Noble Emblem

A young Brave walked out of his village, gathered companions to his side, defeated the Great Demon King, became famous, then came back with beauties in hand! This was a legend that appears in the world of Seyrol every 200 years! Our protagonist, however, isn’t a Brave. Even so, for over a thousand years his figure has loomed throughout its history. Unwittingly, the name of the Red Priest began to resound throughout the world. Red Priest’s legend included extraordinary sword techniques and magic, erudite knowledge, and an almost prophetic ability to lead young Braves toward the proper path. People of the world think of him as a descendent of the ancient Golden Race which led to his omnipotence. In essence, however, this was just the characteristics of the profession known as ‘Noble’. A word from the fabulousest translator/editor on Earth which is me I took upon this translation/editing project for the same reason I started translating my first Chinese novel. There are just too many big ass gems buried in a deep cesspool. I've long guessed that Qidian stopped introducing good Chinese novels on this platform in order to give some breathing room for English (and other) originals, but I don't agree with such approach. From a reader's standpoint, it is such a shame that we don't even know how many brilliant works we are missing because of the language barrier. To be honest, I'm mainly copypasting from the site called Novelhi. It is a really good resource and their machine translation is the best I've seen so far, and they also translate up to the latest available chapter. Still, they have several issues. For some reason they always miss the last paragraph which make you can missout on a potentially very important information related to a story, and they also have parts where just a couple of words gets repeated for a whole paragraph and it actually replaces the original text. They also translate an ad together with a chapter which is immersion breaking. I'll be correcting the inherent sins of such MTL with manual editing and translation and I will also polish some rough edges so that the readers will have as much seemless reading experience as possible. You will definitely have a better time reading this than me for sure

About self-confidence

"That's good enough?"

Looking at that, Emma raised her voice and asked back, "I'm exhausted just to create two animals of different elements, let alone such an unbelievable magic image … Is there a dragon's magic core embedded in Beta's head?"

Then, she suddenly paused and looked at Shirley. "Can you do it?"

Shirley shook her head. "The goddess definitely can, but I can't. But Beta's move is definitely not something that can be done by a Master, unless he has some special ability. "

Alice said, "I remember that Beta mentioned that he was a Legend, right?"

"Even a Legend can't do that." Shirley shook her head. "Only a Demigod can control so many elements at the same time. That's an ability …"

Shirley didn't say anything else, but everyone understood what she didn't say.

Leaving the discussion in the space aside, Beta waved his hand and turned down the two's offer. For him, it would be easier to find the clues about the True Ancestor of vampires if he could enter the upper class of Perth with this opportunity.

If he were still a player, he could spend his time here and find the clues. However, he still had a territory to develop, and it would be troublesome if he didn't go back for a long time.

Of course, he could use the magic array to teleport back and forth, but that would be very troublesome, and the cost of the teleportation would be very high. Once or twice wouldn't be a problem, but if he had to return multiple times, even with Beta's financial resources, he would feel the pinch.

After all, the farther the teleportation was, the more materials it would cost. The distance between Perth and the wetland was at least a thousand kilometers. The material cost was almost fifty gold coins, which was enough to support a small noble for half a year.

Attending the banquet and making friends with the two local Mages were all for the sake of completing the quest faster.

One more friend meant one more path. It was true in many cases.

Just as the two Spell Casters of Perth City were feeling grateful, three knocks came from the wooden door. After a delay of two seconds, the door was gently pushed open.

A middle-aged man led three men in. The three men behind him were all younger than one another. The oldest one looked like he had just gotten married, while the youngest one looked like he had just grown a beard.

"Mayor!"

"Mayor!"

The two local Mages stood up and slightly bowed to the middle-aged man.

The middle-aged man congratulated the two Mages and said to Beta with a smile, "You must be Mr. Beta Lyon. I'm glad you came to my banquet. I'm the mayor, Cole Middleton."

Beta nodded and said with a smile, "I'm Beta Lyon, the lord of the wetland of Hollevin. I'm glad to receive your invitation."

Beta was also a Lord, and Lords had the same status as Lords, so there was no such thing as superiority or inferiority. As such, they didn't find it strange that Beta didn't give any formal greetings.

Apart from status, Beta was actually slightly superior to his opponent. After all, Beta's recent achievements were too shocking, and Beta was also a Master Professional. Like Hollevin, Sunland didn't have many Master professionals.

Although Cole was an elite warrior and a lord, he knew very well that he was not important in front of this young man. He was just curious as to what this young man wanted to do in Perth.

Was he just passing by, or did he have ulterior motives?

If there was an ulterior motive, was it beneficial to Perth or detrimental to the city?

These were all within Cole's considerations. Perth was too important to his family, and he would not allow anything to happen to the city.

Beta had already guessed the reason why Cole had invited him over. He was also a Lord, and if he were to put himself in Cole's shoes, he would also be nervous if an uncontrollable powerhouse appeared in his territory. He would also try to figure out the other party's intentions.

