Chapter 105: The Manifestation Of Willpower II
...........
He could also hear strange crackling, something his eyes caught, something akin to golden lightning... Yovan was finally able to manifest his monstrous willpower. Such are the capabilities of Conqueror Haki.
"Yahahahahaha, so childish, just give up." Zoro heard it clearly as Yovan's words seemingly made him wince in pain, and he wasn't even the focus of the Conqueror Haki.
"No? Ok." What followed were the vague murmurs of Yovan before Zoro felt the ground beneath him crack, and he heard something else break.
"Still no? Sure." The sound of something breaking even more resounded yet again.
"Still trying to control me? Aww, so cute." It was already apparent that the sword's corruption and possession abilities aren't strong enough to influence Zoro, so there was no chance Yovan would be.
The disparity between Yovan's willpower and Zoro's is indescribable. Yovan's willpower even reached such a level that he forcefully awakened his Conqueror Haki.
"I do not like to give second chances, so I won... Hm, finally giving up?" And then the pressure vanished like it never existed.
Zoro lifted his head with difficulty, still feeling excruciating pain in his head. His eyes couldn't help but widen, his mouth agape as he saw a completely different scenery than it was before.
Yovan was nowhere to be seen. Sinj was also nowhere to be seen. The ground on which Yovan stood before was nowhere to be seen. Instead, there was only lava, somewhat green lava.
But that wasn't the end of it. Where there isn't lava, there are fractures. The ground all around has seemingly opened up to swallow the lava.
Confusion overwhelmed Zoro as he eyed a certain area in the air, in the place Yovan was in. He could see a black fissure just floating in the air, slowly dissipating.
The last thing that caught Zoro's attention before getting out of his stupor was the sky, an opening in the sky above the area as if the clouds made way for some invisible force to pass.
"Saga... Saga!!" He couldn't dwell on the scenery for long as he went on, shuffling through the feathers to find his friend, the other Straw Hats soon joining him.
But they didn't get much time before the Marine joined them, looking for them specifically, forcing them to escape with Saga's unconscious body.

Yovan narrowed his eye at the new stat, feeling the breeze brush against his skin, seated on a carpet of feathers that was flying far above the clouds.
The moment the Seven-Star Sword gave in to his control, Yovan felt a newfound mastery of swordsmanship. It was natural as if he has been practicing for a long time.
"Is this your doing, little thing?" Yovan asked the sword on his lap, and its lip up as a response. Its glow, however, was very faint, mainly because it was almost completely broken.
The once gorgeous blade was tainted with fractures throughout its frames. Its green glow looked a bit withered as if it was about to fade away.
It was the result of the mind battle between Yovan and the Shichiseiken, a mental battle that was able to affect the physical world.
If used with a sufficient degree of power, Haoshoku Haki is capable of damaging inanimate objects and structures in the user's vicinity, exactly what Yovan had done.
"Thank you," Yovan smiled, already becoming friends with the fabulous sword, "Yahahahaha! I wanted you to heal me, but it seems that I have to heal you."
He couldn't help but chuckle, using Kiryu Hasshoken to crack the veins of his hand, allowing a river of blood to pour onto the sword, and the weapon shook in response.
"Don't worry... I'm used to such things." Yovan murmured, eyeing his gorgeous crimson blood. He was exactly sure why his blood has such a strong effect on the sword, but it was a welcomed surprise.
There was a reason why he allowed the sword to taste his blood before. It was an experiment from which he made theories, but he was uncertain about them all.
His blood is special because of Limitless, or specifically because of his ridiculously high stats, and because he doesn't grow in strength like everybody else, he evolves.
That's how Limitless works, and perhaps why his blood is so special. Yovan watched the sword literally burn in green flames for a while, enveloping it entirely... Until, "We work well together, huh?"
He couldn't help but trace his fingers along the fabulous form of the sword. It was radiant, looking its the last time it tasted a hammer was no more than days or even hours prior.
All the damage it had suffered was long gone. Indeed, it simply reconstructed itself after devouring Yovan's blood.
They suited each other rather well because Yovan's wound was also long gone. That's how monstrous his regeneration was, and if they work together, he might just be able to completely recover his arm.
"C-Captain?" Sinj mumbled, rubbing his eyes. His expression spoke of confusion as he just regained consciousness.
"Finally awake. Took you long enough." Yovan said as he stood up, "Something urgent has happened, so I'll have to leave, alright? Just continue with the plans in Paradise, and do not disappoint."
"Huh? Yeah, of course. We always survive, right?" It was an instinctive response even with his confusion, words Yovan taught his subordinates very well.
"Mm, if you..." Yovan halted his words, narrowing his eye in deep thought. In the end, he shook his head as he said, "Nevermind. Just continue with the plans. Be the distraction, and if you can do so no longer, just tell me."
Tinny D. Sinj was indeed just a distraction, something some special people can keep an eye on while Yovan is away doing some special shit.
However, Yovan has plans for him, plans he couldn't say just yet. He could only hope that Sinj would be worthy of what he will prepare for him.
"AHHHhhhhhhh..." Before Sinj could respond, the carpet of feathers beneath him dispersed, letting him fall, and all he could do was scream, his howl slowly but surely fading away.
Of course, Yovan made sure Sinj would fall safely on the Island before scattering into feathers, vanishing into the distance.
He expected it, but it still didn't feel good when it happened. Throughout paradise, the crow's nests were being eradicated by the Marines at an incredibly fast rate.
Most times, the crows can escape the clutches of the Marines by a surveillance system constructed by Yovan, but when the Admirals get involved, there is nothing they can do.
Indeed, the Admirals got involved. It took a while but they finally did. The Marines first had to settle the rising chaos due to the fall of a World Noble, to assert their power.
And only then did they start targeting the Pantheon with full power, starting by trying to exterminate the Crows of the Night.
So Yovan had to act quickly because after finishing up with paradise, they'll target the slowly growing Night Crows system in New World.
Thus, the event that will become known as the Migration Of The Night took place, illustrated by hundreds of thousands of crows flying from all sorts of places in Paradise towards New World.
The Pantheon has officially given up on paradise, for now. It was bound to happen, Yovan knows, but it happened faster than he anticipated, thus why he has to return to his crew.
That unfortunately means that a significant portion of the world that can purchase the Energy Steroid pills has been taken off the equation, a big blow to the Pantheon's business.
However, that also means that many of Yovan's plans are about to be implemented, and it all starts with the true reunion of the Strangers in their next target.
Well, his target was specifically Dressrosa, one of the key pieces in the rise of the Pantheon, but Yovan knows he can not afford to be associated with the Pantheon just yet.
