Adventure Continues [2]

So they put everything down so they could sort everything out and it wasn't until then they started to sail again towards the Reverse Mountain.

--2 days later--

Right now, Alexander and Nojiko are standing on the deck, staring at what must be one of the strangest things they have ever seen in there life.

Alex: 'Well, seeing it in front of you is entirely different from seeing it from the anime/manga.'

Nojiko turns towards Alexander with a concerned look on her face.

Nojiko: "Do you think that the ship will be able to get through this?"

Alex: "Well, we won't get through this unscathed, but we will get this through, so I would recommend that you hold on to something or get inside."

Nojiko goes near the mast to get something to hold on to if needed, and Alexander goes towards the ship's steering wheel to set the course towards the reverse mountain, then he goes to stand next to Nojiko.

As they got into the reverse mountain up current, it was quite a rough ride in the beginning before it calmed down.

The ship went smoothly through the entrance, and it continued to sail smoothly with the up current.

Alex: "Seems like there's no need to hold into something it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be."

They are soon near the top of the mountain.

Alex: "Now, I think you need to hold on to something."

As they reached the top, the ship jumped up and lands hard on the water, and gravely shakes the ship.

Alex: 'That probably damaged the ship greatly.'

He looks around, so see where Nojiko was, and noticed that she was still where she was and looks at her with concern.

Alex: "Are you hurt?"

Nojiko: "No, I'm fine. Was that it?"

Alex: "Yes, that's supposed to be it. The only thing is now the down current."

As they get down, the current Alexander remembers something.

Alex: 'WAIT I FORGOT ABOUT LABOON!!!'

Nojiko noticed that Alexander looked a little pale.

Nojiko: "Is there something wrong."

Alex: "I forgot something important there's something at the end of the current, so I would recommend that you prepare yourself."

Nojiko looks at Alexander with a confused look.

Nojiko: "What is at the end?"

Alex: "It's hard to explain, but you will soon see it with your own eyes."

As they got closer towards the end, Alexander quickly does everything he can to slow down the ship so he can prepare for impact if it's like how it was for the Straw Hats.

With that, the ship started to slow down by a little bit, but it was enough for now.

When they reach almost the end, Alexander still hasn't seen Laboon yet.

Alex: 'I might be jinxing it, but where is Laboon? Is he sleeping? But it's still early in the day.'

As he said that...

Nothing happens

He looks at how far it's left before they reach the end and knows that they will achieve it now.

When they finally reach the end of the reverse mountain, everything was calm and peaceful.

Alex: 'Seems like the Straw Hats had with Laboon changed a few things well it was for the better when I got to know about Laboon's story I felt sorry for the poor Laboon.

'Even though I wanted to meet Laboon and meet Crocus, I don't have time to for that I'm in a hurry.'

Without much to do, Alexander just continued forward towards the next island as he thought about the next island, he remembers one crucial thing.

Alex: 'I don't have a Log Pose.'

As he was trying to figure it out, he stops the ship.

'Seems like there's only one thing I can do and that getting Crocus to help me he's the only person I know that might have one, but it will be hard to get him to give me one when we have no connection to each other.'

Alex: "Nojiko, I forgot one crucial thing when it comes to navigating in the ship through the Grand Line."

Nojiko: "Ah, How can you forget something that crucial when we need it, you can be a klutz sometimes you know that."

Alex: "Sure, sure, I can be a klutz sometimes, but I think I might know a way to get the Log Pose we need to continue."

'Well, let's just hope I can get this idea to work because I'm not even sure I can do it, but I need that Log Pose without it I can get where we should be soon.'

With that, Alexander went inside his room to think over a few things and trying to figure out how to get Laboon to come out so he can get the chance to meet Crocus.

---2 Days Later---

Alexander and Nojiko have been continuing there days with just training and talking with each other.

The only new thing that happened was that Nojiko wanted to try sparring with me, but he didn't know much about combat other than the training he had when he was sent for military training on Earth.

But that only lasted for six months, and that wasn't enough to call someone experienced fighter.

But he still chooses to spar with her and teach her the little he remembered even if some of the things he was taught became muscle memory, he again hasn't used that knowledge outside the military so he couldn't remember everything.

Right now, Alexander and Nojiko have been waiting for two days now but still haven't seen or heard anything, so Alexander came up with the idea of going to the lighthouse.

That he finally remembers that Crocus was the guardian of or some kind of guard.

It took him a while to figure out what he remembers about this arc.

Alex: "Okej, so our only bet is to go to the lighthouse to get his attention, but so do you want to follow me, or do you want to be here?"

Nojiko: "I want to follow you; it's boring being here all alone, and I'm quite interested in what the creature you are talking about look like."

Alex: "Okej, you can follow me, but stay close because even I don't know what can happen."

Nojiko: "I promise."

As they tried to find the way up something under the water was watching them.

It took them a while to find the way up when they reached the top of the mountain. They finally saw one of the lighthouses.

Alex: 'The lighthouses are smaller than I thought they were now how do I get that old man out of his hiding?'

He was too caught up in trying to figure things out that he didn't notice that something was watching them.

Nojiko looks around, trying to figure out where she gets this feeling from but couldn't find where it came from

Nojiko: "Alexander, I have a weird feeling that we are being watched."

Alexander heard someone talking to him and got out of his thoughts.

Alex: "Sorry, I was...."

He didn't get to finish his sentence before he got this weird feeling of something is on its way.

Alexander grabbed Nojiko and shoved her behind him to shield her from what was coming.

He still had one hand on Nojiko if the situation forced him to push her away while the other hand is on his bey launcher.

