Chapter 6: Kenbonshoku Haki

"BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!"

In the forest of Boin Archipelago a loud "BANG" was heard as a young man in the age of 17 is being hit by a gigantic bug having a form of Praying Mantis. This seemingly harsh training has continued for a month. He endured the pain of being beaten as he was determined to do everything just to make himself stronger, thinking that this what he is going through was just a little challenge compared to what he will face in the future. If he can't even overcome this challenge then he will never be able to move forward from his goals.

"Damn it! It has been 1 month and I can barely dodge the limbs of Mants. My progress is so slow it will take me forever if my progress doesn't increased"

1 hour has passed and Renz was still being beaten by the Praying Mantis who was enjoying himself from being able to abuse this little human who wiped out his family.

The Praying Mantis still hold a grudge on this little human, because he is the cause of the annihilation of his family leaving only him alive. Suddenly, an idea has entered in Mants mind, if he can kill this human he will be able to free himself from enslavement and be able to take revenge to his family. Thinking of this, a wide smiled appeared on the Mants face like a devil mimicking the little human devilish grin. "GIGIGIGIGI"

Renz who has a huge bulge on his head was thinking of a more feasible way in order to unlock "Kenbonshoku haki" while deep in thought, a chill run through his bones as if he has sensed a danger.

"Th-this is killing intent" Renz who felt the killing intent on his back rolled to the other side and dodged the limb of Mants that was trying to kill him. Another limb was trying to attack him with killing intent. Renz sense this as he jumped to his front avoiding the blow.

Renz take off his blindfold and saw that the killing intent was released by the Praying Mantis. The Praying Mantis seemed to be consumed by his hatred towards Renz and went into berserk, he continuously attacked Renz, while Renz was still avoiding the countless blows that was launched to his direction.

"Hey! Mants calm down!!" Renz shouted to Mants who still kept on attacking him. Renz got annoyed and squatted and applied energy from the sole of his feet "Ketsuryu!" instantly arriving at the top of its head Renz opened his palm and slap the head of Mants, he didn't apply energy on his hand as it will break the head of the Praying Mantis "BANG!" though the palm was not inserted by energy, it was still quite strong as the body of Renz has undergone a lot of harsh training that he can easily punch a boulder and turn it into pieces. But still the Praying Mantis itself is a monster which is capable of taking the blow from Renz, however, it will take damage from a strong attack from Renz.

The Praying Mantis who got hit by the palm was dizzy as if he just got to wake up from his sleep and finally able to sense the pain on his head "GWAAA!" the Praying Mantis groaned from the pain. He suddenly, remember what he did to the little human and he got sweat pouring nonstop on his body, he trembled as he understand just what mistakes he did before.

Renz who saw that the Praying Mantis has finally came back from his sense glared at Mants "You dare to try killing me!" Renz released a little bit of Haoshoku Haki and frightened the Praying Mantis.

The Praying Mantis was able to feel this pressure and was scared to death, he let out a moan as he was so frightened by the little human, a pitiying look has appeared on its face.

He saw the expression of the Praying Mantis and just held back his anger, he sighed "You! don't do it again, I will break your head if you do! I'll give you one last chance since I was able to achieved the thing I was aiming for thanks to your killing intent" Renz who said this has finally calmed down as he was able to touch the existence of Kenbonshoku Haki, his anger was turned into ecstacy with a big grin on his face.

The Praying Mantis saw Renz that the little human seemed to forget what he did and has forgiven him, he breathed a sigh of relief as he was able to escape from death and get rid of the thought of ever getting revenge from Renz as he know that the man infront of him is a devil itself possessing a young body.

"Oy, Mants let's continue on my training as i can't still fully utilize the power I gained, I need to get used to the feeling first in order to completely used it" Renz said looking at the giant Praying Mantis.

Mants didn't dare to slack off as he started attacking Renz. Renz was able to dodge the blow from the Mantis but sometimes he still got hit because of his late reaction but it still getting better, unlike before what he did was just abusely hit by Mants without even progressing. The feeling he has got right now was on a completely different level, he was able to sense his surroundings, though, the scope of its domain is 10 diameters 5 meters in radius but it should suffice for now as he was still in training and will be able to improve it, if he keep on training with the Praying Mantis.

[5 months later]

Boin Archipelago

In an isolated part of the island a man. A giant Praying Mantis was attacking the little figure which is Renz who was able to dodged every blow of the Mantis despite being blindfolded.

"Hu-huh" The Praying Mantis was panting heavily as he keep on attacking Renz for over 3 hours non-stop and they still continue making his limb numb and heavy. The Praying Mantis has fell as he can't keep up anymore he is so tired that he just wants to die than keeping up with this devil human beside him. "Hu-huh" the Mantis who has finally got to rest was able to feel relaxed as Renz didn't seem to force him from continuing.

Renz got up from his seat and took off his blindfold and said to the Praying Mantis "Good job Mants! Our training has come to an end and you will be able to do whatever you want" The Mantis who heard this was so happy that he finally got to have a peaceful days in the future.

"Finally, I was able to freely utilize Kenbonshoku Haki and the range has multiply a lot, I can feel my domain has reach 100 diameters" Renz thought to himself.

"Okay Mants since you're a great help from the past month we will celebrate my success and your freedom"

"GWAAAA!" The Praying Mantis roar in ecstacy. Renz and the Mantis has eat the food they stored previously.
