Chapter 23: Chunin exams Finals!

Due to the fact that Hayate Gekkō was murdered during the one-month break, Genma Shiranui became the proctor for the final exam. The first match was Naruto against Neji.

"Naruto you did well but this is as far as your destiny supports you," Neji said as he saw Naruto walk into the stadium.

"Neji! Today I will beat you up for what you did to Hinata !" Naruto exclaimed as got into the basic taijutsu stance.

"You still haven't realized it? failures are meant to be failures, that is fate only because of fate do you become someone important, everyone has to follow the fate given to them, Hinata-sama' s fate was to lose and so is yours " Naegi said as he go into the gentle fist stance.

"Fate? if such things dose exist then I will break through it to achieve my goals! Dattebayo! " Naruto yelled as he narrowed his eyes towards Neji.

"Breakthrough fate? you can't even defeat me and you think you can match up to fate? how ridiculous " Neji stated as he activated Byakugan.

"I will show it to you " Naruto yelled.

"Start!" Genma said signifying the start of the match.

"Haaa!!" Naruto let out a battle cry as he charged towards Neji ready to punch him.

"Gentle fist!" Neji yelled as he hit Naruto right on the chest using the technique.

"Aaaagh" Naruto yelled as he skids back a little.

"There is more! " Neji yelled as he followed Naruto hit his other tenketsu points.

"Haah!" Naruto leaped back a little and then threw a punch of kunai towards Neji.

"As that would work!" Neji yelled and dodged every single kunai.

"Shadow clone Jutsu!" Naruto yelled as he made 4 clones of himself.

"Humph, it won't work! Byakugan" Neji yelled as veins around his eyes became visible.

'What? he distributed the chakra equally among the 4 clones!' Neji thought as all 5 Naruto jumped on him with Kunai in their hands.

"8 Trigrams: Palm rotation!" Neji yelled as he rotated all-around to create a chakra dome over himself.

"Aaakhhh" Naruto yelled as he coughed out blood and was now down to the ground as well.

"You are within my range!" Neji yelled as he rushed towards Naruto.

"8 Trigrams: 64 palms" Neji yelled as he struck Naruto's chest once again.

"Eight trigrams 64 palms! " Neji yelled as he hit almost all of Naruto's tenketsu points.

"Aaaghhhh!" Naruto yelled as he was thrown off, back first on the ground.

"Humph this is over," Neji said.

"Who decided that!" Naruto yelled as he slowly got up. Chaotic red chakra surrounded him as his eyes were slit like that of a snake.

"What in the world" Neji muttered as he saw Naruto's chakra replaced with that of some sort of chaotic red chakra.

"I have not lost ye!!" Naruto yelled and then rushed towards Neji.

"Aaakh" Neji yelled as he was punched.

'His chakra, speed, and power have increased considerably! is this a technique like the 8 gates? then it must also have drawbacks and limited time! I will wait him out' Neji thought and then backed away with his Byakugan active studying Naruto's every move.

"Come over here!" Naruto yelled he threw multiple kunai with paper bombs towards Neji.

"8 Trigrams: Palm rotation! " Neji created a chakra shield around him to disrupt the attack.

"huff...his limit must be close as well I will end it now !" Neji muttered but then.

"Haaaa!" Naruto jumped on Neji and then punched him in the face.

"Aaakh,...bastard..." Neji cursed under his breath. But, then he noticed that the red chakra surrounding Naruto has faded.

Naruto slowly fell face-first on the ground.

"Seems like this is over," Neji said as he deactivated his Byakugan and let out a sign.

"It's Not!!" Naruto's voice came from under him and then landed an uppercut on Neji.

"aaaghhhh" Neji yelled mid-air and then fell on the ground unconscious.

"Neji Huuga is unconcious ! Naruto Uzumaki has won the first match!"

The crowd cheered as Naruto stood there with his fist pointing to the sky.

'That brings memories' Sanemi thought as remembered the first time he watched the fight as entertainment.

"Secon match Sasuke Uchiha vs Gaara of the sand!"

"Uchiha Sasuke was unable to come so the match is postponed! " Genma yelled as he read the Hokage's message.

" Third match! Shino versus Kankurō " Genma announced.

"I surrender!" Kankuro yelled out.

"All right then Kankuro has surrendered Shino Aburame wins! " Genma yelled.

"Fourth match! Temari of the sand versus Shikamaru Nara " Genma announced.

'It seems that everything is going according to the canon ' Sanemi thought as he watched the end of Shikamaru's match.

Both Temari and Shikamaru were excellent strategists, but Shikamaru was better.

Although it appeared throughout the match that Shikamaru was using pointless attacks, he was actually five steps ahead and managed to skilfully manipulate Temari into a position where he could attack from behind, using the tunnel which Naruto had dug during his match with Neji to stealthily extend his Shadow Imitation Technique.

This took control over Temari's body and forced her to imitate every one of Shikamaru's movements.

Although Shikamaru could have won, he quit instead, saying that he was too low on chakra.

"And the final match for today! " Genma announced.

"Sasuke Uchiha vs Gaara of the sand! " Genma yelled.