As he did that, you could see that a massive shadow comes from the sea coming up towards them only a moment later, you could hear a loud whale cry, and a big creature erupted from the sea.

With that, Alexander got a bad feeling, so he quickly launched Earth Eagle.

Alex: "Earth Eagle, Counter Stance"

Luckily he trusted his instincts because coming towards him right now with the arrival of the creature was a big harpoon.

The harpoon and Earth Eagle was about to clash when they where just 1 meter from each other Earth Eagle spread his wings and released a strong shock wave.

The harpoon and the shock wave were clashing against each other, but you could see that the harpoon was getting pushed up by the shock wave.

As the power clash was happening, Alexander and Nojiko could feel the pressure coming from the shock, so they stepped back a little.

The shock wave was getting stronger and stronger by the second, and finally, the harpoon was redirected up towards the sky.

Alexander let out a sigh when he saw that Earth Eagle was able to push the harpoon away.

Alexander got confused at why he got attacked by the harpoon, so he screamed out his frustration.

Alex: "WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT??"

As he was screaming, a man was looking at him with slight shock and amazement from the creature, and it was then Alexander noticed the creature.

Alex: 'I should have figured that it would be Laboon, but why did I get attacked.'

Alexander looked towards the man standing by whales open mouth going towards him.

When the man reached where Alexander and Nojiko were standing, Alexander did just stand there waiting for him to say something.

Alexander looked towards the older man that was Crocus standing only a few meters in front of him.

As he was staring at Crocus, he noticed that Crocus suddenly turn severe and looked towards him.

Alexander got nervous, being stared at like that.

Suddenly

Crocus: "So how can I help you?"

When Alexander heard that it took him a while to understand what had happened before, he remembered something Crocus liked to do was doing 'running gags.'

Alex: "What do you mean 'how can I help you' when you just shoot at us with a harpoon."

Crocus turned serious again, looking at Alexander with his gaze.

Alex: 'He's doing it again, isn't he?'

There Alexander was standing for a few seconds before Crocus answered him.

Crocus: "I just felt like it, but It could have been a gut feeling telling me to do it or something else."

Alexander was standing there with a weird look on his face.

Alex: 'He must be joking, right. He can't be seriously saying it was just an instinct he acted on?'

"Okej Crocus, Let's get down to business I would like to ask you if you have any Log Poses that I could buy? And to be honest, you owe me one for attacking like that OUT OF THE BLUE!"

And when he said that, Crocus looked at him again with a severe gaze.

Alex: 'YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!!'

There Alexander stood before he heard a little giggle coming from behind him.

So he looks behind and sees Nojiko trying to keep herself from laughing.

He gave her a look saying.

Alex: 'Why are you laughing? I will soon kill this man if he continues doing that.'

She returns a look saying.

Nojiko: 'Bet'

When Alexander saw that, he knew he had to give this woman a good spanking.

He looked at her and said

Alex: "When we are done here, you better watch your back."

Nojiko smiles playfully.

With that, Alexander heard Crrocus finally answering.

Crocus: "How do you know my name, and I do have a log pose that I have kept for myself a long time but not sure if it works, but I could try looking for it, and about that favor, let's say I give the Log Pose to you?"

Alexander was standing there listening, and it felt like he was listening to his old history teacher from school, and that was because Crocus took his time answering his questions.

Alex: "Well, who wouldn't know about the doctor that was apart of the Roger Pirates."

Crocus gave Alexander 'that' look.

Crocus: "Oh, is that so."

Crocus: 'Giving this child a Log Pose isn't that much of a favor they aren't that expensive. I'm more impressed with his power. It must be some kind of Devil Fruit, but I should pry on other secrets let's see how far this child gets with this.

'And who knows I might just get something out of it I would do anything to win over my old friend Rayleigh while I'm at it I should maybe share Observation Haki. Unfortunately, it's the only Haki I trained, but It should be enough for the time being.'

Crocus: "Why don't we go inside and talk while I also try to find where I kept the Log Pose?"

Nojiko, who has been unable to understand anything from there conversation other than the Roger Pirates she was interested in what Alexander did before to clash against the harpoon Crocus sent. Still, she keeps quiet so they could talk. She didn't want to say something wrong.

But she didn't see anything suspicious about Crocus, so she wanted to be the one accepting the offer, so she gives a friendly smile and says

Nojiko: "Alex and I would love to do that."

Crocus: "Oh, so your name is Alex."

It was then it hit Alexander that he forgot to introduce himself here he has been talking while knowing Crocus' name, but he didn't know his.

Alex: "Well, I'm sorry if I'm late for an introduction, but my name is Alexander, but you can call me Alex."

Nojiko giggles in the background.

Crocus: "Well, it's good to know your name finally, so about we get going?.

With that, they all went towards the house next to the lighthouse.

When they got inside, they were greeted by a pretty simple looking style.

Crocus: "Well, welcome to my simple abode even though this isn't where I usually am I still go here from time to time, so please sit anywhere while I try to find everything."

So Alexander and Nojiko went and sat on the sofa and relaxed.

After a while, Crocus came back with a Log Pose and some papers that looked like notes of some kind.

Crocus: "I found the Log Pose, and I got something extra that may be helpful to you and your pretty wife."

Nojiko: "No, he isn't m...y"

Alexander was a little stunned when he heard Crocus thinking that Nojiko was his wife, but he soon got back and had a silly grin on his face looking towards Nojiko's blushing face.

She noticed him staring at her and saw his silly grin and blushed heavily and looked down while hiding a happy smile that Alexander didn't notice.
