Aria

After thinking on the way back home, I wanted to tell them about the egg since it's going to hatch soon enough.

"Mom! Dad! I have something I need to show you." I yelled as I stepped inside the house.

"What is it?" My mom came to me and asked.

"This." I held out the egg wrapped with one feather.

"August, is that what I think it is?" My mom asked, clearly concerned.

"What is it?" My dad asked worriedly, seeing the expression on my mother's face.

As he looked at what was on my hand, his eyes widened.

"T...That's a dragon's egg! Aug, you need to put it right back to it's nest right now or bad things are going to happen once the mother finds it's baby being stolen by us." My father said in a strict tone.

"But the mother was dying! She told me to take the baby for her." I answered back

"I don't know about this Dominic..." You can see the worry in my mom's eyes.

"August, are you sure about this? Are you willing to take responsibility when the egg hatches?" My dad asked while raising one eyebrow up.

"Yes! I will take full responsibility when the egg hatches." I answered back confidently.

"But Dominic, I don't know about this I-" My mom was cut off by my dad.

"Yes, I trust our son. Even though he's only 3, I will still trust him no matter what." My dad confirmed.

My mom rubs her temples while thinking this over, and then she looks back to me.

"Fine, Aug I hope you take care of your bond when it hatches." My mom said, still having a hint of concern in her voice.

"Thank you!" I said and then ran off into my bedroom.

*2 weeks later*

I've been observing the egg for a while now, I had made some theories about when this egg will hatch; I think that this egg will hatch near the date of my birthday which is in 1 more week.

I have been trying to insert my mana into the egg to see what happens, and to my surprise it has been taking my mana in without resisting it.

As for the mana and will that Alora has given me was so powerful that I leapt from dark red to pure red, which was amazing! Leaping 3 stages was just unbelievable, and for the will- I still haven't figured out how to use it.

Alora said that I have to go to the Elven Kingdom of Esmond and meet Elder Marek, who was the king of the Esmond.

I still have to tell them about me going to the Elven kingdom 'Damn it, should I tell them right now before my birthday?'

I'll just have to do it, the earlier the better. I will need to drop the bomb soon enough.

As I walked up to both of my parents and explained everything, including my will from Alora.

"So I will go to the Elven kingdom after my birthday; but I promise that I will come back before 2 years." I said, finishing after explaining everything.

"hmmm..." My dad thought deeply.

"Are you sure about this Aug? Do you really have to go to the Elven Kingdom?" My mom asked me.

"I am confident about this, plus I'm already on my pure red stage and combined with my sword techniques I can protect myself." I said confidently, knowing that no one has seen a 3-year-old on a pure red stage and almost on dark orange.

"I will accept this but on two conditions." My father looked really serious when saying he had a condition.

My mom looked at my father, shook her head and sighed.

"Thank you, but what are the conditions you are talking about?" I asked questionably

"You will come back in 2 years or earlier and keep yourself safe. If anything dangerous happens, try to run away as fast as you can." My dad said calmly.

"I will agree with your father's conditions, I just want you home in one piece." My mom agreed.

"I will! Thank you." I said as I smiled at my parents.

I couldn't help but be excited for the adventure ahead of me.

*On August's Birthday*

As I woke up, I went and took a bath. When I came out, I saw the egg hatch. As the little dragon white dragon cracked its shell.

'Papa!' The dragon said in my mind.

"wha... what?!" I screamed, hearing someone calling me papa when I'm only 3...

'Papa?' The dragon questioned my screaming.

The dragon sounds like a girl...so I'll name it...Aria!

'I will call you Aria from now on!' I said in my mind.

'Aria...Yay! I'm Aria!' she said in excitement.

After Aria hopped on my shoulders, I introduced her to my parents. My mom was pretty shocked, but I can tell that my dad wasn't even shocked anymore. He just expects me to do these unordinary things out of nowhere.

We all dressed up and got ready for the party. I wore saint blue shorts and a saint blue shirt with a black woolen tunic over it, and finished with boots that reached just beneath my knees.

As we walked closer to the garden, I could hear people chattering and I could also hear some faint whispers; I guessed that after my bond hatched, some of my senses had been sharpened.

Pushing the backdoor open I could see about a dozen people standing there staring at where the noise came from.

My father and mother each stepped beside me and my father began to speak.

"Thank you all for coming to my son's 4th birthday party! Please help yourselves with the food and we will bring the cake after a few more minutes. Now enjoy the party!"

As I walked down from the stairs, the crowd started to get noisier as fast as it got quiet.

People were introducing their sons and daughters to me so they can form connections with our family, but having knowledge from my past, I rejected them nicely.

When the party ended, my mom and dad bought me news that I never thought would hear…

My mom was pregnant with my younger sibling.

I was truly shocked, especially when I was going to go to the Elven kingdom. I didn't know what to say, but to say I was happy.

"I am truly happy, I will be waiting to see my sibling when I come back." I smiled at her.

"I will be waiting for you too." My mom smiled and chuckled.

Packing my things for the trip and heading out; waving goodbye to my parents while Aria hops on my shoulders, not knowing what was going to happen ahead of me...
