(Chapter 8) Capital Meeting and Friends?
{Shima No ryuu: Bukeyashiki}
The lady of the house gasped as she woke up from bed, she was sweating profusely as she tried to calm her breathing down
Her name was Shirokuto and she was the Uranaishi (Fortune teller) of the clan, she was known to have predicted a storm days before the signs of one ever started to appear
Now she didn't know what to think, she shuttered before attempting to sit up and reach for the bell next to her bedside
She soon sat up from her bed and rung a small bell next to her to alert the maids of the house to quickly come to her room
Soon a young woman who looked around 20 walked in 'Yes lady Uranaishi?' the old lady just sighed before she ordered the maid to make an audience with the clan leader
"This is not good, Kyoku boy isn't going to like what I saw" she thought before trying to go back to sleep

Both Minamoto and Ryu were walking down the road and they could see Bukeyashiki in the distance
The capital was located in the middle of a forest surrounded by thousands of cherry blossom trees that made it look straight from a fairy tail
They walked for a few more minutes continuing to get closer to the city entrance did they hear growling coming from one of the large bushes on their left
A few moments later a large black bear came out and growled before rushing the pair, Minamoto just smiled as the large creature ran forwards raising it claws ready to strike
Ryu soon sheathed his wakizashi but before he could even swing the blade, an air slash came out of nowhere and struck the creature sending it flying back towards where it came from
'Hohoho, I didn't think you were one for dramatics wokiru-chan' said Minamoto as he stroked his beard soon a figure landed in front of them seemingly out of nowhere
'Ah Minamoto-sama it's good to see your well' the man said sheepishly as he went to greet the pair
He was a very short man around 5'6, he had orange hair that was wrapped in a neat ponytail, and he also wore a purple kimono
He bowed lightly before them as he spoke 'So this is the Ryu I've heard about from Father', as he took out a piece of candy before handing it to him
Ryu smiled before taking the candy 'Thank you very much' as he unwrapped it and started to nibble on the delicacy
'Follow me, Father has expected your arrival' before he lead them towards the cities gates
They soon arrived as the large doors opened as he lead them inside, Ryu's eyes widened as he saw the city within
The streets were bustling with people, and shops and stalls were open while children ran around playing with their friends
Ryu just stood behind his grandfather not knowing how to react to all this, Minamoto chuckled before they kept walking towards the main estate of the senpū family.
They soon arrived as wokiru ushered them inside, 'Ah Minamoto-chan, it has been a while' said kyoku senpū before giving the man a hug
Minamoto just chuckled before hugging the man back 'it sure has been Kyoku-sama' Kyoku ruffled Ryu's head as he lead them towards a large room
In there sat the most important members of the clan more importantly the elders and the family heads
They were one clan but each family practiced a different type of style.
There was the Narukami family which was known for their speed, the Riku family which was known for their sturdiness and strength and lastly, the Mizu clan known for their agility and calm aura
Soon everyone sat down, kyoku sat in the middle as Minamoto sat to his left while his eldest son wokiru sat on his right
Ryu just sat next to his grandfather, soon the doors opened once more as a small elderly lady walked in.
All the members of the council stood up and bowed in respect including Minamoto, Ryu soon followed his grandfather's example as he stood up and bowed
As they were bowing the old lady was eying a certain red-haired boy in the sea of men in front of her "So that's who that dragon was " She thought
A few moments later everyone sat down and the old lady took a seat across from where Kyoku sat
'Welcome Uranaishi-sama you asked to meet with the council?' asked Kyoku as he looked towards the Uranaishi
She just nodded as she looked towards Minamoto 'Oh Mina-chan how are you my boy' she said in a motherly tone as she smiled towards him
Minamoto just blushed in embarrassment as he replied 'I'm good Uranaishi-sama' She just smiled as she asked 'Who's the boy next to you'
Minamoto smiled then replied 'This is Ryu-chan he's my grandson' Ryu smiled and bowed towards her 'Nice to meet you Uranaishi-sama'
The old lady just smiled as she waved him off 'Just call me Oba-Chan little one' Soon her visage turned grim as she said
'I didn't come here to give pleasantries, but to warn you' Soon the room turned silent as everyone's attention went towards the Uranaishi
'In the next future, a disaster is going to occur and will likely lead to the end of Shima no ryuu as we know it'
Everyone in the room was quiet as Enyo the Mizu family head asked 'Do you know what kind of disaster is coming Uranaishi-sama'
The room went silent for a few moments before she said 'A monster from the North will come bringing a golden lion with him' Ryu's eyes widened as he took on a fearful look, she soon took a deep breath before continuing
'this monster with his bear hands will cause an earthquake to destroy the island while the lion would kill everything in sight' As soon as she said this the room went into an uproar, 'QUIETE!' screamed out Kyoku as the room fell into silence once more
'Is there anything else Uranaishi-sama' He asked as everyone's attention went back to the lady sitting across from them
Minamoto looked at Ryu before gesturing him to leave the room from the back door
Ryu just nodded as he stood up and left as the meeting continued

Outside Ryu shuttered as he closed the door behind him he soon left and went into the back garden of the estate
He soon saw a few boys and a girl his age practising with their wooden swords, he soon walked towards them as he introduced himself
'Hello, my name is Moeru Ryu' as he bowed towards them
They all looked at each other before smiling A boy wearing a black kimono spoke first
'Hello I'm Riku Daichi it's very nice to meet you' he said as he bowed slightly he had swept back his black hair, then the boy next to him introduced himself
'My name is Narukami Rai it's nice to meet you to Ryu-kun' he said as he also bowed slightly, the boy had spiky yellow hair and wore an orange kimono with a lightning bolt design
Next, the girl introduced herself 'My name is Senpu Sora It's nice to meet you Ryu-chan' she said as she smiled gently, she wore a white kimono with flower settles decorating it, and she also had long grey hair that went down to her waist
Lastly, a shy-looking boy that wore a blue kimono with what looked to be water waves designed on it spoke 'M-my name is Mizu Enkai I-Its nice to meet you Ryu-kun' The boy had Purple hair that covered his left eye and went down to the back of his nape
They all looked at him as he yelped before hiding behind the girl as she sweat dropped 'Dont mind Enkai he's a bit shy when meeting new people said Rai as he pointed towards Enkai
'You look strong wanna spar?' asked Daichi as he had a crazed smile, looking towards Ryu while pointing his training katana towards him
Ryu just smiled awkwardly before saying 'Yes I'm pretty good with a sword' As soon as he said this Daichi's grin grew wider before Rai threw his training sword towards him
'knock yourself off Ryu-san, Daichi is pretty ruthless when it comes to fighting' said Rai as he sat down on the porch of the estate
He was soon followed by Enkai and Sora as they sat next to him and cheered Daichi on.
Ryu just sighed before thinking to himself "Am I going to do this?" just as he thought this Daichi swung towards his head
Ryu just ducked down as Daichi went for another strike this time to his side, as Ryu just jumped backwards avoiding the strike by an inch
