Just when Garp finished speaking, Kai's fist connected with his cheek and sent him flying backwards into a wall.
Garp got up quickly and charged at Kai. The two clashed mid air and started sending random punches and kicks at one another. This went on for a little while as the two fought, destroying multiple buildings accidently.
After a few minutes a crowd of people followed by many marines ran towards the two's fight, which had just destroyed another building when one of Garp's kicks knocked Kai through a wall.
One person in the crowd started yelling. "Over there! They are trying to destroy the city for no reason! They won't even listen when we tell them to stop!"
An uproar of complaints echoed from nearly everyone in the crowd. They started yelling about two menaces' who were tearing down buildings on a whim.
The marines who followed the crowd here saw the building being destroyed by Kai and Garp and clench their fists. They originally came here to stop these evil people destroying town but they never expected them to be this strong. They all froze in fear of the massive fight taking place.
One marine saw that no one else was going to do anything and decided he needed to do something himself. He steeled himself for what was to come and bravely called out.
"You can't dEsTrOy a city like that! Evil pirates!!" He called out, his voice cracking halfway through his sentence.
The rest of the marines looked at him fearfully. All of them wanted to shut him up for trying to interrupt such a huge fight between monsters. However, they all stayed silent in the face of the citizens who had started screaming out in agreement with the one brave marine.
"Take them down!"
"Fuck the pirates!"
"Go get them marines!"
When the marine who spoke out heard the support of the people, he started feeling more confident. He smirked and courageously took a step forward, towards the cloud of smoke that was covering up the battle.
The brave marine once more called out. "I'll have you know that the marine hero, Vice Admiral Garp is on this island right now! If you don't want to be killed then you better surrender right now!"
Suddenly a large shadowy figure could be seen in the cloud of smoke, moving closer and closer to the marines. The brave marine, who was now standing in front of all of his comrades, started to quiver slightly in fear. Nevertheless, he stood his ground and didn't take even one step back as he attempted to show confidence and fearlessness.
The figure emerged from the cloud of dust to reveal Garp, who was standing there and rubbing his head, which had a large bump on it.
"Did someone say my name? Is Sengoku trying to call me again? I already told you guys to just hang up whenever he calls." Garp said, mildly annoyed at the thought that he was getting even more calls from Sengoku.
'Does that guy think he's my boss or something?' Garp thought before looking towards the group of armed marines and the crowd of people.
One of the marines in the crowd shouted out in a relieved voice. "Thank god you're here, Vice Admiral! There were two evil pirates who were destroying the town, but I bet you already took them down! Hahahaha!"
Garp looked around himself confused. He saw all the destruction that he had caused, and a tick mark appeared on his forehead.
"What kind of person would do this?!" Garp called out in anger.
The marine who had just spoken answered. "We don't know yet, Vice Admiral."
At this point a large gasp was heard from the crowd. A few people within the crowd pointed behind Garp, which caused him to turn around. When Garp looked, he saw a new shadowy figure in the crowd, slowly walking towards him.
After a few very tense moments, a man walked out. He had two swords tied to his waist and green hair. He waved his hand in front of his face, trying to clear the dust surrounding him.
"*cough* *cough* Damn dust, why is it everywhere?" The man said as he failed to notice a large group of marines, a large crowd of people, and Garp all staring directly at him.
He then pulled out a map. "Where the fuck am I? How did I get here?"
He furiously searched the map before grumbling furiously and ripping it to pieces. "Damnit! Why would they sell me a fake map! It made me get lost!"
"Bwahahaha! You're one of Luffy's crew, right? How did you get here?" Garp laughed when he saw Zoro.
They were currently over half the island away from the hotel the crew was staying at, and Zoro had no need to leave the hotel at all. It was honestly impressive that he had ended up over half an island away.
When Zoro heard his name called out he looked up to see the large crowd of people in front of him. He looked very confused for a moment before he seemed to come to a realization.
"You guys are marines!" He called out in shock and immediately ran away in a random direction.
Garp turned towards the marines behind him. "What are you guys doing? Go catch him!"
All the marines quickly saluted. ""Yes sir!""
They all ran in the direction Zoro had, leaving Garp as the only person with the crowd of civilians.
Garp turned to face the people. "Bwahahaha! Don't worry, I'll find the guys who did this!"
The people all thanked Garp excessively for this as their hopes of catching the evil people soared to new heights with the marine hero now helping them.
Garp laughed as he turned away from the crowd and once again walked into the cloud of dust, eventually disappearing from the view of the people in the crowd.
On top of a building near the crowd. Two people were sitting next to each other, watching this unfold.
"Nishishishi! You better start running. The marine's hero is coming to get you." One of them stated.
"Wahahaha! Looks like I might just die today then." The other replied.
These two were Robin and Kai who had watched the whole thing play out while sitting together and holding hands. They were sitting on the ledge of the building, both allowing their feet to swing off of the edge.
Robin had a little smile on her face due to Kai's joke. "If you're going down, then I'm coming with you."
Kai smiled when he heard this. "Same here, devil-chan. I can't live without you."
Robin giggled. "Me two, if you aren't around I feel empty."
Kai's heart pounded when he heard her claim. He started thinking about telling her about his newly discovered feelings.
After a little internal deliberation, Kai decided to do it later, he wanted it to be special, more meaningful. These weren't just words to him, they were much more. Due to this fact he decided to confess to Robin later, at a more meaningful time.
In order to lighten the mood slightly, and avoid the topic Kai decided to make a joke. "Does that mean you're not gonna make me sleep outside?"
Robin side eyed him with a smile on her face, stifling a laugh. "Hmmm, maybe I'll let you sleep on the couch."
Kai's body deflated as he heard Robin. Which only caused her to giggle. Kai smiled somberly when he heard her mischievous snicker. He turned his head sideways to face Robin.
