People filled out of the school in starts and sputters, many of the new arrivals wanted to stay behind to talk with Maguari or Davi.
Ivo watched from the sidelines as Davi navigated their questions, arms stiff at his sides or crossed protectively in front of his chest. He fidgeted a lot, Ivo noticed. He was out of his comfort zone speaking with people he didn't know, but he still did it.
It was an endearing sight.
Alina bumped into his shoulders. "You have hearts in your eyes," she said. Mari 'oooh'd obnoxiously and she patted her head in approval.
"Speaking of," Ivo pointed at his eyes, "you think I can do something interesting to them soon?"
"Like what?"
He shrugged. "I don't know, maybe I will want hearts in them." He almost said stars. His mind couldn't help drifting towards Vice.
Ivo wished he was there. His chest tightened at the mere thought that he had no idea when he would see him again.
