The kingdom of Arabasta

... While still in the middle of his flight...

The weather started to change abruptly from a clear blue sky with a bright sun to one full of white clouds and white snow started to fall down on Lucci giant body. All this can only mean that Lucci got close to the first destination of his fly by. And sure enough over the horizon a big snow filled island appeared, filled with large ice pillars that seem to go into the very clouds.

"Hey, Lucci, is there a reason why you want to pass by here?" Asked Blueno curious about his captain sudden interest in visiting islands.

"Reason? Not really, I only want to enjoy our new-found freedom and see as much as I can when possible... Maybe it is because of that stupid brat with a straw hat, but after my defeat, I find myself wanting to know more about our world." Replied Lucci with a slight smile visible.

'How can I not visit this world to the fullest when I got the chance to come here?' Asked himself in silence.

Their stay in Sakura Kingdom was short as he only ever got to fly some important places such as Kureha castle. He even got a glimpse at that old witch, who seemed to be still going just as strong as one would expect from an undying woman. After which he departed this place due to its extreme weather.

His next stop is Arabasta where he is planning to land for a quick taste of the local cuisine and as he was getting closer and closer to it an idea suddenly come to him.

'If I remember correctly, a tragedy will soon befall on the royale family of Arabasta after the two years of time skip in the story. Leaving the king dead and the princess running for her life, all thanks to those people from the W.G.… While I'm not some good person to just go around and help every damsel in distress as long as it screws up with the plans of those old fools. I don't mind a little stop to warn the king about his impending doom.' With this thought in mind, Lucci passed over the town of Nanohana and continued forward to the capital.

Not long after, a giant bat appeared above the capital, far enough for the normal people to not be able to see him.

"Blueno, open your door dimension, I want to meet the royale family of this island to discus something with them!" Ordered Lucci with an authorial voice.

He immediately did as Lucci commanded, but he still couldn't help to ask for some clarification about their goals in meeting the king.

"Lucci, is any special reason for us meeting the Nefertari family, I know they should be celestial dragons but beside that there is nothing worth mentioning about them or about their country." Said Blueno.

"You are right, there is nothing important about them for us, but they seem to be quite hated by those old five guys. So how can we miss the chance to make things more difficult for them, especially when there is no risk involved?" Said Lucci.

"After we get in, be sure that the king and I are not disturbed during our little talk but don't use any excessive force, they are not an enemy!" Continued Lucci.

Soon through the use of the door dimension they were already in the throne room where currently only three people were present, the king, his daughter, and the king right-hand man Chaka.

"Blueno let me out and make sure to keep that guard busy, I don't want anyone present beside me and the royals!" Reminded Lucci again.

As soon as he said that, Blueno acted rapidly, opening a door pulling Chaka in and letting Lucci out of the door dimension. The father and daughter did not even have time to react to the whole series of events.

From their point of view, Chaka vanished all of a sudden and an unknown man show up in front of them, this quite understandably startled them.

" Greetings... king, princess... I hope I don't interrupt." Said Lucci with a smile.

"Who are you !? What did you do to Chaka!?" Asked Vivi.

"Don't worry, your friend is fine, and I'll return him as good as new after we have a little talk, as for whom I'm… well... let's just say I'm about to become your best friend!" Replied Lucci.

Obviously, nether of them was buying it, but they still chose to listen to what Lucci has to say, even if it's just to reduce the risk of something actually happening to Chaka.

"Now then, I'll start by introducing myself, my name is Rob Lucci the captain of Blood Moon pirates and a former agent working for W.G. secret assassination organization known as CP9." Said Lucci.

The name CP9 immediately draw Vivi attention since she has read about in just a few days ago in the newspaper.

"CP9 !? Isn't that... from the Enies Lobby incident from a few days ago!" Exclaimed Vivi while her father was more intrigue about him being a former agent.

"Ohh? Did they already make it public, I guess they can't hide something of that scale? Yes, I used to be the strongest CP9 agent, but after our lose against your friends our former boss chose to throw us under to save his skin, and now we are all considered outlaw by the W.G." Said Lucci.

"So this is your real goal, revenge against Luffy and the others!?" Replied Vivi with indignation.

"Revenge? I'm afraid not… well, at least not against the Straw Hats. You see thanks to this incident my eyes have been open about the true face of the W.G. so how can I seek revenge against the ones who set us free from our invisible chains? I do want to beat that brat don't get me wrong, but that is to regain my pride after being defeated, but for that I'll fight him in a fair way." Said Lucci facing the princess.

"Then if you are not looking for revenge, why are you here? I doubt we can help you in any way with your revenge." Said Cobra.

"Oh, you got it all wrong, king Cobra, or should I call you Nefertari D. Cobra?" Said Lucci as he looked straight in his eyes.

The king could no longer keep his calm as one of their biggest secret was just revealed, this made him shake out with fear.

"YOU ! HOW CAN YOU KNOW THAT NAME?" Said Cobra with a laud voice filled with fear.

Even his daughter Vivi was startle by her father sudden outburst and was wondering what was wrong but nevertheless she kept quiet and let them speak.

"That's my secret, but don't worry I don't plan to tell them anything, instead I'm here to talk with you about it. I know you have been wondering what happen to your old ancestor going missing and about the secrets of the D. name, well I might be able to answer some of your questions!" Said Lucci.

"Even I don't know the whole story, but what I can tell you for sure is that Nefertari D. Lili was killed and erased from history for something related to the poneglyphs. She apparently played a big role in their creation, as for the name D. they are the enemies of the true leader of W.G. I honestly don't even know how your family line still survive to this day, that alone is an accomplishment." Said Lucci.

"Killed? The W.G. leader? Poneglyphs creation?" Said a very confused Vivi feeling that she got to know some very important secrets that she should not have heard.

"Well, I already told you what you need to know about those secrets. If I were you I'd keep what I've told you a secret that if you don't want to suffer the same fate as Lili. But even so, you don't have many days left anyway, after all they have started to quietly deal with you even without knowing about that letter from Lili." Said Lucci.

While the king was still in doubt, questioning in his head what he heard, Vivi took the lead of the conversation on behalf of the royals.

"What do you mean by that, how have they started to do that?" Asked Vivi.

"How do you think, princess? Let me tell you, the W.G. has its secret agents keeping watch on every country that is allied to them, do you truly think they did not know about the previous situation of Arabasta ? Well let me break it to you, they did, how do you think someone like Crocodile even managed to get his hands on so much Dancing Powder?" Said Lucci to the disbelief of the princess.

"Does that mean that all the suffering of our people was because they wanted to get to us?" Asked Vivi rather guilty.

"That's just my deduction, but yes, that would be correct." Affirmed Lucci.

"NO ! This can't be, that would mean..." Said Vivi as her voice fade as tears stared to fall down from her eyes.

"Well, princess, I do have a suggestion if you and your father are willing to listen." Said Lucci trying to bring some order back to the conversation.
