Chapter 3 Training

On a deserted island somewhere in East Blue, a white-haired kid can be seen training with an old man. The kid has his eyes blindfolded while the old man keeps hitting the kid.

"Observations Haki is a form of Haki that grants the user a sixth sense that allows them to sense the presence, strength, and emotions of others, as well as gain limited precognitive abilities. This exercise will help you awaken it," the old man explains.

"I Forgot to ask you old man, how did you suddenly have a sword back then while we were escaping, and how did a boat appear in the sea as you jump on it," Kenny asked.

The next day, Kenny gave a set of weights from the old man; the old man wanted Kenny to train his body.

"Armament Haki is a form of Haki that allows the user to use their spiritual energy to create, in essence, an invisible armor around themself, providing great offensive and defensive capabilities. Notably, this form of Haki can be used to injure Devil fruit users that are otherwise immune to ordinary physical attacks, such as Logia users. The next day Kenny receives new training from the old man.

As another pass, Kenny receives another different training today; he is a task to train his devil fruit ability.

For a month, Kenny trained with the old man doing the same order of training day after day.

On the third month of training, Kenny felt something different as he was training his Devil Fruit ability by fighting the island animal; he thought he could perceive the wind around him. In his Fifth month, Kenny has significant success on Observation Haki as he can dodge all of the old man attacks.

In his sixth month, while he was training his Devil Fruit fighting the local animal, as Kenny punched the animal, a lightning spark appeared on his hand, shocking the animal. Looking at this, Kenny proceeded to ask the old man for it.

"Hey, old man, there's something different about my Devil Fruit."

"What is it, boyo?"

"Let me show you," Kenny said as he prepared to punch a nearby tree; as he took his position, transforming to his Hybrid Form and concentrated, a spark of lightning appeared on his hand, and when he hit the tree, not only did the tree fall but it is also burned.

As the old man looks suddenly, a book appears in his hand; the old man flips the book until he finds what he is looking for.

Your form is not an ordinary tiger; it is a white tiger meaning what you had eaten is not an ordinary Zoan Devil Fruit, but actually, a Mythical Zoan Devil Fruit called Neko Neko no Mi Model: White Tiger. In his eight months of training, Kenny can manifest Armament Haki on his hand both in Human Form and In his Hybrid Form; he has difficulty using it in his Beast Form since the Beast form has different physiology than his other form.

On his Eleventh month of training, Kenny was able to use the basics of Conquer Haki by repeatedly using it on the animal on the island.

In his twelfth month of training, Kenny trained every day by sparring with the old man.

Every day he would use a different Form to fight with; he used a knuckleduster as a weapon while in his Human Form and utilized a naginata in his Hybrid Form inspired by Whitebeard.

On the last day of the twelve-month training, Kenny wakes up, finding the old man has disappeared. Kenny uses his Observations of Haki to see the old man's signature but fails to do so, so he then continues to search for the old man. Lenny has a bad feeling while he searches, and when he arrives at their usual training place, Kenny sees something that he doesn't want to see. he sees the old man body laid on the ground, and behind him is a naginata stuck on the ground, a box and a big backpack.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Please this can't happen" Kenny said as he approached the old man's body.

"Please wake up, old man; you can't die like this; you still have many things to teach me; please don't leave me like this," Kenny cried as he held the old man's lifeless body.

Kenny then saw a note in the old man's body and picked it up.
