14 Prologue: Morning Stars & Golden Lion

Somewhere in the raging wave, a huge brigantine went by, aggressively swayed by the waves carrying it.

Despite the ever-changing gravity of the no one seemed to become out of balance as they laughed by. 

Amongst the cheerful atmosphere above the caravel, a red-nosed youth with tears and snot filled his face said, "Captain Roger! I think our lives matter the most!"

"Just do as the Golden Lion asks for the time being!"

The red-nosed youth's name was Buggy. Born in the Grand Line, he joined the soon-to-be-known Pirate King, Gol D. Roger's crewmates at the age of 9.

Naturally, knowing his captain's strength, Buggy usually wouldn't complain before giving a fight, albeit he would complain. 

The reason for his complaint right now is because of the same terminally ill captain of his. Ever since the news of the irreversible illness that attacked Gol D. Roger, Buggy hasn't been calm in front of dangers (albeit, he always wasn't).

"That's it! Crocus, how is the captain doing!? He shouldn't fight, shouldn't he!? As his doctor, tell him he shouldn't do it!" Knowing his crewmates wouldn't yield to the upcoming dangers, Buggy turned to the ship doctor.

"Sorry, but he is in great shape!" Crocus undependably shook his head for Buggy.

"Rayleigh!!" Buggy turned his body to the man who had just come out of the door.

Just as Buggy was about to share his complaint to the vice-captain of the ship, Rayleigh, countless ships emerged from the distant fog in the raging weather, surrounding the brigantine.

After a while, from the countless ships, a man appeared, capturing the attention of the Roger Pirate, including Gol D. Roger who had exited from his bedroom.

"Roger! How many times do I have to say this! We had our problems since we were young, but that is all under the bridge now!!" The person that had emerged among the countless ships was Golden Lion, Shiki.

"You know the location of a weapon that can cause mass destruction with a single thought and I've got the manpower! How about it? With you as my right-hand man, we'll be able to take over the world in no time!" Shiki said.

Roger in contrast, laughed in response as if he had heard the most hilarious joke in his life, "I have no desire to rule, Shiki!"

"What good is a pirate who can't do anything he wants? You can pressure me all you want but I will still decline your offer, Golden Lion!!" 

Roger's voice was not loud compared to the violent storm but it had a strange charisma behind it, echoing his voice to everyone around.

"Please stop it, Captain!! Have you no idea how many ships around us!?" Buggy said. However, his voice failed to persuade Roger's will.

"So is that your answer, Roger? Do you want to die today?" Pissed, Shiki aggressively questioned Roger, knowing today marks the final day he invite Roger to his side to rule the world.

"No! My answer is that I'm going to crush you all!!" Coldly smiling, Roger responded as he directed his serious gaze at Shiki.

*BOOM*

The sounds of cannons marked the beginning of the clash between the two strongest pirates at the current age.

The cannonballs fired at Roger Pirate were swiftly split in half by a lightning-fast sword draw, causing them to completely miss the caravel Roger and his crewmate were above in.

As soon as the battle began, a colorless wave spread by Shiki and Roger swept over the entire area, causing over 70% of Shiki's allies to fall unconscious.

Shiki annoyingly turned at Roger as he brandished his swords and leaped toward the caravel, with the intention to split it in two.

Before he arrived at his destination, however, Roger appeared on his way, stopping him.

"Why can't you understand the greatness of my plan, you imbecile fool!!" Shiki swung his swords, launching his strongest move.

As Roger laughs, the two swords and one sword clash mid-air, causing the extreme force produced by the two to spread nowhere to eventually ascend, splitting the sky.

The story between two great rivals would end tragically though as their battle would be canceled as a colossal wave would sweep over their ships and Roger Pirate escaped as half of Shiki's fleet sank.

Eventually, two years after the fight, Roger discovers the final island, Laugh Tale, and conquers the Grand Line as people would call him a Pirate King.

A year after Rogers turned into Pirate King, he would willingly give himself to marine and be executed in Loguetown, the Town of Beginnings.

During Roger's executions, Shiki was inside the cell of Impel Down after destroying half the Marineford in search of Roger to kill him only to be finally caught.

Days after Roger's executions, news of the arrival of the Great Age of Pirates came across many prisoners' ears as they cheered as the world fell in chaos.

Shiki in contrast, lamented, and murmured to himself, "Ridiculous..."

"Absolutely ridiculous... All you selfish bastard out there looking for the One Piece will only get in the way...!" Blood flowed down from his head, giving Shiki the struggle to speak.

"A new age...!? Pirates rule the seas...!!" 

'Buwahahaha, a loser's howling. With a Seastone shackle holding you down, without a Roger to rise you up, what are you? You ruling the sea? To me, you are nothing but a dying man now,' the voice inside Shiki, someone who named itself Aer spoke.

"Shut the hell up!!" Shiki loudly shouted despite the inessential to do so.

'Without Roger, you would be nothing. Your entire career is supported by him! The thought of allying him, the thought of defeating him are what makes you what you are now!! Shiki The Golden Lion? If it weren't for Roger at the back of your mind, you would wound up ended as the Rocks Pirate's crew.'

'Without him, your worth is only going to go down without the hope to rise even if you stupidly cut your leg to remove the shackle and escape from here.'

"Yo... You bastard!! I won't forgive you. Come out of my body, with this hand I will personally end you!!" Shiki weakly released a wave of haki to his surroundings only in futile.

After all, his Float Float Fruit, Aer, was in the end, a matterless character.

"I won't forgive you... Someday, before I rule over this world, I will definitely dominate you...!!" Shiki swore to himself.

Since then, a year has passed as havoc ran through the Impel Down.

"Chief there is a trouble!!"

"Golden Lion Shiki has escaped but he is still somewhere inside!!" 

"What, did he find a way to remove the seastone shackle!?" the current chief warden of Impel Down, Magellan responded to his subordinate.

"That, I don't know sir! When we arrived at the cell, the Seastone was crushed to dust!!" Magellan's subordinate reported.

"Hey, do you know where my swords are? They're both famous. Oto and Kogarashi," floating playfully as if he discovered profound power, Shiki asked the nearby marine.

'There it is,' Shiki sensed the belonging of his sword.

"That's right, I've left my steering wheel at the cell of mine! decorate it to a museum as the legend of the Golden Lion or something. Farewell!!" Shiki flew right through the wall of Impel Downl, crashing it with his tough skull.

After receiving his swords, he sent a flying sword slash that cut through the Impel Down's exterior and despite the waters that flowed down from within the hole, Shiki carelessly dove through the ocean, and flew from the rock bottom to the surface after enjoying the wet feeling of the ocean for a while.

Shiki has not only become the first man to escape the Impel Down, he also became the first warning to the World Government that the World has changed, and it is their turn to adapt to the ever-changing ideology of the world.
