Chapter 80

"Sin!" Hiyori, who had been waiting, sitting on the front porch with Desire, rushed to him as soon as she saw him enter the gate.

"Hey, sorry for being late." He hugged her back, and she just kept holding him tight in her arms.

Eventually, she let go of him and curiously looked at the boy, whom he was carrying over his shoulder, and who was wrapped in his coat.

"Let's put him in bed." He said, and she nodded to him before she greeted Yamato.

Desire also threw Grount a curious glance, and she followed them inside the house as Sin put the boy in a guest room.

The two girls gasped then he finally unwrapped his coat from around the boy and his left arm became visible to them.

"He ate a Devil Fruit and is not able to control it yet," Yamato told them, and their worries were put to rest, replaced by some curiosity.

Hiyori sadly looked at the scar that the boy bore on his left cheek and then followed Sin out of the room as they all sat down in the lounge.

Sin then told them how he found the boy and gave them an idea about what his life had been like, not going into too much detail, but it was enough to sadden Hiyori and anger Desire over what the people had done to the kid.

Since Hiyori had not eaten as she was waiting for him to come home, they all had their dinner next, after which, Desire stood up to take her leave.

"The diamonds were evaluated today, and I am here to return this one. Five of them were enough to cover the cost." She told him as she handed him back one diamond, and he smiled at her before he accepted it from her hand.

"Thank you."

After Desire left, Yamato went to her room to get some sleep, and Sin smiled when he found Hiyori struggling with her thoughts.

"Yes?" He gently asked, and she raised her head to meet his eyes.

"You have a wife?" She nervously raised the question.

"Hancock? Yes." He nodded. "She's my Vice-Captain and is also the Queen of Winterheim. I am also married to my sister, Robin," He informed her, and she surprisedly looked at him.

However, the surprise soon wore off and she just nodded her head.

Though raised at a brothel, she was not uneducated, and she had spent most of her time studying about the world.

The records they had on the world were centuries old, and back then, the marriage between siblings was practised by several royal families, and she was sure that there were some countries and cultures out there that still practised it.

Even in Wano, the clans encouraged marriage between cousins, and there had been instances where siblings had been married to each other. It happened in the Kozuki family too.

However, she was worried right now, and she was worried about how his wives would react to the news. Would they hate her? Would they get along with her?

"Don't worry. I called Robin today and told her about you. They don't mind you." He said and watched her visibly relax after his words.

"Sin..."

"Yes?"

"Can you teach me how to wield a sword?" She hopefully asked, clutching her clothes, and he could not help but smile at how adorable she looked.

"I can, and I will." He reached forward and gently caressed her head, and Hiyori blushed at his action. "However, you will need to start with a standard Katana, you can not wield Enma in practice."

"Okay." She obediently nodded her head and then stood up to wipe the table.

When she nervously entered their room half an hour later, she found him soundly sleeping in their bed, and her nerves immediately relaxed.

She was quite relieved that he was asleep since she was still sore from last night, and after changing into the pyjamas that he had bought for her, she joined him in the bed and hugged him before closing her eyes.

It did not take long for her to enter her dreamland, especially when his comforting warmth was next to her.

As soon as she was fast asleep, Sin opened his eyes and smiled a little.

His eyes briefly pulsated with electricity before he cleared his mind and expanded the domain of his Observation Haki, this time, using his Devil Fruit to amplify it.

His Lightning Powers allowed him to sense electromagnetic waves, and he could use them to amplify the range of his Domain and make his Observation even sharper.

However, it was not without some pain.

Listening to everything on the Island, even the slightest of the movements, was excruciatingly painful. To reach this state of Observation Haki, he had to clear up his mind and allow all the information in against the mind's natural defensive mechanisms, and it always left him with a serious headache after he switched it off.

Nonetheless, Sin had decided to master this state and push through the pain. He had two goals. The first goal was to achieve this state at a subconscious level, which was when he would be able to filter out the useless information from the important one, and he wanted to have it always passively active, but it was easier said than accomplished. And the second goal concerned Future Vision.

He had been trying it for months now, ever since he had the chat with Dory and Brogy, and after testing himself a few times, he had realised why he had not been able to achieve Future Vision yet.

Observation Haki had four basic Techniques, and he was ridiculously blessed in Emotion, Intent, and Strength Sensing, however, his Presence Sensing, though ridiculous, was lacking in comparison to the other three, unless he used his Devil Fruit to make it up for it. However, it was not helping his basic and natural ability to grow, and he was still trying to figure out a method to improve on it.

He had long realised that his Devil Fruit was not going to help him unlock Future Vision as that depended entirely on his innate abilities, otherwise, he would have awakened it long ago.

A few minutes passed as Sin kept sensing the entire Island, and then he abruptly cut off his Devil Fruit Powers and tried to hold onto the domain as it started shrinking at a dramatic rate before it stopped at a level where his natural limitations lay.

His mind began hurting, the side effects of using her Devil Fruit to amplify the domain, and even though his Presence Sensing domain was still ridiculously large compared to normal standards, where he could sense more than half of the Island, and this Island was one largest he had seen in his life, it was still not enough to create a balance with his other three Basic Senses.

Sometimes, your blessings could really become your inconvenience.

Sin allowed his mind to relax a little before he tried pushing this limit, searching for the auras of the creatures who he knew were just a few metres away from the boundary, but failed, and then he again utilised his Devil Fruit powers to expand the domain before repeating the exercise.

For hours Sin dealt with all the unpleasant feelings and findings, things we would rather not hear and sense, and kept bearing an excruciating headache, and when the dawn arrived, he stopped and decided to take a nap.

However, the nap ended up lasting for two days as he felt that his mind truly needed the rest after what he had been pushing through for the last few months.

Sin woke two days later, late in the morning, and then sat up to lazily stretch his arms.

He took a deep breath and smiled as he felt incredibly refreshed, and then he quickly expanded his Observation Haki Domain to gather information and get a gist of things that had been happening on the Island in the last two days.

The first thing that he learned made him grin in excitement, and it was because he had finally made an improvement in his Presence Sensing, now able to encompass more creatures and go further, though only by a few metres.

It was little progress, but progress nonetheless.

However, the second discovery froze the smile on his lips as he sensed an incredibly strong signature.

It was someone who was even more powerful than Garp and Sengoku, and Sin frowned when that person sensed him snooping on him and his Crew's conversation.

He respectfully retracted his domain and then sighed before getting up and stretching his body.

When he arrived downstairs, he smiled as he looked at the young boy who was sitting at the table with Hiyori, and who was now fearfully looking towards him.

"Sin!" Hiyori brightly smiled when she saw that he was awake and blushed when he leaned in and stole a quick kiss from her lips.

Grount tensed up with Sin suddenly placed his hand on his head and patted him.

"You caused quite some trouble here." He commented and smiled when the boy tensed up even more.

Though he was asleep, he was still aware of things and Grount had been very frightened when he woke up and even tried to escape.

Thankfully, Yamato was keeping an eye on him and she contained him without much effort and before he could harm the place.

And in the last two days, the young boy had started trusting Hiyori a little.

"Relax." He chuckled. "We will start with your training in a few days, and I will make you strong so that you can protect yourself. And you will be calling me Captain from this day forward. Understood?"

Grount nodded his head, submitting to the authority in his words, and finally took a breath when Sin started walking away after patting his shoulder.

"I will be late." He told Hiyori, who immediately rushed after him.

"Have breakfast first!" She grabbed his arm and stopped him, and he smiled at the stern look in her eyes.

"Okay " He agreed, and it was worth it because he saw a beautiful smile bloom on her face.
