gold and women, all waiting for me."
Nia's song was soft and the last word sounded more like "May" then "Me" but it was something to pass the time so Argen didn't say anything.
"Never lost a battle… Man… There must be something wrong with me," Argen said quietly as his head was tucked into his hands. "I just want to meet you even more now!" Argen suddenly yelled out, standing up with a smile on his face.
"Scathath, can this be my first test? Then you have to begin teaching intermediate level stuff, I can't beat the gods anymore with my beginner crap…"
Scathath stood up and nodded, inwardly sighing as she realized what Argen was about to do.
"Phew… And here I thought you were a sheep, I guess I was wrong, my apologies sir," Nia said as he brandished a thick branch.
He didn't use his sword unless he felt he needed it. Besides, an army like this could be taken down with his branch anyday.
"Fuck a curse, just kill them all," Argen said as he raised his hand, forming a small orb of red energy and tossing it toward the gate, destroying them easily.
"Camelot!" The raised dead screamed as they ran toward the three, who were simply sitting there watching them.
"Yes sir," Nia said and promptly jumped into the middle of the fighting.
"What will you do?" Scathath asked as she readied her spear.
"Me? Oh, I'm going to fight the king," Argen said pointing forward toward the large castle tower in the distance.
"Very well."
With that Scathath joined in fighting the raised dead as Argen flew over them all into the city of Camelot, bursting through the castle until he found the throne room.
"Ah, you're here, honestly I wasn't sure if you were going to attack… You made a mistake though… You actually thought I'd fight you one on one?"
The man said these words as he stood up from his throne, clone after clone splitting from his body and aiming a glowing sword at him.
"Neat trick, you think that shit works?" Argen said as he flashed through all the clones, destroying every one until he got to throne.
"And did you think I would think that it work?" The man said holding Argen's fist and picking him up, slamming him into the ground.
"And did you think I would think that you think it would work?" Argen said attacking from above.
"And did you think I would think you would think that I would think that you would think it would work?"
Argen and the man looked at each other as the man had caught Argen's leg and Argen was aiming a punch at his throat.
"Hmm… No I didn't think that," The man said letting go just as Argen felt a tug at his collar, flying toward the throne room doors and crashing into them.
"Ugh, clones suck you know?" Argen said as he slapped away the blade at his throat and destroyed the clone with a swipe of his hand.
"Clones are the best actually, since I can use them as an infinite source of energy and replace myself with them at any time…"
Argen didn't care about the mans words and flashed forward. Argen stopped mid air as his body was grabbed my multiple hands from the mans clones.
"Yeah… But can you fight like a normal person or what? God damn loser," Argen said as all the clones burst into dust and he surged his fist forward, slamming it into the mans face.
"Didn't I say? I can switch with any clone I have out, and I have them everywhere, I even have an escape clone just in case you turned out to be trouble, guess I was worried for nothing…"
The mans voice was like a taunt to Argen's ears. Nothing pleasant came out, and it only fueled his growing anger.
"Hey," Argen said kneeling against the throne as he breathed heavily. "You think I'm just some idiot?" He asked as Asfalis came out of nowhere and kicked the man from the ceiling, where he had switched with a hidden clone.
Argen used the throne as a stepping stone and lunged toward the falling man, slamming his elbow into his stomach as they fell against the hard cold ground.
"Now my victory is absolute, everyone knows who ever lands the first hit wins."
"Is that right?" The man said unfazed by the attack as he grabbed Argen by the face.
"Well this fight can be the exception, I didn't replace my father just to lose to some loser from the other dimension."
Argen widened his eyes as he felt a sucking feeling all over his body, jumping out of the mans grip he landed on the throne, breathing heavily as sweat ran down his forehead.
"W-What was that?" He said looking at his shaking hands.
The man smiled under the hood as he breathed in deeply, letting out a satisfied breath.
"I never knew demigods tasted so delicious, this is the power I used to break that silly little Camelot curse, I took over and they fled… With enough life force… I can follow them to the new world!"
The man started laughing cruelly as Argen stood up, feeling much weaker than usual.
"Hmm, that's weird… You're life force… It's strong, so why is there so little?" The man seemed confused as Argen stepped toward him.
"Could it be-" The man began to say before Argen pounced forward, going for the kill.
The move was strong, and he instinctively felt it would be able to kill him easily, so he had to end it.
"Geez… I don't really enjoy showing my face to people, so why would you snatch my hood like that?" The man said as looked at Argen who had the hood in his hand.
"Who… Are you?" Argen asked as he looked at the scarred and burned face of his opponent.
"I am… Mordred."