"These are my three sons."

Cole pointed to the three young men behind him and continued, "The eldest son is Frodo, the second son is Sauron, and the third son is Gollum."

Beta's eyes twitched. He had three sons. The first two were normal, but the third son's name was obviously strange. Was there a strange reason?

As if seeing through Beta's thoughts, Cole smiled and said, "My third son's mother is an alien. She insisted on giving her son such a name, so I couldn't do anything about it."

Beta took a closer look at the youngest boy and found that he indeed looked a little different from his two older brothers. His eyes were deeper, and his nose was taller.

The three young men bowed to Beta. They all had different expressions on their faces, but there was a sense of envy in their eyes.

After all, Beta looked about the same age as them. Not only was he already a Lord, but he was also a Master. In comparison, they were sheltered under the wings of their elders, so it was natural for them to feel a little unbalanced.

"Go and greet the others."

Cole asked his three sons to leave the room and sat down. He then asked the other three to sit down as well. He then looked into Betta's eyes and said, "The people of Sunland have always been straightforward. That's how the people of the desert are. Sir, I'm very curious. What do you want to do in our city? "

"If there's anything you can help with, just say it. If it's something difficult, we can try to discuss it and see if we can find a suitable solution."

Cole wasn't a smart person, but he had a strong point. He liked to put things on the table. Among the nobles, this method wasn't very clever, but it was very effective in many cases. For example, when he met a player like Beta.

Beta looked at the two mages on his left and right. He knew very well that if he said something wrong, these two mages would most likely attack him. The castellan in front of him was also an elite warrior, and his strength was not bad. Beta also felt that there seemed to be other people outside the door.

He had been surrounded.

In fact, Beta wouldn't be scared of them at all if they were to fight. Besides, there were three strong women in the space. Once they were released, it would be very easy for them to destroy the city. But he was here to accomplish his mission, not to stir up trouble.

So, Beta said with a smile, "I'm here to look for something."

"Something? What is it?" Cole was slightly confused, but he was much more relaxed. "Can you be more specific? Maybe I can help you find it."

Cole really wanted to help the person in front of him find what he wanted and send him away as soon as possible. It was too dangerous for an expert with unknown intentions to stay in his city. Who knew when something would pop up.

Beta shook his head and said, "I don't know what it is. I'm investigating it."

Cole, however, was not convinced. "Even you know what it is. How can you find it?"

Cole's suspicion was written all over his face.

Beta knew that such a thing would happen, but he couldn't say that he was here to look for the True Ancestor of vampires, could he? That would only alert the enemy. He continued with a smile. "I don't know what that thing really looks like. But I know that a lot of trouble will happen where it appears. "

"So, you're asking the rats to fight it for you?" Cole stared at Beta like a ferocious tiger that was hunting its prey.

Beta wasn't even scared of dragons, let alone a ferocious beast. He met the guy's eyes and said casually, "Yes, I'm sure that this thing has nothing to do with Mayor Middleton, and there won't be any conflicts of interest. Please rest assured."

Since he had already spoken to this extent, if he continued to pursue the matter, he would definitely shed all pretenses of cordiality. Cole was well aware of that. He adjusted his attitude and said with a friendly smile, "Okay, I'm glad to hear your answer. I believe that you'll have a great time traveling in this city, too. I have other guests to greet, so I'll be taking my leave. "

Cole stood up and nodded at the three people in the room again. He finished the fruit wine in his hand and left the room.

When he turned a corner in the corridor not far away, he said to his three sons who had been waiting for a while, "Send the best scouts to watch that man. What he said should be true."

His youngest son asked innocently, "If it's true, why do you still want to watch him? He doesn't seem to have any conflicts of interest with us. "

His eldest son looked at his younger brother in disdain and said, "Father, you want to see if you can get anything from it, don't you?"

Cole nodded and said coldly, "Something that even a Master-level powerhouse is after must be something extraordinary. If we can get it, it will be a great collection whether or not it's of any real use to us. Maybe it will come in handy one day. "

"But we will offend a Master Spellcaster." The second son frowned.

"A Master Spellcaster is indeed terrifying." Cole chuckled. "But he's too arrogant and came alone. A Spellcaster without protection is not a difficult target to conquer. Our Middleton family guards this Golden City. If we don't have some hidden forces, we would have been swallowed by other families long ago. "

The eldest son seemed to have known about this long ago, but the eyes of the second and third sons lit up.

In the room behind them, Aisha and Benedict breathed a sigh of relief when they saw the mayor leave.

The castellan did not see what Beta had done, but they did. Moreover, they were Spell Casters, so they knew very well how difficult it was to achieve such a feat. This also indirectly proved how terrifying Beta's strength was.

They had already felt that the mayor was showing some hostility, and if Beta's answer was wrong, he would make a move. And the spellcasters who were worshiped by Perth City naturally had to follow suit.

The two didn't want such a thing to happen, because they felt that Beta was not something they could deal with.
